Goodness from April 2015

What a fun filled Bunny Month we have had! Mr. Incredible are enjoying this stage of our lives. We are able to go out with one another and sneak moments of the day away with each other! We often will go for lunch or out to dinner just the two of us! We do much of our shopping with each other! It has been a great blessing having him work from home and I am enjoying it. In the beginning, he may have stepped on my toes, territory etc. Only because I have always been the one at home, the main care taker, the chauffeur, chef etc and he has done that for quite a while.  Balance shifted when unemployment came. I think he looked for places where he could help out more.  Now that he has a career that allows him the luxury to work from home he does practically EVERYTHING! I used to complain now I just am grateful and sit back and enjoy the comforts! He truly is an amazing man! He cooks, cleans, tends to kids, brings home the bacon, chauffeurs, coaches, YM president, smart, and leads his family in the gospel! I do feel for my daughters as they look for a spouse who will fill their daddy's shoes! They should look for someone who will love, adore and care for them and qualities as their dad! I am sure their are righteous moms and dads rearing amazing young men!

I thought I was over having to color eggs and get that mess out!! NO we still carried on all traditions! I did this to myself! Woman of thousands of holiday traditions and creating memories!

Our baby girl Nala always has the neighborhood children coming over asking for her to come out and play! She adores children when she is feeling well.  Nala can no longer tolerate going to puppy classes because all of the larger breed dogs hit her back legs during play time or jump on her and she gets grouchy.  They didn't NOT ask us to come back but I got the message! Nala, is an amazing dog. She comes with her challenges only because of her back hips and her inverted lady parts. It lends her to having her leg constantly come out of socket, which is always painful until we can pop it back in place and it lends for constantly needing to be let out for the bathroom, as well, as urinary tract infections! She potty trained in 2 days! She is a quick learner and goes immediately to the door to be let out! She also has a cherry eye and that is common in her breed. My favorite thing about her is her beautiful silver blue gray coat! She is simply gorgeous.

This boy ran track and did amazing! It is always fun to watch him in anything he decides to do.  Anyways he broke a school record and conference record in their relay.

We also got to celebrate this big boys birthday!!! Another year older! He is kind and gentle and a hard worker! He is a married young man going to college and working and doing what it takes to get by! Warrior has such an amazing heart and is a pleaser!

If anyone knows this stance of Mr. Incredible, you know it means you might want to leave or you are about to hear a list of factual information that will lead you to giving this man everything he asks for and more! He knows customer service and he knows how he should be treated and what is the solution to making a happy customer. He rarely loses his temper. Key to successfully getting compensated for inconvenience or things that you have no control over is to remain calm
state the fact, over and over if needs be, be clear on compensation, state the problem, basically remind them it is no fault of your own. I do not know anyone who can walk away satisfied 95% of the time, other than this man! I truly wish I had this talent and gift. I just basically bend over and then apologize to them for them treating me so badly and they deliver it with a smile.  I mean, I do know when I am getting taken. I will make one vague comment and EXPECT them to do what is right, but we all KNOW there are few people who step up to making something right, so you need people like Mr. Incredible who will force the issue, stand up for themselves, and stay firm.  I love that about him. I wish wish wish I could cultivate that talent in myself.

Lastly, this little girl loves to get on this furniture and it drives me insane because I will see her little gray hairs on the cushions! But, who can stay upset at this cute girl! The look on her face in the last picture is like really! She is listening to me only because I am right in front of her.  She is basically saying, "Are you finished now?" I know the same look.  I get this when I speak to my children too!

Dash is in the 9th grade!!

It is nothing short of a miracle when this boy asked me to take a few pics of him!! I about fell over and literally thought that the skies of heaven opened up!! My eyes looked upward and I may have even offered a silent prayer of thanks then I quickly grabbed him and his sister and we headed to Jackson Stonewall and took advantage of the grounds. I can't believe how fast you are growing and thank you for giving me some pics! After about 20 minutes he was done but I pushed him for an extra 10! Life is good. I'm enjoying every minute my youngest gives me!

Na'ala from the Hood (Nurturing Nala) April 2015

When your dog has more friends than you, it's time to re-evaluate!
Introducing Nala from the block!

These sweet little gems come over and ask to play with Nala! They just found out that Nala has a hip issue and the vet doesn't see her lasting longer than her first year without being in a lot of pain.  She is home on a few antibiotics and also on a medicine with pain killers in it and we can give her, pain pills as needed.  Hopefully, everything will work out for the better and the at home therapy exercises will help strengthen her back legs and work the hump out of her back! We will address her hip issues as time goes on.
She loves playing with her hood friends and they give her so much love! The little girl in blue brought over a toy for her to play with and she bought it with her own money! She is the sweetest little girl! Thank you Iliana!

8th Grade Basketball at Hickory Ridge Middle

Dash had a pretty good year! The coach, coaches everything at the Middle School, he is the football coach, basketball coach and baseball coach! Dash is clearly an athlete and capable. I'm not being prideful it is simply a fact! So, overall I did not have an issue or a problem with him.
Timerson is nice guy but nice doesn't win games and nice doesn't allow players to improve. I do not care if our team wins or loses but what I do care about is are the players becoming better. Are you coaching them so they improve their understanding of the game and skills. I can answer and say that is a BIG NO! You can't coach by popularity. He accepted football players on the team, making cuts because he needed those boys to be able to play basketball for him. He made cuts from the basketball team, taking players who would clearly sit the bench because he needed players to play baseball for him. Hence all of the boys teams are awful.  It would help if you understood the concept of football. Frankly, I think he and I would coach football the same. We would see the problem, see the weak link, but not know how to fix it.  Except, I would be willing to take advice on how to make it better or try new changes and listening to him talk and talk and go on, makes me want to bang my head against a concrete wall!! I kid you not! He comes up to our car after every game looking for acceptance and a pep talk like he's a pre-adolescent himself!! So, you stroke his ego and then say what you see, and he has a reason or another story about his all star winning team over two years ago! GLORY DAYS!! wow! and you are popular among 12-14 year olds! #lifegoals
Of course, these are my personal opinions and the opinions of many of the parents on the team but I the bright spot is this is the last year! YES!!!

Friends from MO!

It was so good to see our friends from MO! JillyBean was down on a part work trip to help someone and she lives in Concord, one highway parallel to mine.

Kane has grown so much! He looks so good and is such a stellar young man! Love him, tons

I have twinners, or maybe even triplets in this photo! The kids decided they were going to go out and do something, anything but stay home with their parental units

Thanksgiving 2014

This is our first Thanksgiving in the 'burg and it went over quite well! This is before we welcomed our Neapolitan Mastiff and before I scored a piano for free from a local church! I wanted to point out the great pumpkin I made hanging on the door and the two personalized pumpkins I ordered from a friend!

I forced the family to take a pic with these props! I didn't go through all the trouble finding them and making them for nothing so anyone who entered through our doors on Thanksgiving were forced to choose a prop! They will also come out next year! Perhaps with a different background though.

My Props

Our college girl, Beauty is spending her Thanksgiving in Hawaii and I'm sad because she can't be with us. It hits me particularly hard when we gather as a family and one of my children are missing! But, seriously, IS THIS not the cutest little turkey package you have seen??
Inside the legs are some candy and a pair of leggings! (ha)
in the body of the turkey is a sweater and a few other things. I wanted to be sure she had a turkey outfit. It seems like tradition that the girls get a new outfit for Thanksgiving.  I am also going to miss her on Black Friday.

Where are my Thanksgiving food pics!

We had my daughter in law and her amazing family join us for Thanksgiving! Her parents are some of the nicest most giving people around. They have an equal love for Warrior as we do.

The newlyweds of 5 months!

Our Amazing Family! I feel like I should have put a pilgrim hat on Joe!
