fried pizza calzones with an easy dessert

For most of my life I grew up in Upstate NY, in a small town. Every year we always looked forward to the Italian Festival! We would have 4 full days of festivities of games, winning prizes, listening to great band music and food, food and more food! The aroma of hot oil and the sounds of fun would ring through the town. Oh, how I love fried pizza!
The recipe can be found here.

Add butter and confectioners sugar or

sauce and top with mozzerella.

Calzones - roll out dough, add mozzerella and place into hot oil, flip and done.

EASY PEASY DESSERT
I am loving simplicity and easy cooking. I do not want to be in the kitchen any longer than I need to be, but I do like to cook and bake. The fam went out to eat at a chinese restraunt and they had this dessert on their buffet. The fam swooned over it. I tasted it and it was good but I flicked a booger at it and huffed, " I CAN make that, and I CAN make it BETTER!!" That is exactly what I set out to do. I bought what I thought were the simple ingredients and then I went straight to Pepperidge Farms. I have made many desserts and meals and blinged it up by adding these special little products.
Have you ever used these pastry sheets? They are really easy to work with and it tastes like you went through a lot of trouble preparing your meal or dessert!
Please go here or here for the recipe!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog! If you want some Atkins ideas, let me know! I've learned to be creative with it and definitely don't eat a lot of eggs. I discovered low-carb Slim Fast at Walmart and that is usually all I need for breakfast. I also have some ways to make stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf, etc. that are so much better than trying to eat just those few things on the "list." Atkins.com has all the acceptable food lists and I noticed you can now have 20 carbs per day rather than 12 - 15 that it used to say. I go on & off the diet, but started back Monday. I've lost 5 lbs. without exercising at all, but i'm trying to make myself work out. Good luck and let me know if I can help!

Dang...you are a good cook! IT kinda looks like scones? I want to go to that side of the world and explore! We have Peach fest here, cotton days, and swiss days. Up in Boise Id we had riverfest and dairy days. I think it is cool that towns do little celebration stuff like that!
