Dash has played rec baseball, challenge baseball and all star baseball! He just turned 9 years old and he is now playing on the Challege kid pitch baseball team. He had just finished his last season of Coach pitch.

He is a left handed batter and who would have known but the kid has a pretty good pitching arm on him too. He is placing them over the plate and striking kids out! This kid amazes me all the time. He is such a natural. He was given the chance to pitch a game. He did really well, especially since we came back from vacation and he hadn't pitched, or hit a ball in almost 4 weeks.

Way to go Dash! Job well done!

Baseball Season is here!

I absolutely love watching my boy play baseball, let alone any sport! He plays with such tenacity and intensity! He plays 110% all the time. This season he is one of the older players in the league. He is 8 and the majority of his team are 7 year olds. There are a few six year olds who had to try out and all coaches had to agree that their skill level was able to play coach pitch and not t-ball. Because his team is fairly young they are also not as focussed and this drives DASH absolutely INSANE!


Being one of the older kids on the team Dash has the opportunity to be a leader and an example. Dash is simply amazing!

Here is an absolutely BRAGADOCIOUS FACT! Dash hit a HOME RUN in tonights game and brought TWO runners in. Jealous? Yeah, I thought so.

Dash played in his first All Star tournament. His team was undefeated going into the championship game and so was the competing team. Dash and his 11 team mates were able to remain undefeated. The final score being 10 to 5.
In this league for tournament there was a 5 run rule. The most you could score per inning was 5 runs or 3 outs, which ever came first. In the last inning there was a no run rule. You could potentially score as many times as possible. It was a good game. Dash loved it! All teams received a trophy for participation. Their second tournament will begin Wed, Thurs, Friday and Saturday. We will miss this tournament.

Grandparents

Don't I look like my mommy? I love that!
My parents came in to visit us for the holiday weekend and they brought my youngest brother with them. He is a senior in high school this year. It was really good to see them again and have them in our home. Mr. Incredible was commenting how easy it is to have them come and visit us and that it always easy when they come.

We were pretty busy. Dash had a tournament for challenge baseball. They got to see him play. My parents when they are spectators are quite the spectators. I love that they are so proud of their grandchildren. My dad was just recently diagnosed with diabetes and he is new to the diet and eating regimen. His diabetes can be controlled by diet and he is not insulin dependent.

They swooned over what a great helper Beauty was and how she just pitched right in and helped with all of the cooking.
They could not believe how big Warrior has gotten and how long his hair is. Warrior gave grandma a ride in his truck. She really enjoyed that. Warrior's vehicle is definitely an experience to be had and no words could qualify.

My dad is a NASCAR fan. I didn't realize how big of a fan he really is. They had bought our family tickets to go to the races from Thursday night to Sunday night. Sunday night being the big Finale. We went to church on Sunday and then the boys went to the races. The girls we had a day of shopping and good eating. Normally, we do not do any of these things on Sunday but they were in town and it was RACE WEEK.

Sweetheart painted our nails including the dogs nails. Kekoa loves for his nails to be painted. My mom tipped as if she was in the salon and Sweetheart was very surprised. Sweetheart always does everyone's nails for no tips.

It was a much needed break for my parents to get away from their business and work. My dad was involved in a very serious accident earlier in the week. One man had died. After investigation, it was found to be no fault of my dad's and they believe the other driver had a medical issue, a suspected heart attack. So sad and such an eye opener to everyone.

Memorial Day we took it real slow and everyone got up and dreaded the day to come because they were headed out. We had brunch out and I overheard my children saying to one another, I wonder who mom and dad will be like? Grandma Janice or my parents. I quickly replied I will be like both. My children still have a great grandmother, who is 92 yrs old. She is very witty and has all of her faculties. She is an inspiration to me.

I really loved having my parents visit. I wish they had brought my neice and nephew with them. WE look forward to seeing them again this summer, in NY. Not a lot of pictures but definitely a lot of memories were made! We love and miss you!

Baseball

Baseball is coming down to a close. Dash was invited to practice and play on the challenge team. He is pretty excited. His team had 3 tough games back to back. Wed, Thursday and Friday they played. They have done really well. Mr. Incredible is his coach and we have 4 players who have never played before. I am team mom. I will be planning our team party and getting the trophies together. Our team is pretty young and in our league we play a few teams who have 3 to 4 challenge players on a team. We have one challenge player on our team. Mr. Incredible has coached the boys really well. They know the fundamentals of baseball and the mechanics of it. They have improved so much. They have only loss 3 games which ties them in 4th our of 11 teams. We have 2 more games this week and then our season will be over. If we win these last two teams, which are also in the top 3. We will improve our seat. I am so proud of these boys and the team and what Mr. Incredible has done with them. We had a very successful year. Each one of the boys should go home proud and feeling good about their season. Aden hit another home run and made some awesome throws and outs in the field. He through a guy out from short. He is also a lefty. He loves the game!
