DOG DAYS

Growing up my grandmother would always say these are DOG DAYS, meaning if the weather was sweltering hot she called them Dog Days.
What do you do on a dog day with a dog that just can not tolerate the heat? English mastiff's can over heat very quickly.
We have a high maintenace dog. It doesn't surprise me since most of our family is high maintenance to begin with. (except me, of course.)
This is what we do. We go for the hose and have a little bit of fun watching this huge dog frolic in the water! Deep breath in and sighs:: Life is good!::

He loves the water so much!
Um... not the ear Open wide, say Aahhh...
A great combination of water and drool! My favorite.
Ok, that's the eye...that is coming out my mouth!
Warrior saying... I love you mom!
See, Life is GOOD!

I love enjoying other peoples' dogs. Sort of a way to vicariously own one because it's as close as we'll ever get. That's one spoiled critter!

Love your dog! My family always had huge dogs (pryanees, anatolian shepherd, etc) and currently have an American Mastiff. Gotta love em! :)
