Sweetheart had her 5th grade graduation. She was excited and she has worked so hard this year. WE were so proud of her. I took tons of pictures because Mr. Incredible wasn't able to be there. She has grown so much and is becoming a young lady. I can't believe how time flies. We made Sweetheart our traditional flower lei which is given at each 5th grade graduation and a new lei. I learned how to make these and this was Grandma and Papa's gift to her. A MONEY LEI!! WOOHOO and total SCORE!!! We love having Grandma here with us! It has been so much fun.
Sweetheart
One mother was crying during the ceremony. I looked at her like she had lost her mind. I mean seriously, why was she boohooing?? It's FIFTH GRADE, for crying out loud! After I got my little snicker on, I began to wonder more intimately what it was that pulled at this lady's heart strings so. I saw her keep looking at her husband in a bawling mess. All she could do was shrug her shoulders. I became more and more perplexed with her. What is her deal???
Sweetheart and her biggest fans, her brothers and sister.
My heart softened as I realized I may be that bawling mess in TWO years. TWO years my baby will be graduating 5th grade. TWO years I may be the one standing in a room full of faculty, friends and strangers blubbering like a fool. I didn't cry when my oldest graduated from 5th grade, and surely not when my second graduated and definitely not when my third child graduated, but I can't be all too sure I won't fall out when my baby graduates. So, to the blubbering mascara mess no matter what tugged so strongly at your heartstrings, from one mother to another. I feel your tears.
Sweetheart and Grandma!
Sweetheart and her mama!!

I'm jealous that your kids are done with school! Mine still have 2 1/2 weeks. AHHH!!
Oh yeah. I can count on you blubbering in two years : )
She is beautiful. Congrats to her!
hurray for sweetheart sweetheart!!! how does she feel about going to middle school?
That's so nice that your momma was there too! It makes the occasion even more meaningful when the grandparents are there!!!
love you! And you look grrrreat dahling!
Congrats to Sweetheart!! Her lei's are amazing!!
You look like your mom and Sweetheart looks like you--all 3 beautiful!!
Congrats Sweetheart! You are such a beautiful young lady. The lei's are so nice.
my baby just finished kindergarten.. but i didn't cry. not yet, anyway. The lei's are wonderful. When my 3rd was baptised on Maui last year, the gift of lei's were so amazing. From wome who loved my mom and loved my girls because of her!
Congrats to Sweetheart! Good luck with middle school!
What a fun time for her, i loved 5th and 6th grade. The lei's are awesome. I feel for the crying mom, it makes you wonder if it is something dramatic, like the child has cancer or something like that, of course I cry all of the time lately.
I didn't cry when my oldest two graduated high school, or when my oldest graduated college. I don't think I'll cry when Mik graduates in 3 years but Steve and Kass may be deployed in which case I'm sure that I will. The only place I'm teary is at chuch. I love each phase of their lives and am proud of how they are living them. Thus far , we are good.
Congrats to sweetheart. I would be blubbering..I cried at all my neices and nephews graduations. I even cried at their Christmas concerts. ((blubbering idiot in da house..lol))
Sweetheart looks very pretty with her flower leis. Good job Mother Goose! I was one of those moms crying my eyes out at Moe's 5th grade graduation and RM was no better!
Congratulations to sweetheart! I blubbered when my oldest went off to kindergarten. Totally embarrassed myself. But, I didn't cry with the other two. Must have gotten it out of my system.
I always look forward to anything you post!!
She looks so beautiful on her graduation day!!
Aww..that poor mom. It must have been her only child, or her "baby."
Either way, that lady would probably have made me tear up too!! LOL!
I'm sure your hubby really missed being there with you all, and seeing her graduate, but I'm sure he will be blessed to see all the pictures!!!
I bawled when my baby enter kindergarten this year. I had never cried with any of the others. I realized I would be alone for the first time in years.
I did not cry at my daughters 8th grade graduation last year.
But imagine I will be a mess as my oldest graduates next year from high school.
Your smiles are beautiful!
She is a doll and I love the Lei! How cool is that???!! Go Grandma! I was a blubbering mess almost 2 weeks ago for my sons high school graduation! But I'm always a blubbering mess no matter what grade they graduated from! : ) xo
I bawled whenever my 4th one did anything for the last time. He was my baby for 11 years. Now that my "Baby" is nearly 11 my only thought is a countdown...such as we will finally be done with cub soouts in September. YEAH!! But somethings still tug but now I look forward to my grandchildrens accomplishments.
Congratulations Sweetheart on moving up to middle school. (PSST don't tell anyone I thought you were just a bit older) You are a beautiful young lady!
Woo hooO!! Sweetheart... you go girl!!! :)

That is so awesome! CONGRATS!
As for myself...I never cried at kindergarden graduations...but I got teared up on our babys! Just because I realized she was the last one graduating and she was growing up! So sappy! I no...I am pathetic! Haha!
She is beautiful and smart..I didn't know that Aanya and sweetheart are the same age.. except out here, their is no middle school, they go junior hight in 7th.
That is toppers. Great job Sweetheart. I know that great things await you in your next steps. Keep up the good work.
Happiness is seeing you all smile. Gorgeous smiles.
What a beautiful family the Lord has given you! I only had one child that went through any graduations so I was the blubbering mama at all of them...K - Elementary - HS and soon to be college (I am sure I will blubber here too LOL!) What a gorgeous lei she is wearing too (both actually!) thank you for sharing your pictures with us!
I know you're going private really soon, but I wanted to leave you a blog award before you go private. Have a good weekend!
I loved your opening line...that is the exact reason I began blogging a few months ago...and now love it.
Your header pictures is awesome.
I enjoyed reading your blog this afternoon...Had some time to do some blog hopping...always enjoy finding new blogs!
Hope you will visit me. This month I am posting on our Disney trip.
Hope you don't mind me stopping by.
Pres. Hinckley's comment is a great reason to blog. I was beginning to feel like I'm wasting my time. I'll have to point out that quote to my husband.
My "baby" graduated from high school last month. When my daughter married into a Tongan family, I mentioned to my son that perhaps on his graduation, he'll have some cool leis. The only lei he got was from the neighbor but it was cool!
Have a good day!
aw! Congrats to sweetheart. That will be my Ashley next year. I think I might be a blubbering mess, just cause she's my first and I can't believe where the time has gone.
I had found you once or twice before and then when I got nominated right along side of you on HK's blog and I also see that Kanoe has commented on your post and I nominated her on my blog...this is probably making no sense....but dang what a small world...I love your blog and th e last I time I found you I read and read..I loved all of it and I love how your followers go across the top of your page...how do you do that????
