Meet Beauty, her hawaiian name means Garland of Heaven and earth. She was given my middle name. Ever since I was young I always hoped for a little girl that I could dress up and put ribbons in her hair. I would fulfill some of my dreams through her and she would like all of the things I was interested in. It must be an Eaton curse. (Eaton, happens to be my maiden name) My beautiful little princess very quickly grew to be very independent complete with what she liked and disliked. She happened to like everything I disliked and disliked everything I liked. crushed). I know how my mother must have felt. I have tried to find a compromise and common ground. She is so much like me. Her and her sister have all of my qualities put them both together and it is me to a T! Beauty, is quiet and tender hearted. She is sensitive and is the keeper of our family. She does for everyone. She has a heart of gold. Ever since she started middle school she has had a cellphone and it happens to be her best friend. I have never seen a girl able to text without even looking. She is not in any sports but she does like to play volleyball and girls basketball with the YW. She just recently got 10 inches cut off of her hair. NEVER, could I do this. She woke up and said I want a haircut. We went out 3 days later and OFF it was. It is cute! She has a beautiful voice. I love to hear her when she sings. She is my scholar and is all about grades. She tested and is in all AP classes and honors. She holds the second highest English and reading scores for all students in her middle school and throughout all middle schools in the Charlotte Mecklenburg County. Makela, is an avid reader and writer. She has written some of the most indepth, thought provoking poems, I have ever read. It leaves me thinking I cant believe she is only 13. She is absolutely breath taking and has a true grasp of the gospel. She has many gifts of the spirit. She keeps searching for a talent that is easily seen when some of the most sacred and blessed talents are unseen and talents which she beholds. I wish she could see what I see in her. She spoke in sacrament meeting, this past Sunday and gave a beautiful talk. She is a very good speaker. I am always impressed and amazed by her. I think she has a smile that lights up an entire room. It is electrifying. She wears her heart on her sleeve. (just like her mama) If mama aint happy, aint nobody happy! She can't hide her feelings and she is hard to warm up after she has been stirred. (just like her mom) One of the things I love most about her is she always comes home from school happy and bounces through the door, like we haven't seen each other for years and says, "HI MOMMY" I love you, how was your day! It is kind of a "thing" we do with each other. We will jump for joy and greet each other and act a fool, jumping and hugging; like we haven't seen each other for years. We saw it on one tv show a few years back and it always makes us smile. Gotta love that!.

Oh what a beautiful daughter.
I laugh when you say she likes what you do not and vise versa.
My daughter and I were the same way...and then one day she became my best friend.
She is so beautiful. My daughter and I like different things and are very different. I understand that! m
