A year ago sweetheart turned 12 and her first Sunday in YW was in our STL ward. This year she is playing in her first basketball game ever! I had a few trepidations about her playing because she has only shot a basketball from our driveway standing still.
I was amazed to see that they were having her handle the ball and dribble the ball down the court most of the time! WHAT?
Beauty has played basketball with the YW before. She absolutely hated it when she played but this year being her third year she was a leader out on the court! She scored the first 2 points of the game! She has definitely come a long way! I'm so glad she is doing her thing and having a good time out there with her twin born 3 years later! The picture quality stinks! I chose not to shoot with a flash because who wants to be responsible for blinding a potential shot? However, I could have helped the image out by upping the ISO! I'm just glad I have a few pics to go with my post.
There is Beauty, Number 8, just pulled down the rebound! Looking to pass, but I think she should take the shot!

Sweetheart surprised us. She was aggressive. She was in the game, she played well. Beauty can do and play anything she sets her mind too. Beauty is graceful and is a runner. She said, she wished that she had done sports earlier. Well, it's never too late to start! You are the perfect age to go after whatever your heart desires. I can't wait for Lacrosse to start! It's going to be so fun!!
