One of my memories of dating Mr. incredible was he is a romantic at heart who is sometimes parallyzed by perfection. My darling had picked me up in his cute little black car that thumped like nobody's bizness. This thing had more woofers in it than P diddy and snoop doggy dog! (I'm not a big rapper so I have no idea if the correlation works, but it works for me) Every time he came strolling up to sweep me off my feet he had his woofers a thumping. Everyone knew he was close by and would also let me know. As if! What would be jammin? Salt and Peppa, of course. I felt like such a bad girl on the edge. Remember, I was brought up in Wonderbread, NY. I had no idea this type of music existed. He had quite an eclectic mix of music.
We had drove to an over look and the sun was just going down. I believe we were getting ready to say good bye for the summer. He had sparkling cider, two glasses and some sweet music playing in the background. We toasted and it was so romantic. He had really thought this out and it was sweet.
We watched the beauty of the valley and the sun lightly kiss the maple leaves on the tree. I was perched up against his body with his arms enveloped around me. I could feel the heat of his body against my back and the warmth of his breath against my neck as he whispered the words, "I love you."
The night was brisk and the sun was just going down and the cd was some boy group slow song. I let out a deep sigh, and cooed "I love this song". He moved and took me into his muscular arms and pressed the small of my back against his body ever so gently and looked dead into my eyes with his forehead against mine and began moving in perfect rhythm to the music. My body instinctively followed his, as if we were one. The song escapes me because frankly all I could hear was the methodic beat of his heart. I had a come to Jesus moment. I believe my knees actually did buckle but his embrace would have never let me fall. He uttered, "I love you", once again. I echoed the words back to him. It was one of the most beautiful moments. I was too afraid to breathe out of fear I might tarnish the moment. In the early months of dating and early years of marriage I had quite a few come to Jesus moments. They still happen to this day and I reckon they will continue until I actually arrive at Jesus' feet.
Thanks for the sweet memories my love, here's to many more....
Share an early memory of your beloved. I would love to know.

Wow, things getting a little steamy over here. lol
It is great to read about first and/or true love. Great post. Glad you and Mr. W are found each other.
Have a great day!
What a sweet romantic story!! MAN my computer screen is all steamy.... you should post pictures of the two of you when you were first dating!! Come on we all want to see!
Now I really am beginning to understand the meaning behind the INCREDIBLE. Wowzer. You got that right. I am going to give my man a kiss this morning after reading this steam fest.
Man-that was a great way to start the day ;) Glad it's Friday Date Night! I think I'll plan a end of the Fall picnic...
I waited for Roland while he served his mission in Vegas. I was in Tulsa OK and not so patient, as he extended from 18 months to two years! :) Luckily, we married four months after he got home!♥
I love hearing how everyone fell in love. And wow, the details you remember! I'm not sure I can remember that far back.
Hey Mother Goose,
I met you on Modern Molly, but I wanted to stop by and get to know you better. This was a very sweet and romantic post.
You have a beautiful family and I love your posts about all of them. I might have to steal that idea.
Keep up the good work. I'll be back.
*hugs*
Awww I love it!
salt n peppa was IT back in the day!
I remember the first time my boyfriend realized i was cold and had me come inside his jacket to give him a hug and then zipped me in with him (I was small, jacket was big)...from then on he's kept me warm and still does 6 kids later!
Aww, I love this. It's good to remember the courtship period and all the tinglies that come with it. I'm glad you still get tinglies.
How sweet!!! Thanks for sharing... nothing like it when oh um, say... 25 yrs later they still do it to us!!! AND, I agree with Pam, post pictures!!!
I love how detail oriented you are, he sounds like he lives up to his name! You're a lucky, lucky lady!!
So romantic!! I love little romantic stories. Thanks for sharing!

What a writer you are...ever thought about writing a romance novel? Loved it...thanks for sharing!
Dang! You should be a writer! That was the best! It was like reading one of those gooy love stories! Love it!
Ohhhh Weeeee, is it hot in here or is it just Mr. I?
So sweet. I love a great love story!
I'm suddenly in the mood for a chick flick and a cuddle from my sweetie.
The last few days I have been thinking about the love feelings and hard twitters of the early years. Steve is much more romantic than I am. The big, tough guy is always doing sweet, romantic things for me. I think I think to hard.
What the heck is that crap? That is some odd spam.
Excuse my lapse...What I had planned to say is:
Wow! That took me back to those exciting days of dating and newfound love!
Goose. Poor Jenn got attacked 2 times. This spam does not taste good at all. Don't Hawaiians love Spam? :) I know they do but not this kind.
TAG, you're it M.G.!! Rules on my blog!
Sorry to just read and leave - I found your blog through Pam's and thought someone you didn't know commenting would seem freaky. You've got a great blog.
Great post! Mr. Incredible sounds like Mr. Super Romantic. You are a lucky, lucky girl.

Here's a big happy birthday to you and your blog, too!!!!
That is so sweet!
I have my own Mr. Incredible. I didn't know that for awhile though. I kept thinking I was going to dump him and then one evening, I finally opened my heart and really 'saw' him for the first time. We were engaged about a month after that.
Thanks for visiting my blog. Of course I will "follow!"
I will be back. Love your post today. Mr. Incredible certainly must feel blessed in return.

Our first date was on New Year's Eve. My hubby had only been on one other date and was pretty shy. He took me ice skating and at the stroke of midnight I giave him a BIG OLE KISS!! He of course crapped his pants but we were engaged Feb. 18th and married Aug. 15th.
Loved your story!! I also LOVE Salt and Peppa, Sir Mix Alot, Rob Base, Zapp and Roger (oh man--I am having MAJOR flashbacks!!).
DANG girl how romantic!!!! What a story!! I loved the details!!
so sweet. (and you're so funny with the rap references. And I have to admit, I was a salt n peppa fan for a while... at least of couple of their songs)
My sweet hubby would walk all the way across campus to pick me up from my class and walk me to my next, sneak in a hug and dash off to his class... so sweet!
