ANIMAL KINGDOM

This is one of the last shares of our very fun Easter break with our children. I have one more to share. They have all said how much fun they had and how they really enjoyed what we did with them. It just goes to show you don't have to have or spend money to make memories. Silly string and confetti eggs and the egg hunt were all less than $10, even our wonderful trip to Mexico. We decided to go to a local zoo after our trip to NC Mexico. The only sad thing about it was Kai came down with a pretty serious allergic reaction. Sadly, she has horrible horrible allergies just as severe allergies just like her dad. Looks like we will be going back to twice a week shots. Poor girl. I hate to do that to her but she needs to.

When you go to the Lazy 5 Ranch, you can choose to ride a horse drawn wagon or you can choose to bring your own vehicle. The children and I have done the wagon before and that is fun, but not as fun as driving in your own vehicle. You can travel at your own pace. If you live in NC or are driving through, this is a must do. I suggest going in a pick up truck or a vehicle where you can open the back window.
Lazy 5 ranch
Do you know how this ranch got its name? When the original owners purchased this land there were 5 of them and all they wanted to do was sit around and be lazy. Hence the name.
We were greeted by the sweetest creatures. I think this was a kodak moment.

Check out this greeting! Very nice to meet you. He stuck his head completely in and came out with the entire bucket of feed. DANG, that made the rest of their journey kind of boring with no food. PROTECT PROTECT!

These were a little scary and a bit greedy





In the back of the pickup you couldn't hide from them because they would stretch their necks up really high and look for the bucket of food on the floor bed and dive their heads straight in for it. We had to hide the food and hit the pedal to the metal.

These guys were so gentle and sweet.

All you had to do was pour the food right down into their mouths.

These guys would not get up for anything. We begged and shook our buckets extra long and then FINALLY, they thought we were worth their while and they came to us.

Once one came a few of the others chose to see what was happening too.

What long legs you have



I am out of pictures because my battery went dead. I wanted to show the beautiful birds and the gigantic white rabbit and the CAMELS but I will leave you with one littel thought. Have you ever seen an ass before?..... I mean a four legged one? Do you know if it is a male it is a Jack Ass and if it is a female it is a ginny ass. Always a teaching moment. Most of the time small asses are just considered burrors. (or just pain in the butts)
