Youth Temple Trip South Carolina Temple

Youth temple trips are always pretty special and amazing! We also get to know the youth a little bit better on these trips! Our temple is a little less than 2 hours away. Not great but not bad either! I definitely miss being 20 minutes away from the temple like we were in St. Louis and I'm grateful that we do not have to travel 2.5 hours to the Boston Temple when we lived in NY! So count your blessings each time you  have them but always so grateful that there is a temple nearby where ever we live!

In our other wards we had always been so careful and cautious not to add undue stress or cost to families pertaining to money for food after. But, I was told we did not have to worry about families in this ward. I think extra money out of pocket should always be a concern.

After the temple we just went our separate ways. I like the youth to gather briefly and share if they had any special experiences, especially if they happen to be fresh in their minds! The youth seem to transform when they are all in white. I truly love to see them in the temple!

I love serving and doing ordinances. It is such a blessing and wonderful service to do.

TENNESSEE MARCH 2013

Our family went to Tennessee for a temple sealing! We had so much fun being with family and gathering for such an amazing day!

These two little children have stolen our hearts and we know they are with their perfect family!

Temple Sealing and Adoptions! March 2013

I have decided that it is important that I just get memories documented and I know it goes against my highly organized OCD personality but I truly believe that we will be accounted for how well we kept a journal of the experiences in this life and the blessings! So, I am basically going through my phone pictures and my computer pictures and writing about all those things I can remember! Which perhaps may be the sweetest and I can sift through the unimportant petty things and truly document what is necessary and needful!

My brother and sister in law have had adoption come across their hearts and through a few failed adoption processes they have come full circle and found these amazing children! 

I thought about adoption but it was never forefront in my mind. It was always if it is meant to be, they will literally drop in my lap and I wouldn't have to do anything but would just no. After meeting A and T for the first time we left TN so bright eyed and in adoption land! I scoured the internet and had known that my brother and sister in law truly blessed the lives of these children and that they too would bless and change them. I think I had adoption rose colored glasses on. 

When I was 30 and was told that Dash would be our last biological baby I was heartbroken but had known that the Lord blessed us so abundantly with FOUR beautiful children, already. He had known that I could not and would struggle making the decision for myself to not have any more and I would probably die trying. My answer was clear concise and bitter sweet! After he was born there was no doubt about it that he would be the last and I very quickly wrapped my head around that. I knew I was sick and laying in the ICU at one point, I resolved that if I had fulfilled my mission as my patriarchal blessing said, than I had done enough and would move on to the next step. I am so grateful that the Lord chose to continue to bless me with so many life experiences. So, I closed my mind to entertaining having any more children and moving on to the next season of my life. 

Watching their new family was so sweet. I was moved more to the thought of blessing children's lives. I make no qualms or pretenses that I think we are perfect and handle everything correctly to take on the responsibility of rearing another person's children BUT I do know that we can love unconditionally and we can discipline in love and teach children to love and know God. I knew we were out of the diaper stage and then it came to the children deciding on ages etc. WE went into depths but when it came down to it, our answer was no and it continues to be so! 

But, for this lucky family their answer was yes! and life has been so rich for them! I was so glad we were able to attend their temple sealing and enjoy the weekend with them! 

YOUTH Temple Trip- Columbia SC Temple

Bill and I both chaperoned another youth temple trip! what a great an amazing experience to be at the temple but to be at the temple with the youth! I loved it. We have to travel about two hours so the moments are different. We stopped to eat after the temple. I would like to see it more connective between each other. Maybe, we could gather outside the temple briefly for a brief testimony meeting for anyone who may have had a special experience and wanted to share or just gather for a small moment of breath before we rush back in the car and on our way home again.  I think it would be nice.

St. Louis Temple

Last week Mr. Incredible and I went to the St. Louis Temple. It was ward night! Our ward had a big turn out and after everyone goes to someone's house for dessert! YUMMY! I can't wait until it is our turn to host the dessert party!

We arrived early and we had our temple clothes in hand. I got to the pearly gates and ::SCREECH STOP THE SHOW:: My recommend had expired! WHAT? How could this be? It didn't just expire a few days ago. It expired TWO months ago! But, Mr. Incredible's recommend was still good. I think I go my recommend after him. I just went on a temple trip with our previous ward! But that was in November and Mr. Incredible and I went in December!


I mean, we did find out in January we were employed and I did have less than 3 wks to pack an entire house and make the move from the East coast to the Mid west, I could see how I let this slip my mind. But, I was so deflated. Our Bishop quickly interviewed me. "Phew, half way done". My new Stake President is in doing a session. We will catch him on the next go around. Only problem is we do not know what he looks like and Elder Snow is visiting because we have stake conference! GREAT!



Needless to say, it was too late but I got some wonderful pictures of the temple and had some yummy desserts after. Sunday was stake conference and immediately after I marched myself up to the pulpit and attacked a member of the presidency and demanded that I get interviewed! He told me, "meet me in my office in 30 minutes"! THIRTY MINUTES! Not a problem. I am official! I'm back holding a valid recommend and it feels so good!



Well, I enjoyed taking pictures of the temple and walking the sacred grounds with me and my thoughts. Mr. Incredible wouldn't go inside without me! HELLO!! Don't let me hold you back. I would have gone in, if the roles were reversed. But, I did appreciate his company. Hope you enjoy them as well. NO fancy techniques or actions done on these. Just straight out of the camera and sharpened for web.

Temple Blessings

A comment was left that calmed my soul and healed my heart and brought peace of mind. It was advice given to her by her mother and what a wise woman she is. I am so glad she shared it with me. I always knew I had a great family but I had no idea just how GREAT and Heavenly Father through his loving hand is softly guiding us.

Mr. Incredible and I recently went to the temple and it was like manna to my soul. It was such a beautiful day and our hearts were softened and our minds were burdened.



Each temple has its own blessings. I like to read the dedication prayer for the temple I am entering. I thought that the Columbia temple had a particular blessing about being burdened and its patrons would leave feeling uplifted etc, but it must have been another temple because I could not find it written. But, we did leave with an overwhelming feeling of peace and a serenity that can not be described.

WE had a goal that we would attend the temple once a month. This was when Warrior was 12 and he could babysit. Then as we attained that goal we thought maybe twice a month would be good. Let's just say we are back to the once a month goal. ::sigh::

Working for the airlines has specific perks that I have decided to take advantage of. It helps that our children are older but more importantly they are mature. I would like to attend 12 different temples a year, more if we could make it happen. It would be easier if we lived in Utah. But, I think this will be fun and a great way to accomplish a goal and do the work.

We took pictures on self mode. I looked a bit ridiculous running back and forth. I have since made a note to bring a tripod, so we could have better pics!



Attending the temple puts everything in such clear perspective. Heavenly Father continues to answer so many of our prayers. He answers them immediately, He has not left us alone! Almost daily we have a testament of how he has answered a plea. Although, our biggest prayer has not been answered yet, I know He will. We are answering the prayers to others. There are certain things that we would have never done had we not been in this situation at this particular time where we are blessing other people.

This is my last public post. We have grown quite accostomed to our show names and I will continue using them. I bid thee farewell. I'm going to try a new pair of panties on. Who knows, going private may give me a wedgie but sometimes I like that feeling. LOL ~peace out~
