This weekend has been extremely busy. Surprise surprise! It is always extremely busy. Warrior had his jr. prom this week. It was so fun taking their pictures. I had a moment where time flashed too quickly and my eyes started to well, I almost couldn't see! My baby has grown so fast. Next year he will be a senior. Just one more time in a tux and then off on his mission and perhaps the next time he dons a tux he will be getting married. ::sniff, sniff:: On for some jammin pictures! (click on pics for larger view)
This is what boys do before prom! He will do a limo his senior year.(Hmm... I suspect it is very different from what his prom date is doing)

He is dressed and ready! It took him all but 30 minutes. Complete with a corsage and of course a wallet in his back pocket.

A story through pictures. Warrior picks Yadira up, they exchange flowers, they meet some other prom goers, they pose for pictures, Cinderella loses her shoe, Prince Charming helps put the shoe on and he kisses her hand. awe, how shweet!

You take amazing pictures! I hope they had a great time!
I forgot that boys actually clean cars out...my hubby always waits for me to do it.
It is definitely more fun to be a girl on prom day.
okay now i have to comment on all of yours too, LOL. i love these pictures. i love that they went with yellow.- let me tell ya about the crawfish. if they are cooked right they are DELICIOUS. there is a method for peeling them. you only eat the tail. i should make a little video on how to do it and put it on my blog, LOL you break the head off (some people suck the heads but i don't) then you just pull the shell off the top of the tail, grab the meat and pull the rest of it out and eat it. i can peel them so fast!
oh, and another thing you said on my blog- YOU ARE RIGHT- there are barely any black kids at my kids' schools. it's weird. that's just louisiana i guess. there are areas where there are mostly black schools, and others that are all white. this state may as well still be segregated in certain areas. at the high school where i worked in denham springs we had maybe 40 black kids out of 1200 students. and trhey stuck together in one little area all the time. that's how it was when i was in high school here too. sad that nothing has changed.
Thanks for all the comments on the prom pics! I do wish I had more time to work with and I would have posed them differently. Oh well, Spencer wants me to make a prom book. It is like a photo album but it is a hard bound book. Shutterfly and other places do these.
KT! you definitely need to make a video of this! I just don't know. At least, I don't have to eat the heads or those beaty black eyes.
How sweet! Great pictures. I was looking at your photography blog. I think we need to have another photo shoot. I love your pictures!
