It's MY BIRTHDAY

So, today is my birthday! (well, Sunday the 16Th of Dec)I am so excited!!! Mr. Incredible, gave me the best birthday present about a week ago and he didn't even have to try. I have a thing about numbers. When I officially turned 29. I decided I would be 28 and just jump on into 30! Then I was dirty thirty, or flirty thirty. I tend to dislike odd numbers.

For an entire year I thought I was 38! (did I mention, I happen to stink at math and I don't even try to compute) I am sitting in sacrament LAST WEEK and I sadly say, "I am going to be 39! ughh, how sad!
Mr. Incredible leans over and says,
"Mother Goose, what are you talking about?"
I say,
"39, me, next week, a duh".
He says,with the same indignation,
"Do the math, you are going to be 38!"
"What?"
The heavens opened from above. I saw a light, I felt the light, I heard the angelic voices singing HALLELUJAH! I felt invigorated!
"what, I am 37??
I am squirming around in my seat. I am grinning from ear to ear, I am YOUNG! I am YOUTHFUL, I am an entire year younger, than I thought! ::Let me enjoy this moment." OK, so then udder feelings of stupidity creep in, but only for a moment because I am a freakin' year YOUNGER, than I had thought. This entire year, I have been telling everyone I was a YEAR OLDER!!! :pimp slaps myself, not once but twice:: It's OK. I deserve it! I kinda like it too.

I woke up Sunday morning and Mr. Incredible had made me my favorite breakfast. Crepes with a fresh strawberry compote and fresh homemade whipping creme! OH MY, it was absolutely wonderful and he did a great job. This was a stretch for him, because Bill's breakfasts are usually grits, eggs and some sort of meat, or the usual pancakes or french toasts! The crepes were heaven. They were light fluffy and divine. The fresh whip creme was airy and just perfect! What a fabulous breakfast. Then came time for my presents! I get to pick out my own studio lights for photography. I am so excited! I can't wait!! I also love karaoke, in home only. I got a sweet new karaoke system. It is much like my old one but BETTER! It was pricey, I can't believe I got it, but I am awful glad I did. The entire family spent the day singing away. I have gotten so rusty since I haven't sung on a mic since Sweetheart's baptism.

Time for dinner. I had requested shrimp fettuccine Alfredo with garlic stick bread. I thought I was sitting at Olive Garden. Flying to NYC every other week, to have lunch in Little Italy has spoiled me from enjoying any type of tomato base sauce. Everything was cooked perfectly. Yep, my presents resolve around food. However, the bigger presents were given to me by Mr. Incredible. The fact that he would take the time and cook my favorites despite he had never done it before or that it would take him even longer because I wanted things from scratch. He wanted to please me and make me happy. He truly succeeded!

I love to cook it. Many many moons ago I used to love to cook gourmet foods and loved to bake anything fancy and frilly. It is not hard, you just have to want to do it. It is all about presentation. I love to cook. I feel like it is time to revisit this talent. I am out of the diaper changing, running around and my children are in school. I love cake! I love love cake! However, I rarely get carrot cake because my family does not care for carrot cake. I got a carrot cake for my birthday and it was most delish! My mom said to be on the look out for 4 HUGE boxes. I can't wait to see what she got me! I had countless birthday wishes. I am loved!

We also had tithing settlement tonight. Our entire family went in and we got to chat with the bishop. The bishop opens his office door, greets us and beckons us to come in. All 6 of us make our way in and instantly he drops these bags of candy on the floor and the kids go wild. Our bishop is known by children and adults that he will always have chocolate, candy etc. It felt wonderful that 3 of us that earned money this year were full tithe payers! It is the Lord's money and we are truly blessed for what we receive. What a perfect ending to my wonderful birthday.
