Together Again

Dash's baseball game and Warrior's football game has been cancelled due to rain. I am so happy and excited! I wonder what we will do? I love it when my family is together and we are just happy being with each other and chilling. ::screech:: Oh yeah, caught dreaming out loud:: NO, seriously. I like our family times when we are all sitting together watching tv, playing a game, talking or just eating as a family. There is something of comfort and peace in those moments even when all are not in accord. My family is growing all to fast and I find myself savoring the simple moments and lingering in for just one more hug or a longer squeeze goodnght. My children are my greatest blessings and my greatest challenges as well. My most favorite moments as a family are spent when we camp. Camping grounds us and brings us back to what is truly important and what our true needs are. We aren't pulled away by electronics, media, etc. We spend time truly talking and playing with each other. The simple game of catch or frisbee. Gathering firewood and working together and discovering things together on nature hikes or walks. When we camp we are true campers. Tents, sleeping bags and cooking on the open fire. I pride myself on how i can build different types of fires, tie knots and my camping cooking skills. (I wasnt in Girlscouts for 9 years sluffing) LOL
Unfortunately, because of the rain the annual church campout has been cancelled too.
