WHY I BLOG??

"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences. "Gordon B. Hinckley

OHANA means FAMILY

OHANA means family and FAMILY means nobody gets left behind!
I am so blessed to have such a wonderful supportive family.

My mom came in a week before graduation and she stocked our home for at least 6 months full of food and goodies and her and my dad through Warrior a great graduation. We had partied all week at the house with FAMILY!! I loved it! My parents have helped us out so much. WE are so grateful for all they do for our family!

My sister and her family stayed a week after graduation. It was good to have them with us and have her and my neice and nephew all to myself. ::Yeah, I'm selfish like that.:: I liked being with my sister. She is a baker! She got in my kitchen and whipped up lots of things. I wish I could be more like her. Just get in there and not think about the mess that I will have to clean up but think about making belly's happy. She's a baker. I'm a cleaner. I like to clean. Her husband is a cook. We call him chef Dan. He is not a chef by profession but he can make some amazing mouth watering entree's. It's ok, they can cook and bake and I will clean and tend to the kids. If we all moved in together that would be a good trade off to me.

My two nephews also stayed the week after with us. Actually, one nephew! His brother got to go with my children to youth conference to Palmyra! That was an amazing experience! If they went just a week later they could have attended the pageant as a group. The rest of us spent time at Carowinds, a fun amusement park.
Having them here with us was not a problem at all. They just blended so well with our family. I couldn't stop A from spending his money at the ball fields or at the amusement park. I think it was literally burning a hole in his pockets.

My sister in law, G has taken Sweetheart and Dash for a week and a half so that Mr. Incredible and I could work on the road and I could do doubles, etc and not worry about who will tend to them. My older two children had gone to Palmyra for Youth Conference and when they came back they were headed straight for EFY in Utah.
I would have never agreed to my precious gems go if I didn't need to. It's a great blessing to know that the kids are having a great time away from us. It's hard for me to talk to them on the phone because I miss them so much. I don't want them to hear it in my voice.

Warrior and Beauty are back in town and this is their first time to actually sleep in since school got out. I let them sleep til after 10am! Two days after graduation they were out to Youth Conference and then in for less than 8hours and they flew out to SLC! I won't fill their schedules this tightly again.

Two thirds of my family are together for three wonderful days and then we are headed to a Family reunion in GA and after that we are headed to Mexico City Beach, an annual thing for the Solomons'! Frankly, I can not wait! I think we all need a vacay and I don't plan on cleaning until the very last day we are there!!
