BE PROUD

I am liberating myself and taking after Alice. She posted this post Mr. Incredible and I have never been the parents to deny our children any activity because of our size or looks. We get out there and do it! We might not do it like we did back in da day but we do it! If our children were interested in roller blading, we got roller blades. They wanted to bike, we got bikes. ATV- we got ATV's, whatever the sport we are not just mere spectators we are participators! I see so many parents who do not enjoy activities with their children because of one reason or another. GET OVER IT! Miss Alice has prompted me to publicly share pictures of myself in my bathing suit. I am 15 pounds heavier than my profile picture. I'm not happy but I'm not miserable either. Umm... if you thought I was going to share a full body pic of me in my suit, "it ain't gonna happen"! You will just have to come visit me to get the full on experience!

Did you know that your body is magnified underwater? So, never allow a picture to be taken of yourself, like I just did!
NOW SHOW me your bathing suit. Before I show pics that I have... roflrofl, don't worry I won't post! Because I know paybacks are horrible.

So instead of being unhappy! I am thankful. I am thankful that I have a body that allows me to enjoy my children. I am thankful that I am healthy enough to live life right beside them. I am thankful I can swim. I am thankful I can get dressed unassisted. I am thankful I can put a bathing suit on, I am thankful they make clothes in my size. I am thankful I AM ME!! I wouldn't want to be ANYBODY ELSE!!
check out Sweetheart's face! I am swimming between her legs.

Enough pictures of me! I just love underwater pictures! Don't you??

I need to proud of my body too. I wish I was more like you. I am proud to be an American. I do instill it in the kids, but lost it myself years ago. I might give it a whirl though. Who knows.

Thanks for the inspiring post. Your awesome.

Good for you! Thanks for the comment on my story, I am glad you found my blog! It is fun to see the people that you meet this way! I love Teri! She is awesome! I love to do things with my kids, I am heavy but it doesn't stop me! I am glad your son is doing well! It amazes me, I would have rolled over and died if I had to go through what she did.

You are such a good example. Natelli and I have been talking about this lately, she's in young women and so many girls struggle with being comfortable in their own skin. We try to be good examples and be happy with ourselves whatever our skin looks like. I'm certainly not my ideal weight or shape right now, but I'm happy I'm me! Thanks for being happy with you too. I'm happy with you!

Great blog. I HATE being seen in a swimsuit - but after your inspiring post, I think I'll do it. It may be in another state at 2:00 am - but I'll do it. Ha! I just need to "get over it"!

=)

Every once in a while I check out your blog. I met you a couple times in M'boro. You are a great mom and I enjoy reading your family's adventures. This was a good reminder as to what is important most... Thanks for sharing!

I love love love love love this post!!!!! Can I say love again, because I really do. I too think it is so important not to let the kids or us miss out on anything because of different sensitivities we have.

I think you have a new blog stalker (me)!!!!
