Put on your EASTER bonnet

Look what the Easter Bunny left!

It is tradition that every Easter we get new duds and we all match. This year was no exception, despite our economical status!

I was able to clothe SIX people for $40. I won't tell which 3 outfits came from the Good Will and I am not going to tell you that 3 of those items had the original price tags still on them. NOPE, I just won't, tell you that. I also won't tell you that I prayed that I would be able to find something for our family to wear. I also won't tell you how I love that Heavenly Father answers some prayers immediately and others in his due time. I am also NOT going to tell you that I was able to do this all in ONE DAY for 4 of us and the for the TWO MEN in the house they just had to go to ONE store and spend ONE hour there on GOOD FRIDAY.
I should confess that we did have to purchase a new suit for Warrior. We knew we would. He has needed a suit since Christmas but every year suits go on sale around Easter so we were hoping his pants could hold on by a thread til April. It was Dash's suit that surprised us the most. Dash was wearing a size 7 suit. He quit wearing his suit and started wearing his school uniform to church. I questioned him and he had said it was too small. He put it on for me and they were high watered pants and the sleeves were really short. I also won't tell you that the new suit that we bought for Dash happens to be a size 10!! Yep, 3 sizes larger! When did he get so big??

The family tolerate me and I tolerate them so we're even!
Here is Easter 2009 pics

And the obligatory sibling picture with the dog!

Since, I have inundated you with pictures of my offspring be sure to come back and read all about this years SILLY STRING FIGHTand Confetti Egg fight! (these are activities not appropriate for Sunday). I will post them later. WE have afternoon church so our Egg hunt was done before church.

I love your awesome savings spree Goose. That is double fantastic.

Your pictures are so great. They say happy family. I love how they still are hunting down those eggs. I should have kept that up for my kids. They wanted to stop though. Bummer.

I think you guys are all lovely! You did an awesome job. About 7 years ago we did a family picture and had all the guys in matching shirts and all the girls in a different matching shirts and all they did the entire time was complain about the shirts. I too gave up. Looking good family!

HAVE TO MATCH!
i don't have all the awesome pictures that you do, but yes it's a must have!

sadly i was just on another blog looking at someone's easter pics. and had to wonder"why would anyone bother buying new outfits, if they aren't going to match?" yeah , i think i might be (gulp) shallow.

A+ on the matching and on a budget too!

You are so lucky to have them all still at home with you. It's so hard when they start leaving the house. I love the photos. I'm proud of you for staying on top of this annual Easter tradition of taking a family photo. You will cherish that forever. I will look so forward to seeing more pictures. I am a picture nut for sure.

Isn't it amazing what kind of deals you can find at Goodwill? I have a friend that shops for big brand names at Goodwill and then sells them on Ebay. She does pretty well.

I love your family pics! My husband doesn't want to take a family picture until he loses weight...that was 10 years ago.

I want to do the same for mine. when we move we plan on going back to church. My son needs a new suit and shoes.
