CAMPING Pisguh Mountains

WE camp here when we go to the Pisguh Mountains it is near Brevard and it is the only place I will camp! The bathrooms are spotless and the camp and RV spots are amazing. This family loves their land and their business and it is one of your best experiences that you will have camping. I highly recommend this. There are pancake breakfasts that you can pay for on the balcony, a quaint store and laundry facilities on premises.  A pool, volleyball net, badminton, they will rent out games and balls for a small fee and there is an outside amphitheater where popcorn is air popped!
It is a perfect place to go and reconnect with nature, God, yourself and your family! There are so many beautiful waterfalls and places to tube and hike to! The scenery is breath taking.

Our dogs did quite well, they hiked with us and even went swimming! They are pampered pooches and I would say the gravel ground was too hard for these paw princesses!

Baby Back ribs straight off the Barbie! and grilled corn! Yummmm! Mr. Incredible making our breakfast sandwiches on our griddle! Each camp site has an outlet and a water hose! We also had chili and rice, made with our rice cooker! I said I like camping! I didn't say I liked roughing it!

Hammocks were strung and there was lots of lounging and reading and relaxing! Our first night there we had a rain storm! WE all huddled under our tarp and we played a fun game called Heads Up using our phone! It's basically charades or taboo, where you get a word and you have to act it out or make the sound of. HOURS of howling laughter and entertainment!
WE later fixed out tarp so we could walk under all areas of it but it served it's purpose the night before when we needed the rain to run off! Dash brought a friend, Chris M. It was his first time EVER to camp! Say what?? Despite, it raining them being soaked and maybe a little tired he said he had a lot of fun doing it and he would definitely camp again! What makes camping fun is being prepared! We didn't set our rain fly up correctly on our tent and didn't realize it until it was time for bed. OOPS, not so fun but the next night everything was perfect!

CAMPING in the Mountains of NC

I asked that we go camping! I loved it when we went when the children were younger and we went back to the same place and it was just as nice and beautiful as we remember! It is our camping ground! On the porch of this Inn they serve pancake breakfast each morning for $6 (WE cook our own amazing breakfast) but it's great to have for those who aren't as savvy! Just inside the doors is check in desk and a small store and also where you can rent balls, tennis raquets, rafts, and games. On the premises is a nice outdoor pool and a laundry room as well as an outdoor covered theater! All of the campsites have wifi and the bathrooms are absolutely spotless!!! You can eat off the floors! Running water and an electricity outlet at each site. (which makes it nice for a crockpot, rice cooker or a griddle so bring an extension cord)

We brought the dogs and they did extremely well! The parks are all dog friendly and hike friendly to your fur babies! Did they so well and the only time I regretted having them tag along was when we went to sliding rock because the dogs couldn't go down the rock, obviously but the other falls and water areas they were allowed to go!

We eat like kings when we camp! We had baby back ribs, corn on the cob and watermelon! YUM

We later made this tarp go higher so we could walk under it but it proved as a nice shelter when it rained that night!

We had 3 hammocks set up. The boys slept in the hammock the second night. It didn't rain and it was great.  This camp ground location sits at an elevation just high enough that mosquitos can't breed. Thee is also no standing water around.  So, that makes it nice! We did notice a lot of daddy long leg spiders and the flies were very minimal.  They also have a golf cart that comes around twice a day to gather your trash! Super nice so you don't have to worry about critters in your area!

The Mr. cooking our breakfast! McDonald breakfast sandwiches. WE had sausage, bacon and fried eggs on bagels and they were better than Mc'D's

Loading the dogs up for our hiking adventure

We had ice cream at our traditional spot of Dolly's!

the first night it rained and we were under the tarp and we played heads up! super fun game! You have to describe or act out the word on your phone to the person holding the phone. If you get it right, you tip your head up for the next word to appear in a certain time span and if it is wrong or you can't guess it you tip down to pass! how many you can get in 30 seconds.   Gary the snail was found and then he was cooked in the fire.

We had oreos with marshmallows in it, chocolate chip cookies with melted marshmallows and Strawberries stuffed with fluff and nutella roasted over the fire! SUPER DELISH!!! What a beautiful life I have and great memories I have!
