August Birthdays

Dash celebrated his 10th birthday! I can't believe he is only TEN! All year I have been yelling at him, you are TEN act like a ten year old. The poor boy never corrected me. such a great MOM! I noticed that his legs were all bit up or had a rash. He never complained so I never did anything about it. Mr. Incredible was out of town for a week. Dash said his legs itched a little. Mr. Incredible put calamine lotion on him. We both didn't know what it was. TWO weeks after the fact we learn he got into POISON OAK! ::accepts omm of the year award::  Now, almost a month later I can't find his birthday pics on my computer. Anyway, he had a great day. We made his favorite ice cream cake and he had friends over to help celebrate with him. This year his birthday was on a Sunday, so it was definitely more subdue. He decided he wanted a bow for his birthday. Mr. Incredible bought him one but they quickly found out that Dash was ready for the nicer bow. So, they returned the first one, got their money back and upgraded a few levels! Mr. Incredible and Dash and Warrior now go to the range and have competitions amongst each other. Dash adores his bow! I swear there is NOT one thing that we have found that DASH isn't good at it. Scratch that. It would be keeping his room clean and chores.  He is such a good boy, active but good!

Sweetheart celebrated her 16th birthday on the 16th of AUGUST! It was also the day before school started for us. No first day of school pics either.I astound myself with my mothering skills! I had ordered a bouquet of balloons and a basket of candy and chips to be delivered to Beauty at school! Let's just say her first day of school was less than spectactular! The best thing about that is, IT CAN ONLY GET BETTER!
We have been in Missouri for almost 6 months and we have hit the ground running.
Beauty was not looking forward to celebrating her 16th here in MO. Sadly, because we had a big birthday planned if we were in Charlotte. Warrior's big party was he turned 17 on the 17th! Over 200 kids were there. Beauty was looking forward to the same.
How did we compensate? We didn't. She still had a good birthday. She was able to fly back to Charlotte and celebrate with her friends. She and I flew out together and had a great time. She went shopping, and shopping and OH did I mention she went shopping?? Beauty also was given a car 2 months before her 16th birthday so that she could practice and would be able to have her license on her birthday.
It was beautiful and it was fun. I sadly, didn't take pictures and the end of July Warrior had a car accident. He ran a red light and a lady clipped him in the back end and sent the car to the side rail on the driver's side. Dash was riding shot gun with him. They were both fine but Beauty's car didn't fair so well. The frame was bent. She had a silver, convertible all leather 2001 saab. Low miles. She was sad when she heard the news but was comforted that her brothers were not hurt. She hasn't complained at all about not having wheels. Mr. Incredible is working on something with the guy we bought her car from. He has another car almost identical to the car that she lost.

We celebrated with her favorite dinner and a few balloons and cake! red velvet, white chocolate and cheese cake! She loved it. I wish I had gone to Michaels and bought the columns that you place the cake up. Instead, I had to use glass bowls and a glass cup! Classy, I know!
