In fact, we were able to celebrate Ground Hog Day because school has been called off for the past 4 days! Here is how we celebrated and it is all because of this wonderful awesome mama! Gourmet Mom on-the-Go
She helped us to make these and these!
I have also featured them both on my recipe blog Solomonrecipes.
But because I love you. I will share it here so you don't have to click all over the place! (See, I'm nice like that. It's one of my New Year's Resolutions) Which I have tanked on most of them, so I feel especially giddy that I have at least one resolution still going strong!
Look, the little guy doesn't see his shadow!
Oh there it is!! Just add some melted chocolate to the outside of your saucer
Oh NO!! Don't go back into your hole, Phil!
Ok, if you must! WE will miss you!
Sweetheart decided to save Ground Hog Phil from his plight!
And then she ATE him! She told me he was very tasty! He is made from a mint chocolate wafer cookie. And looky here! We have a family of ground hogs that popped out of a pancake mound!
So cute, so cute! He was made from using donut holes and peanut butter choc chips for his ears! I guess what ever he saw when he popped out of his mound scared the doohickey out of him! Guess what, they are edible too! We hope your family had a very fun Ground Hog Day! We were invited to go sledding at a friend's home in our ward. He has served up many ground hogs and possums at his table and at church functions! Besides the fact that it was terribly cold, I think I was just more chicken to actually EAT a ground hog on GROUND HOG DAY!! ::shutters::
We had fun celebrating Chinese New Year, last night!
