It seems like one of the traditions in our home is if anyone gets sick I always make Chicken Noodle soup. The children love it and it seems to be one of our comfort foods. Mr. Incredible has been sick and he continues to be sick and I think it could be getting worse. I thought if I just ignored it and his constant whimpers that it might just go away. It appears the big guy really is sick. I fear he may have a touch of walking pneumonia. He always gets it. ::insert rolling eyes:: Don't get me wrong I love him truly. But, me and Florence Nightingale just don't go together. This is one of the many reasons Heavenly Father has blessed our family with Beauty. She is a wonderful caretaker, caregiver and one who will sit by your bed stroke your head, rub your back and fetch whatever it is that your heart may desire. If she has to cook it, bake it, or go get it. She will do it. (for this reason alone, I like to PLAY SICK)!shhhh......... Don't tell!!
I had to work on Saturday, all day. A double shift. We had everything to make chicken noodle soup on Friday but I was too tired to make it and said I would make it on Sunday. Mr. Incredible, on Saturday had decided to make chicken noodle soup and he did a great job. He asked me all that it entailed and it was done. I had pre-cooked the chicken, on friday because we had chicken on Wednesday and I did not want raw chicken sitting in my refridgerator for another day. So, I cooked it up.
Warrior, 16. Had gotten hungry and had found the cooked chicken in the fridge and decided to munch on it, not knowing that it was for the soup! He still left enough to stretch but Mr. Incredible said he had to make an extra box of bow tie noodles to make a heartier meal out of the soup. The picture does this soup NO JUSTICE because it is
OFF THE HOOK!!! THE JAM! THE BIG BAMBINO! you get the picture! LOL
