Happy Mother's Day

My mother's day has been all weekend! It has been so wonderful. In the beginning mother's day used to be all up to Mr. Incredible. Sometimes, he would forget to have the children tell me Happy Mother's day. Of course, this was hard for both of us. WE were newly parents. But, he has been a great father to them and have truly taught them to love and express their love. If you aren't here yet, moms don't worry it gets better.
My children are 17,13,10 and 7. They are so thoughtful and loving the energy of the pending holiday started to surface midweek. I could hear plans and secret whisperings about the pending sacred day. I had such a wonderful day! Weekend actually. I am really treated like a queen every Sunday. I am pampered.

I just want to spend a special day with just my family. Mr. Incredible took off work on Friday and we went and grabbed something to eat and we drove to Home Depot and bought way too many flowers and a pressure washer. My home looks beautiful and the house was in desperate need of a washing. It is so white! We spent the day planting and beautifying! Our bodies ached and our skin was sun kissed but it felt good. Later that evening the girls went to see a movie, Warrior went out with some friends who moved out of our ward and it was just Bill and I. We brought Dash to a high school baseball game. This is their best season in history and we have a few boys in the area that are area ranked. They won and it was a great game.

Saturday came and I was awakened by whispers and laughter. All of the kids were baring gifts. I would have been happy with the outside of the house done. It was in desperate neglect. The best flowering thing in my flower bed was a 4ft weed! (get the picture). I opened up a 4 gig extreme card, and a new lens! This is going to make studio work so much nicer with a fixed 2.8 aperture. I do still love my 50mm 1.8! I have been really busy with taking pictures, again! However, I have also picked up extra hours at the airport because I plan on taking off the summer. So, the kids and I can travel. I can't wait! I got a new chair and cards, and flowers, and dinner and breakfast of my choosing. They did a great job and I am so pleased! My house was also cleaned. WOOHOO! Anyone want to come visit? Oops, my parents are already coming. We are looking forward to them coming Memorial Day weekend. We have a big weekend planned since it is speed week for NA SCAR. My dad wants to know everything about it. They have tickets for all 4 days. I'll load pics later.

Warrior and Yadira made me a TRES Leche' cake! woohoo major brownie points and it was most delish! We had ribs, slow cooked and barbecued, Shrimp that looked like they were on steroids! YUMMY! potato salad, and marinated short ribs, Hawaiian style! (just like L&L's) I am stuffed and put myself into an eating coma. Woke up and ate again! WE had a beautiful sacrament meeting. I love watching Sweetheart and Dash up there singing their hearts out to me, and making sure I was watching them.
