DINNER DINNER Ole'

This dinner was absolutely amazing! Basically, it is just a southwestern salad! But, being homemade it made it OUT OF THIS WORLD good!
The second dish is our infamous camarones chipotle

DINNER

I made dinner from whatever was left in our freezer and based on how much effort I wanted to put into the meal, which was all but 3 minutes!

It is polish sausage, home made mashed potatoes and cheese.
I boiled the potatoes, peeled them, added butter and pepper and poured in shredded cheese.
Then I layered it with mashed potatoe mixture and polish sausage, mashed potaoes and sausage and cheese on top, stuck it in the oven and to blend the flavors and called it GOOD.

The overwhelming response to my half hazzard dinner was a resounding we will eat it but we won't like it or sing its praises. It basically was garbage. The sausage flavored the potatoes well but..... it tasted and looked like GOOP!

But.... Goop isn't that bad. I think it went goopy when I added the milk to the mashed potatoes it looked a little bit like wallpaper paste. YEAH, if you had any doubt that about summarized it.

Warrior had spent the night at his friends house who was leaving for college early this morning. He came home and ate the huge amounts of left over dinner. HE PRAISED IT, HE LOVED IT, He was all over it!!

Darn, I'm going to miss him! He always eats my dinner catastrophes! LOL, I also realized with him not home for dinner I need to cook half of what I normally do. I hope he gets enough to eat out there!

Andrew's Bread Sticks - YEAST

While we were in TN, Gretchen shared with me Andrew's favorite recipe for breadsticks. She had me make these and guess what? I needed to use my most favorite find. I have avoided using YEAST and making bread because it required YEAST! Yeast is my newest Best friend.

BREAD STICKS

2 1/4 c. flour
1 c. warm water
1 TBL. yeast
1/2 C. parmessan
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder

Mix into mixing bowl and let sit for 10 minutes. Roll out, spread soften butter on top and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake on 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes until brown.
