I made dinner from whatever was left in our freezer and based on how much effort I wanted to put into the meal, which was all but 3 minutes!
It is polish sausage, home made mashed potatoes and cheese.
I boiled the potatoes, peeled them, added butter and pepper and poured in shredded cheese.
Then I layered it with mashed potatoe mixture and polish sausage, mashed potaoes and sausage and cheese on top, stuck it in the oven and to blend the flavors and called it GOOD.
The overwhelming response to my half hazzard dinner was a resounding we will eat it but we won't like it or sing its praises. It basically was garbage. The sausage flavored the potatoes well but..... it tasted and looked like GOOP!
But.... Goop isn't that bad. I think it went goopy when I added the milk to the mashed potatoes it looked a little bit like wallpaper paste. YEAH, if you had any doubt that about summarized it.
Warrior had spent the night at his friends house who was leaving for college early this morning. He came home and ate the huge amounts of left over dinner. HE PRAISED IT, HE LOVED IT, He was all over it!!
Darn, I'm going to miss him! He always eats my dinner catastrophes! LOL, I also realized with him not home for dinner I need to cook half of what I normally do. I hope he gets enough to eat out there!

Awww!!! What a sweetie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is so funny!! My brothers would do the same thing for my mom!! What a self esteem booster!!
Okay, I am still going to make that dish because it's sounds easy & yummy, I just won't add the milk. I made chicken adobo (filipino dish) the other day & it gave them the runs! Maybe I used too much soy sauce or vinegar or maybe the chicken was bad??? I was fine, but then again my stomach can digest rocks and I'm still good.
this is funny! I can tell instantly when something wasn't made great when we eat out because it goes right through my system immediately. IF the mashed potatoes weren't gooey it would have been decent. But, the meal definitely needed some type of green vegetable. It was crying for it, actually. And if I had frozen peas and carrots I would have thrown that into the mixture too.
They said, MOM, today is not THURSDAY! See, thursday is usually when I make a last attempt to rid the fridge of leftovers and call it leftover surprise. Normally, they like the concoctions I come up with. LOL, like I said, they ate it but they weren't asking for seconds!
I wish my kids liked my food! I have 1 grumpy kid that doesn't like anything!!!!
That's funny that he loved it! It looked good.
Sounds yummy!
