The flight didn't look great but we had a chance. The gate agent gave us 6 seats. She then called us up and took 3 seats away. Mr. Incredible and the two younger children flew out. Me and the older children stayed in Albany to catch the next flight. There was a flight leaving in an hour to Washington, DC and then out to Nashville. DANGIT!!! We didn't get on that flight.
We waited another hour and got on the next flight to Charlotte. Albany is always a tight airport to travel out of because their are so few. The flight was rough taking off due to weather. I was a little apprehensive. The aircraft was rocking and felt like it was struggling to gain altitude. My inner panic button almost went off but quickly subsided as the aircraft leveled out. As soon as we arrived into Charlotte our plane for Nashville was boarding. I thought we were going to miss that flight but we made it! We managed to reach Nashville two hours after Mr. Incredible arrived and all of our luggage made it too!! We are happy campers! Our flight back to Charlotte was quite easy to get on.
This is basically what our Airport travels looked like during the holidays.
Hmmm...do you smell something?? This flight was wide open we had our own rows.
Look there is my mansion in the sky! That is Charlotte!
Waiting in baggage claim! Never check baggage if you don't need to.
Retrieving luggage
Waiting on luggage. It is starting to sound like a bad country western song.
Gathering the luggage. Everyone has their own specific job.
Inside joke! The two older ones are scheming yet another plan!
walking the endless corridors
Can you come pick us up??
Just one more gate! We are almost there.
Dash was tired on the flight out Charlotte. Mr. Incredible and Sweetheart sat next to each other and Dash sat one row ahead next to an older lady. She had wooden knitting needles that she used to hold her hair up in a bun. Dash is sitting next to Mr. Incredible in this picture but on that flight. He had fallen asleep and was laying on his tray but he had then moved to the kind older lady's tray. He was sprawled out across her tray on her lap. Mr. Incredible looked over the seat and apologized and went to move him. She said, he wasn't bothering her a bit. LOL
She had to knit above his head because his head was on her tray! Mr. Incredible looked again and he was sleeping all over her shoulder! OH my soooo embarrassing.
Yeah, remind me NOT TO slouch! Such a flattering picture, wouldn't you agree??
I post this so it will motivate me to get to the gym! I think it will work. Over all we had a great time travelling free. There are really no issues getting on flights it is usually through the holidays. WE have learned to not stress and give ourselves plenty of time.

I love seeing pictures of your beautiful family!!!
Wow...I don't think I could do that! I am not one to "hurry up and wait"!! LOL!!
Diet?! WHAT!? Ummm...No you don't!!
You my dear, have a lot of patience. Love the pictures!
The joys of flying non-rev. I've never attempted it during the holidays. Glad you didn't have to wait to terribly long.
It's funny. My boys complain all the time that they've never been on a plane & how unfair we are as parents... Your kids are pro's.. That is so cute about Dash. What a sweet woman to not care. Too cute.
Glad you guys got in so sonn after them.
Glad to hear it all went well. I guess you might know too much about flying. I would not have known to be concerned about not gaining altitude. Ignorance is a good place to be at times. m
