Dash is 15

My little baby is 15! I can't believe how much has happened in his 15 years! His absolute favorite is cheesecake and reeses and oreos! Usually, I will make him an oreo ice cream cake but he requested a cheesecake! AMAZING, its the my go to recipe! I am sure it is on the recipe blog! His gift this year was he wanted to switch game stations and go from the XBOX to the PS4, which means all new games! UGH!! The PS4 is also pretty pricey, so this was his high ticket present!

I sure love this boy of mine! He is not a boy of many words but he is kind and he observes. He silently does what is right and treats people well.  He does things without any announcement. He just quietly serves.  He is still a perfectionist and worries so much about what others think of him or perceives him. He is an immaculate dresser and a shoe-a-holic! If there is ever money to be invested. I am giving it to Dash! He is my entrepreneur! He will always have what he needs.  This kid wheels and deals like nobody's business.  I used to worry about my kids trading their things. Because in the past they always came out with the short end of the stick.  He trades what makes him happy and the other happy.  He comes home with clothes and shoes and trades his things out as well.  He is worse than a girl, in situations like this.  Sweetheart will say he starts off with his clothes and in the bathroom he will come out not wearing one piece of clothing that is his from his socks to his shoes!

Dash is in the 9th grade!!

It is nothing short of a miracle when this boy asked me to take a few pics of him!! I about fell over and literally thought that the skies of heaven opened up!! My eyes looked upward and I may have even offered a silent prayer of thanks then I quickly grabbed him and his sister and we headed to Jackson Stonewall and took advantage of the grounds. I can't believe how fast you are growing and thank you for giving me some pics! After about 20 minutes he was done but I pushed him for an extra 10! Life is good. I'm enjoying every minute my youngest gives me!

Dash August 2015 15th birthday

Dash turns 15!! I can't believe my baby is 15 and will be getting his drivers permit! It's crazy, exciting and sad! I made him a New York style cheese cake! He loves cheese cake and tres leches cake but he generally loves anything sweet!! He is my junk food addict! His birthday gift was a bit hefty. He chose an playstation4
Dash and I collide a few times. I guess it would be understandable seeing that he is so like me and so no like me! He carries many of my good qualities but also a few of my others. He is tenacious! He is brilliant and truly there isn't anything that he can't do or pick up! Sports he's got it. Co-ordination comes to him naturally.  Intelligence, when he decides its what he wants to do, he does it well.  Grades come easy to him so he doesn't try.  It's almost maddening to see him put a project or prepare for a test and he get a 90 or higher! I think he settles for passing when he could push for more. But, why?? really.  He is such a perfectionist in some things and messy in others and this is ME! He is very detailed oriented.  He cares. Things frustrate him completely. He vents and yells and screams at us at home yet he is kind and compassionate and bites his tongue to others. He makes me laugh and smile every day thinking about the little things and quirks that he has! I felt like I was yelling at him often this past year and so we had a sit down on how I could be better and how he needed me to talk to him and I let him know what I needed him to do or NOT do before I went to my boiling point and I didn't want to push him to his boiling point! I have noticed a big change in our relationship and I'm grateful for it. I have a long way to go still but change for the better is good. WE both explode every so often.  He is a good son, he loves deeply. He cares and he helps out around the house and he truly listens! He probably is my most sensitive intuitive child and he doesn't like to let that side out but when he does, he just slays me! Happy Birthday Dash! You are my life and I am so proud of everything you do and I know you can do ANYTHING you want to!

My DASH! 15 yrs old -2015

I am blogging current time. I am still not caught up with the past three or so years of blogging the pictures from my phone or on my hard drive but slow and steady wins the race!
Dash has NEVER allowed a photo session! They have ALWAYS been obligatory pictures with the family and one maybe two individuals for record! But, over the past 6 months he had mentioned that I NEVER take pictures of him and I replied, "YOU NEVER want to take any pictures" and YESTERDAY was the DAY!!
It should be marked in the books up above! We've come a long way!

He felt uncomfortable and uneasy! He kept asking what do I do with my hands??

WHERE DO I PUT THEM! and let's be honest if a guy doesn't have his hands in his pockets or crossed or hanging, WHAT DO THEY DO WITH THEM??

I think he did so well and it wasn't too painful!

There may have been a few drops of blood and one tear shed.
(We scared him and shoved him into this brick dungeon so he scraped his arms)

and the shedding of tears may have come because he was sooo over taking pictures but I pressed him more!

THEN THIS HAPPENED and he made me want to cry! I asked my sweet little boy to give me a "come here" or sexy look"! WHAT WAS I THINKING??? He's 15!! so of course, I GOT THIS INSTEAD??

                                    BLESS HIS  HEART FOR TRYING

He is an amazing young man! He surprises me everyday and I am always upset that I am surprised! I should know these things and mannerisms of him because he has always been this boy! They were just hidden by other qualities that spoke louder! Dash has always been a fighter! He was born premature and he has had to fight for every breath he needed. He had to fight against different odds medically and being the youngest of 4 with two girls before him; he had to fight to be him and not bossed by two little mothers!

He looks out for others. He is kind and he understands and knows the gospel. He will make comments that allow me to know he GETS IT and he is so much wiser beyond his years. He lives up to his the meaning of his Hawaiian name which means Spirit of Wisdom! and of course our last name being Solomon. He is wise and I pray he will always use his wisdom and intelligence wisely and for good.

With great power comes great responsibility! Remember the downfalls of King Solomon. He allowed his love for material things and women take precedence over his love for God! Keep your eye single to the Glory of God! I love you so much and you are an amazing son, who I am so proud of!  Love, MOM
