Juice Machine

For Christmas I received a juicer from my parents. I asked for a juicer because last year my sil, juiced me some green lemonade and I really liked it.
I was suppose to get a juicer for Valentine's Day but instead Mr. Incredible thought we would like a BLENDER instead. I was a bit disappointed but he and the children have made countless smoothies, shakes and specialty drinks that I am so thankful that he chose that gift. It has definitely been worth it's money.

I have been juicing one to two meals a day and I feel great. I feel healthier and out of the 12 pounds that I gained over the holiday after a week of juicing. I lost 8pounds! GO ME!! I haven't done anything but juice in the morning and juice at night. I still eat regular meals but I feel full after a glass of pure juice.
I worked and I couldn't juice and I definitely noticed a difference. My children are not quite down with the all vegetable juice drinks but they are definitely the first in line for all of the fruity juices!

I was juicing and it tasted great! There were a few down falls to juicing. It was very messy. Juice was splattered all over my pristine counters. The beautiful snow white container had become tainted and stained orange. The pulp was not as dry as I had expected and there were larger chunks of fruit and vegetables left over in the container. It produced great juice! I liked it I just didn't LOVE it!

We were out shopping and I found another juicer. I thought I would take it home and do the compare test. I loved this new juicer.

I LOVE MY JUICER I DO!! It has been one of my most favorite gifts ever. I love it so much that I am contemplating purchasing another for when this juicer dies.

I like the color, I like the pitcher with a spout that fits firmly to the juicer and it does not allow for any messes. I like that the pitcher also removes the foam from the top of the juice. I like that the container does not stain. I like that the pulp is a bit drier and that it emulsifies the fruit or vegetables. There are no large chunks left over. It is only slightly louder than the other juicer.

So, I boxed the Jack Lalanne up and got my full refund in cash and have been absolutely happy!

Green Lemonade?

Gretchen asks me one afternoon, "So, you want some green lemonade?"
There was something in her tone that made me say, "No, Thank you." See, Gretchen is notorious for trying new things and wanting to share them with people. I remember this time where she was into this new brand of vitamin something and she gave me this stuff called Stevia. It tasted like dirt and made everything that you ate after taste like dirt too. The first time she asked me if I wanted to try Stevia, it was in that same tone of " Do you want some green lemonade?"

I had instant horror flashback memories and my tongue twisted and my lips puckered and my brain kept saying, "NO NO NO!"
But against my better judgement, I said, "Sure".

She has a juicer. You dump all these vegetables and fruits in and you don't have to peel them or cut them. You just shove it down the incinerator. Literally, it acts like a garbage disposal. Except the green muck that it spewed out was not GARBAGE!! I was delightfully surprised! It was wonderful! It was addictive! I wanted more! I felt great! Me likey! She put in some whole carrots in the juicer. Carotts plain and the carrot juice that came out was sooo sweet! I thought it would taste nasty. Raw carrotts are good but they have a flavor. The orange juice that was produced from these carrots was so sweet. I could have this every morning. I am now looking to purchase my first juicer! I can not wait! I want some green lemonade NOW!!!
