David BECKHAM -you

Watch out Mr. Beckham this up and rising soccer star has got skillz! Actually, this is Dash's first year to play soccer. He truly is sports talented. There is not a sport that we have found that Dash just doesn't excel in! Scratch that, he has just told me swimming. I have told before how Dash will sit for hours and you-tube how to play a sport or chess or whatever it is he is interested in. He you-tubed the college correct way to pitch a baseball. He you-tubed how to dance to a particular song, he you-tubed how to play chess. He seeks, watches and learns and he learns it well! I'm so glad we are not sitting in baseball bleachers this season! I needed a break. Dash is playing with the 8 yr. olds. He dominates the field and that is being modest. He also makes a great keeper. He loves it when he scores! Don't we all? Is there a sport that you or your kids are particulary good at?
be sure to view the pics of the post below, football!

1. Shawwweet photos..

Please fly out here to shoot my children.. (with your camera that is).

2. There is something with the Tongan/American culture, every halfie I know, doesn't matter what they do, school, sports, they excell in it all... My children have only done soccer, gmnastics, and basketball, but they rock at anything they do.. And still excell in school, (wow) that sounds like I am love with my kiddos.. Yep your right!! I am.

he sounds like a pretty amazing kids.
Those are awesome pics!
I put my oldest, KJ, in soccer this year (she's 6), and she is loving it!
I think my kids all got the sport gene, and not the musical gene.
DANGIT!!

You have amazing children! I think I've said before that you reign over a THE genetic pool of prowess and good looks! Seriously! Dash sounds like a truly motivated, go-getter. That is such a great trait to have in life not just in sports. He is definitely headed in the right direction. My son played sports, too. Basketball and Football. His basketball coach called him "the hustler" because he was the best defensive player. But he is more of a musician, so he's not playing sports this year and concentrating on his amateur rock band. And I'm being a supportive Mom, if you know what I mean :-) Hey, I checked out your book on Blurb. A.W.E.S.O.M.E. I wish you were my neighbor. I'd hire you to shoot our photos. I couldn't figure out how to enlarge the pages though so I could read the text.

I think it's great that your kids are involved in so many things and you parents support them so well. It takes a huge commitment on your part. I hope I can do the same, should my kids want extra-curriculars.

Question: Did you start them in sports, thinking/hoping they would like it? Or did you play sports with them enough when they were younger to know what they would like? My boys are 2 and 3, and I haven't started them in anything. 3-4 seems a good age for some kids. Spiderman (3) hasn't shown a whole lot of interest, but I think he'd enjoy soccer or T-ball. The Hulk (2), seems VERY sports inclined, which I love. He's a passionate kid, and I want him to have a place to channel that passion.

Sorry about the long comment. Just curious.

Alright Dash! Way to be the Man... I love how you do your pictures in the blocks. Do you have to have a program to do that?

Devri- I know what you mean about the blood thing and sports!
thanks mamarazzi, merrianne, dawn and maravic!

sher, I believe I have one who has the musical gene but I have no skillz in how to support her. She loves music and has a beautiful voice.

wonderwoman- dh and i have always been active and participators in sports, our children grew up watching us play and we always had a ball or something with them when young. No, we didn't enroll them in sports. My oldest started when he was in the 6th grade and then he was on school teams.
the younger two are in sports for two main reasons, we are more stable and have the money to do so. They have begged to be in these programs and we told them they had to make sacrifices financially so they could. They were willing.

just play with them and be active in sports yourself and they will follow. If you aren't then they will be active and enjoy whatever it is you are into, most of the time. My second daughter hates to sweat and isn't into sports. She can barely stomache to watch it.

My girls are into swimming, socca, basketball. They tried gymnastics last year and 2 out of 3 quit. Our 2nd is very disaplined and could play any sport out there...our 1st loves to play, but our 3rd at this point only likes to play if she knows she gets a prize or trophy. Funny kids! Your kids are so dang cute!
P.S. I am adding you to my blog list! Yay!

Great photos! We should get together {like at a beach and shoot each other's families!} How cool would that be.

Your kids are awesome. Must be the parenting. m

We just finished our last games this week. As a first time coach of soccer, a game I have never played or been around. You tube was a life saver. You can really learn all you need to about any sport. Which is just so cool.
