Deliciously Dirty 2

Another tender memory of my sweet beloved. Remember this post, It was my first fantastic Friday post. A memory of our parting as we had to say goodbye for the summer.

It was a Friday night and some of my roommates had gone out of town for President's Day weekend. I remember trying on outfit after outfit and I finally settled on black pants, huge door knocker earrings and a white and black tuxedo style shirt. Think 80's! My hair was HUGE! (remember you are to be thinking 80's) My friends and I all headed down to the Galleria. We frequented enough and never had to pay the fee to go in.

I was avoiding another pursuer and used this human wall of football player body structures to shield me from a very undesirable possibility. I popped into the middle of 4 guys. I didn't even look up. I know they were taken back by my abrupt intrusion into their world. I waited for my undesirable pursuer to pass and I quickly dashed off without saying a word and returned back to my friends.

I began to peruse the perimeter of the dance floor because who stands or sits in a dance club?? Hello!, I had to make sure everyone was aware of my "hotness!"
Yeah, back then I was a bit full of myself. I did say HAD!Someone grabbed my arm as I passed and I snobbishly looked at his fingers gripping my arm.

"Excuse You"with disdain dripping in my voice.

He began to murmur something to the fact that I owed them a dance.

My mind was completely boggled with his deliciously good looks and the words,

"you owe me" toppled by the fact that he was STILL gripping my arm.

My arrogant brain and cynical self was barking

"RELEASE my arm idiot", who do you think you are touching me?"

I searched my endless files in my mind to place him in any of my classes.

"NO, I don't know you", I stammered. (my heart was pounding the lustful side was screaming, "take me now, or lose me forever"..

He persisted,
(oh how I love a persistent man)
"Yes, you do. You can't just use us like that".

"OHHH, I used you as a shield? sorry, bye."
(why do I have to be so flippant?, I tend to like the pursuit.)

"Wait, you owe us a dance." He's a smoothe talker isn't he?

I agreed and said, "Well, Let's dance" in a "game on, attitude.

There was a quick look that washed over his face. He was probably processing the words YES,DANCE, and FAST SONG. In fact, I'm 100% sure that he was. I lead us to the dance floor. Started to work my thing. I love to dance. Dancing was basically my entire life and form of socializing. He was a bit reserved but his fast dance was fine. He didn't appear nervous and his body didn't contort into freakish positions. There were no John Travolta dance moves that popped out or massive pelvic girations. I kept all my toes, and he never poked me in the eye or hit me in the head. I danced the entire song with him and didn't leave him on the dance floor by himself so it was a successful first fast dance. I have been asked to dance and have walked off the dance floor because my partner had been too hideous. If this had happened to you, I have matured and am truly sorry. Forgive me?

The next song was a slow song and a dance that had me yearning for more. I get weak kneed just thinking about slow dancing with him. I knew then that I would have this man's babies! Boy, knows how to move, how to hold, how to hyptnotize with his beautiful hazel brown eyes. Think Jerry McGuire, "You had me at hello". ::sigh:: I get all gushy just reminiscing the moment. He was very easy to talk to and so engaging. He was becoming more and more delicious and very decadent with each minute I spent with him. He had me salivating with desire. I had never felf such emotion like this before. I knew this was different. I knew he was different. Have you ever felt that way before?

We continued to sing my song with each word he uttered. Our conversation was easy, playful and exhilarating. We danced another slow song and I began to zone out into my own little world with this divine man embracing my waist and holding me like I was a precious Illadro. Then I heard, "I'M A RETURN MISSIONARY". (Record screeching, car break stopping dead silence.) I was jolted out of my perfect bubble.

"Ahh, huge mood killer and the neon light that once read OPEN was now flashing CLOSED,moved, quarantined, unattainable, terminal, etc.

RM's want one thing and that is to get married and "Breed em Young". "No siree, that's not happening to me! I just celebrated my 19th birthday! I'm still a baby!

His sexy velvety voice assured me that he was not looking or ready for marriage. He just came off his mission and it was his first semester back in college. He was just having fun. How could I be sure?

I decided to throw caution to the wind. I have always been a bit reckless.
::phew, wiped the beaded sweat from brow:: Cue music to start playing again and smell of burnt rubber from tires screeching cleared the air.

We spent the rest of the weekend spending every possible minute together. We knew that he would leave and return back to BYU come Monday. We went snowmobiling, watched movies went out to eat, a lot.

Mr. Handsome had come by my apartment to say "good bye". He came with a long stem rose and a cute card! I was uncomfortable with the formality of everything. I wasn't his girlfriend. We just had a fun weekend together. I was just a month into my 19th year and definitely not accostumed to this. He said it only had to be good bye because of distance and we shared a long passionate lingering kiss that beckoned for more. He told me he would call when he arrived safely in Provo, but would he.....

Oh you do know how to spin a story! Plus, I totally love that you are sooooo young, just like me! Nothing like some big button earrings, cool bangles, a short skirt and high heels to lure the men to the dance floor! My sis and I spent many a Saturday night on the dance floor at The Devil House!

Love it! And how could I have forgotten those tuxedo shirts? Okay, are you talking about The Galleria in Murray, like right off the freeway? Just asking because I spent some time there too. Wouldn't that be funny if we were there at the same time and didn't even know it?

You were rockin' that 80's hair hard core! I laughed a little at your story because it was awfully familiar. I met my hubby at a dance club and it's always been so embarassing to admit it!

We haven't danced much SINCE that club but that's generally because he's on stage playing the music (drums, keyboards and a little guitar).

LOVE it. all of it.

superman and I also met at a church dance.....only we were 14 and 15. But I still get a little dreamy, thinking about those dances with him.

Love the hair! I so remember those days. Did I tell you I saw a lady - I have to call her a lady because she was our age & not a girl. Well she still had the hair from the
80's & the make up & the tight -tight jeans & high top shoes. I died laughing & tried to figure out how to take a picture for my blog. But I couldn't figure out my phone while laughing...
And it didn't help that I was maybe 5 feet away from her & she kept looking at me...
Love your love story! I so remember the Galleria.
