Christmas Youth Joint activity

Our Christmas activity was planned by Nicole Gubler! It was a lot of fun and the youth made temples out of gingerbread houses and had to have them resemble the LDS temples. We also had a white elephant swap which I quickly learned that full bags of candy were top priority!!

Thanksgiving 2014

This is Beauty's care package that will be sent out for Thanksgiving. It has a sweater in the body, leggings in one leg, socks, and scarf and then some candy! Super cute turkey care package! After moving into our home we are hosting our first Thanksgiving dinner here! I wanted to go away and go to the Beach! but, we stayed home and I was glad we did, in the end! I wanted to make some photo props for Thanksgiving and I made sure everyone who came used them!

WE had Princess Warrior and her family for Thanksgiving. They do  not have a traditional Thanksgiving they do a dinner after with many traditional Mexican foods.
This is our Thanksgiving 2014 family photo! Little did we know in a few days a Neapolitan mastiff would become a new member! Little did I know that joy and peace would soon end.

Jill Smith and Kane came to visit as well! She had some work to do with a good friend and she stayed with her and the CRAZY thing is she lives less than 10 minutes away from me!! say what??
It was so good to see them! I loved having a little piece of Missouri in NC and she is one of my most favorite people and friends. Truly blessed this Thanksgiving.  Kane got so big in the year we have been gone! Dash and Kane almost seemed like twins! They went out and had a bit of fun!

The Yergensen family also were in town!! I mean can a girl be anymore blessed than this??! They too moved from Missouri and are living in Alabama but Rach had a race, right here in Charlotte and my favorite family came to visit us and I got to spend time with my favorite, Lisa! This was just what I needed a little bit of familiar faces surrounding me! It would be our first holiday with out dear friends or family! It was heart wrenching when the weekend passed and I had to say goodbye as they slowly left NC! My heart broke all over again!

8th Grade Basketball nov 2014

Dash's coach is a great guy but the dude has no idea how to coach or take a group of kids and work their strengths and pull their weaknesses.  But, Dash enjoys being out there and part of a team and with his boys and if he enjoys it, I do too! But.... just sayin!

NYC and skyzone

After Christmas everyone went to skyzone and jumped on these gigantic trampolines and played dodge ball! The kids had a lot of fun but then again they have a lot of fun just being together! Cousin time is the best!

Later my sister and I and the girls went to the city and we did the typical "city" things! Jen, likes to do the tours and visit or go to all the spots that were in movies or landmark things where I just like to melt into the city and pretend that I belong there and just take in the people, the noise and the traffic! I actually really like driving around NYC! If you watch project runway on TV we went to the material store and while we trying to figure out how to get into the building we saw SWATCH, the dog, outside relieving himself on the sidewalk with his walker! SO so fun and exciting for us.  Yes, we don't get out much and a celebrity dog is good enough for me!

Jen also wanted a picture of her purchasing a shirt from there! Pretty cool.  We also ate at another well known eatery in NYC, called Juniors and we ordered lunch and purchased Junior cheesecake too! Bascically, the taste of Brooklyn in the heart of Manhattan! It was a very busy hopping place to be!!

I also purchased my very own blue tooth selfie stick! it was one of my Christmas presents and I am embarrassed to say it cost me $50!!! What the heck was I thinking! But, I loved using it and we practiced a lot! We got there bright and early so we could be on the Morning Show and then we toured NBC studios and then WALKED AND WALKED and WALKED!! I like to take the subway and Jen would rather walk 20 blocks in one direction only to work 10 in another only to turn back and walk 15 blocks in the other direction to walk 9 right back where we were! Someone needed to get her a map so we could save ourselves time and CALORIES!! LOL
Scary sesame street characters were in the street greeting and creeping on people! I seriously freaked out and couldn't handle it! Costumed fur people make me nervous and wish I had a tazer on me!  We went to see the Christmas tree at Rockefeller center where we ran into some of  NY cities finest NYPD! Thank you for all you do! We had fabulous cannoli's and I am convinced they can only be bought in the city!
