Our Valentine's day gift

This is what I got for Valentine's. I also received a new watch but my watch is perfectly fine. All I need is a new battery so I told Mr. Incredible to take the watch back to the jewelers and get me a battery. He was a little disappointed but really I am fine with the watch that I have. He picked out a beautiful watch and what was most impressive was he had my wrist size down perfectly! I thought that was so sweet. Mr. Incredible is a smoothie addict. WE have Smoothie King near our home and he loves that place. WE probably could have bought the franchise. Our family also loves milkshakes but our blender just does not have enough power to make a THICK milkshake. WE have been wanting a vita mixer for ever! I want a juicer. I want one just like my sil's. Mr. Incredible bought this mixer/blender/juicer/chopper. It is not a vita mixer but it is said to have just as much power and do what the vita mixer does. WE shall see. WE have been juicing and smoothie making for the past 3 hours. I think I am juiced out. As an unexpected gift Mr. Incredible had to run out to Home Depot and purchase a new kitchen sink faucet. Ours bit the dust again. The original one that came with the house, I through a fit and slammed it shut and it broke. The second one all I did was turn it on and it snapped. I think someone broke it and then fixed it just enough so that the next person would catch the blame. I think that person was Mr. Incredible. Anyway, I have a new faucet. I asked him to pick up a brushless steel instead of white. I like the contrast.

Valentines Day Dinner

Usually, I go all out and I decorate the table out, but I don't know what happened to me this year. I love to make my family feel special and like they are the most important people in the world. In my mind I do. LOL, but sometimes it just doesn't play out as nicely in real life as it does in my fantasies. I never fantasize that my children argue and the spirit is ruined or that one of them spills a smoothie all over the pristine walls and floors that I spent most of the day scrubbing. I never fantasize that I am running short of time and have a gazillion things planned out for the night.

I made Fetuccini alfredo. I wanted to make homemade noodles but went with some fancy stuff with multi colors. I thought the kids would enjoy that. Well, the colors did not come out vibrant and the taste was less than mediocre.

Homemade Alfredo sauce huge hit. I will post the recipe to the recipe blog. I can't believe I have been buying alfredo sauce! I should have been making it. It is just as easy as opening a jar of sauce.

We had a brownie and vanilla ice cream and strawberry glaze for dessert and fresh strawberries. Hmmm... mm... good! Strawberry daquiries were made in my new mixer! I love it!! It does everything. It is exactly like the vitamixer only cheaper. WE are going to try it out and see if it performs up to expectations. If it has the power it claims to have I will clear a spot in my cabinet to house it. Now head on over to the recipe blog for the recipes.

THANKFUL THURSDAY

I took it from Alison's blog. Since, it is Valentine's day. I am thankful for the opportunity to love and to be loved. God has blessed my life in so many ways. Five to be specific. God loves me. He loves me most!( I know you are saying, uh, uhhh) But, yep. He loves me most. I think everyone should believe that God loves them most. If we did, the world would be a better place. I have 5 very special people to prove it. (it doesn't matter if you have more people or less people, I have the best of the best)Heaven is where your heart is and mine is with them. We are perfect for each other. Each one of them hug and kiss me each morning before they leave for school or work. Each one of them are excited every day they come home just to see me. Each of them hurt when I hurt. Each time any of them leave my presence my heart breaks a bit and worry lingers until we are ALL together again. Because of these 5 spirits my heart has been torn, trampled on and broken and because of these things I know TRUE love. I know patience, tolerance, forgiveness and sacrifice. Is there no other love? If love were always simple and happy; it would not be worth dying for; it would not be worth fighting for it would not be worth living for. God loved the world that he gave His Only Begotten Son and Christ loved us that he gave his life for us. I am thankful for a loving father in heaven. I am thankful for my savior Jesus Christ. I am thankful for my family who loves me unconditionally, despite all my flaws and imperfections.
This thankful post was a little deep. But, it is my first one and it is the things that mean the dearest to me. BTW, God loves you most when you are going through your hardest trials, when you feel like there is no where to turn and no one to help. That is when you know he is loving you the most. There is a huge gift and blessing waiting for you, make sure you look for it along the way.

Valentines Day Parties

I learned how to use a template that was given for free. I love templates. Sweetheart and Dash loved using these for their valentines day cards. Warrior was jealous and he wanted them too. I thought he was too old for that sort of thing. Apparently not. Because I am a procrastinator and didn't think about it. We were going to attach twix bars to the photo but Sweetheart and Dash wanted to pass them out seperately. They are having class parties today. I know they will have so much fun.

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day! I love valentines day. Love is in the air. I get the warm fuzzies just like I do at Christmas time. I found some awesome sales after Christmas and I found some great sales yesterday. I swear I am the biggest bargain shopper. I get such a high for scoring on high ticket items for cheapo! My best score was a pair of $40 jeans marked down to $5. Just because it was on the manequin on display. Warrior likes T-shirts with sayings on them, The t's were on sale for $4 each. Old Navy is having a great sale too, but I didn't buy.
I love after Christmas sales and perfume is marked down drastically. I picked up love's baby soft for $5. The girls are not into the high end perfumes, yet. I also picked them both up toe socks and fuzzy socks. Since, they are a uniform school. Socks is about as wild as they can get. I LOVE the fact that they are a uniform school. The clothes budget has been drastically cut by more than 1/2!! Love Love it!They recieved jewelery and Beauty got a straightening iron and an outfit.
Sweetheart, recieved basically the same thing. Socks, perfume but she absolutely loves stuffed animals. Toys R Us had these same cuties for $20 and $25 (same exact ones). She has been wanting them for over a year. I couldn't see spending that on those little guys. SCORE! I GOT THEM for $1 and $1.99! Dash he received 2 toys which were found at Goodwill. Target sends perfectly good things there if the boxes are slightly damaged and a gift card to Bruesters. It is an icecream parlor.

Mr. Incredible and I are going out to eat with a few couples from church, tomorrow night. This will be so much fun. I think we both may get an appliance or two for V'tines day. I am an appliance snot when it comes to receiving these for Christmas BUT for any other holiday BRING IT ON!
