Ring in the New Year

It was so cold! I did not take pictures this year! Mr. Incredible did it for me and he even video tiped!

Each year we always get together with Mr. Incredible's family. Usually we alternate but this year my nephew had a wresting tournament. So, we are celebrating in TN. Last year we celebrated in Georgia. Remember this year when we almost burned the house down and three cars?? Click here to read about it.

It was very uneventful, no houses were nearly burned, no dogs or children were injured and no one scrambled for their lives. However, We are Solomon's and we can't stand an uneventful evening of a beautiful display of fireworks! They were amazing. I love how Mr. Incredible and his brother purchase fireworks for everyone. They are sure to buy sparklers for the young, Fireworks that light up the sky for the ladies and loud obnoxious fireworks for themselves and the older kids.

So, since it was so uneventful they decided to see if they could set fire to the grass. The grass would barely burn. So they moved the leaves! At first they put it out instantly and then realized, The leaves are putting off some heat. It was pretty cold out there New Years Eve.
WE had so much fun there! It is always great getting together with our TN cousins. We feel like we are right at home. Thanks for making us feel that way.

That is so cool. You can't have fireworks here in AZ. Sucks... I would love to have ones like that. Yeah we have had friends pick up sparkelers for us. But no big bang ones...
Glad you had a great time! I was thinking about you & wondering when you'd post...

HI,
This looks like such fun. I love spending time with family. I say that if the fire department did not have to be called, everything is fine! They were just trying to stay warm right? M

Your fire story was----well, funny, I'm glad no one was seriously hurt and I'm sorry for your DH burned hand, it reminded me of a incident I had right out of high school. My daddy bought me a new volkswagon, someone had put a battery that wasn't meant for volkswagons in it. The battery was under the back seat. I was driving home from work and I smelled bacon cooking-----yum, yum. Well, as soon as I arrived home I opened the car door and the entire back seat with up in flames. I ran into the house screaming, my cars on fire, my cars on fire. My sister ran to the kitchen and grabbed the closest thing she could find--a skillet! Now, just how much water does a skillet hold??? Not much! My dad put the fire out with the water hose. The firemen came and that was a thrill for me because they were all good looking and flirty. (I was young!) I took them cookies a couple of days later, my friend ended up dating one of them and they are still married!
