CAMPING in the Mountains of NC

I asked that we go camping! I loved it when we went when the children were younger and we went back to the same place and it was just as nice and beautiful as we remember! It is our camping ground! On the porch of this Inn they serve pancake breakfast each morning for $6 (WE cook our own amazing breakfast) but it's great to have for those who aren't as savvy! Just inside the doors is check in desk and a small store and also where you can rent balls, tennis raquets, rafts, and games. On the premises is a nice outdoor pool and a laundry room as well as an outdoor covered theater! All of the campsites have wifi and the bathrooms are absolutely spotless!!! You can eat off the floors! Running water and an electricity outlet at each site. (which makes it nice for a crockpot, rice cooker or a griddle so bring an extension cord)

We brought the dogs and they did extremely well! The parks are all dog friendly and hike friendly to your fur babies! Did they so well and the only time I regretted having them tag along was when we went to sliding rock because the dogs couldn't go down the rock, obviously but the other falls and water areas they were allowed to go!

We eat like kings when we camp! We had baby back ribs, corn on the cob and watermelon! YUM

We later made this tarp go higher so we could walk under it but it proved as a nice shelter when it rained that night!

We had 3 hammocks set up. The boys slept in the hammock the second night. It didn't rain and it was great.  This camp ground location sits at an elevation just high enough that mosquitos can't breed. Thee is also no standing water around.  So, that makes it nice! We did notice a lot of daddy long leg spiders and the flies were very minimal.  They also have a golf cart that comes around twice a day to gather your trash! Super nice so you don't have to worry about critters in your area!

The Mr. cooking our breakfast! McDonald breakfast sandwiches. WE had sausage, bacon and fried eggs on bagels and they were better than Mc'D's

Loading the dogs up for our hiking adventure

We had ice cream at our traditional spot of Dolly's!

the first night it rained and we were under the tarp and we played heads up! super fun game! You have to describe or act out the word on your phone to the person holding the phone. If you get it right, you tip your head up for the next word to appear in a certain time span and if it is wrong or you can't guess it you tip down to pass! how many you can get in 30 seconds.   Gary the snail was found and then he was cooked in the fire.

We had oreos with marshmallows in it, chocolate chip cookies with melted marshmallows and Strawberries stuffed with fluff and nutella roasted over the fire! SUPER DELISH!!! What a beautiful life I have and great memories I have!
