Patriarchal Blessing

My brother Keawe (kay-ahh-vay) just received his Patriarchal Blessing when we were up there. The best part was I got to go in with him and my parents! I felt very blessed to have this opportunity. K is from Ephraim too. His blessing was very special as all blessings are. K fasted before he received his blessing. I panged for him while others rushed home from church and devoured everything in site, he could not eat for 4 hours. He stayed in his room and just concentrated on not being hungry and contemplated. You do not have to fast, it was his choice.

My son, Warrior, recieved his patriarchal blessing when he turned 14. He was ready and wanted it. My Beauty will be 14 next month and she hasn't mentioned it. I wish that I had taken a picture with my Patriarch and I wish that I had thought to take a picture of Warrior with his Patriarch. He is currently serving a couple's mission on Temple Square in SLC! They are two very fun people! I will definitely get a pick of them when they return.

I love those blessings, my 10 year old says she wants hers now, but she will have to wait till she understands a little more. I cannot wait to hear theirs, me and my husband have ours in a frame in our room to read and remember everyday of the choice blessings we have instore for us if we continue on the straight and narrow, after our couple prayer, we read ours so we won't forget throughout the day. My husbands is amazing wich everyones is, but he is truly a special child of god, and when I first read his, I about died, I thought- how could me, being a whole differnt culture than he, be both from Ephraim too..
Pretty sweet if you ask me... :}

I have the best idea. You don't want too much time to pass, so that they all look different for the picture. You should come to SLC now and get that picture. You could stay with us! Am I not brilliant? (listen to that whisper in your ear, go see Teri, go see Teri)

That is really something that he went that long without eating with all that food around. What a neat thing to do though. It really prepared the spirit and he will be that much more blessed. I love his name. Happy you could be there to share in all of that too.
