MEME

I received this award from Alicia! All I have to do is post 10 HONEST things about me. I really enjoy Alicia and her blog! She is a fresh! Love her. Check her out!

1.If you ask me how you look, I can never give you my HONEST answer! I'll say, well if you like it or It's not my style, then you know it's not good.

2. I apologize for things even if it's not my fault I say I'm sorry for everything.

3. EXCEPT! I can't say I'm sorry when IT IS MY FAULT! it pangs my soul and destroys me.

4. My personality is 50%RED and 50%BLUE, this means ( I like to be in charge and bossy but I feel guilty about it) TRUE!

5. I am honestly and deeply in love with myself! My blog is my most favorite blog to read! I find myself quite humorous.

6. I LOVE my family something fierce they are more important to me than life itself.

7. I honestly LIKE to lie about my AGE! I guess, I'm not so honest, huh?

8.I am very competitive.

9.I am basically good at EVERYTHING I try or attempt to do. (did I mention, I'm humble to?? (seriously, If I want to do it, I can)

10. I suffer from failure to launch. I'm not afraid to FAIL, I'm afraid to succeed.

I received this from Wendyburd. Truly you have to list 25 of your favorite movies but she listed 50! because she's awesome and that's how she rolls. Her posts are always thought provoking and passionate about what she likes and doesn't like! Go read her. She is great!
Me?? Once, I watch a movie I can't watch it again. Because it wasn't that great. So, these are the top 25 movies that I could watch over and over and not tire.

1. Blast from the Past. Alicia Silverstone and Brandon Frasier. I love everything about this movie. I could watch it over and over again.
2. Savanah Smiles- It is a movie from way back in da day and I adore this movie.
3. Raising Helen. Yep, I like Kate Hudson in this. She is this single carefree woman, life is all about me and her sister dies and she is the one chosen to bring her neices and nephew up. I would do the same as her sister. I would choose someone just like me to raise my children. EEK, there is NOBODY just like me!
4.Sweet Home Alabama- Gotta give it up for Reese Witherspoon. She is just so dang cute and of course, its a chick flick! But, even Mr. Incredible likes this.
5. I am Legend - Stars Will Smith. This movie really had me thinking and scared.
6. Sixth Sense - I loved this movie with Bruce Willis because I didn't expect the ending. I liked all the subtle clues of the use of the color red. Good movie.
7. Love Come Softly - I enjoy the entire series.
8. Hitch - Love Will Smith in this again. Definitely watch over and over.
9. A Walk in the Clouds - Keanu Reeves. I loved this movie. A young service man returns home from war to a woman he married just before leaving found out they had nothing in common met a wealthy spanish girl and the romance begins. LOVED IT.
10. GREASE! - C'mon who doesn't like this movie. The young John Travolta with Olivia Newton John.
11. MICHAEL- Again, John Travolta is a fallen angel.
12. CLUELESS- Yes, I like Alicia Silverstone. I am a product of the 80's like TOTALLY!
13. How to lose a guy in 10 days- Another Kate Hudson movie with my boy Matt! She is a writer for a magazine and she does everything to hook a guy for the first night and then will do almost anything to get him to break up with her. It is a comedy and romance and my type of movie! I love it!
14. CHARLIE- yes, it is a church movie but I love it and break out the tissues.
15. You've Got Mail - Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. A man is a widower and his son calls into a radio station wishing that his dad could be happy and date someone.
16. SPLASH, BIG, - Tom Hanks stars in both movies. Splash is about a him and a mermaid into the city and BIG is about where this 13 year old boy makes a wish on a carnival gypsy fortune teller and he becomes this adult and is thrown into the executive world.
17. Thirteen Going on 30- Jennifer Garner she is 13 and she makes a wish and she finds herself as a grown woman. Kind of like Big, but I like this one a bit better.
18. Second Hand Lions- This is an awesome movie! A great movie for the entire family. I can watch this over and over.
19. Days of Thunder- Yeah, I like the passion of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman.
20. TOP GUN! come on who doesn't take the remote and SLOW MO the volley ball scene??
TOM CRUISE: FAR AND AWAY, one of my favorites. He is an Irishman.A few Good Men, Mission Impossible, COCKTAIL
(oops, maybe I should have left that part out, but AHHH, muscles, sweat and sand! help me, PLEASE PRAY FOR ME)
21. JULIA ROBERTS- I used to ADORE her, now not so much but I still enjoy many of her movies. STEEL MAGNOLIAS! - Hello, just a good ol' southern movie! Adore WEEZER!
22. Dying Young, Sleeping with the Enemy, Pretty Woman, FLATLINERS, Step Mom, Pelican Brief, My BestFriend's Wedding, Mona Lisa's Smile, OCEAN's ELEVEN
23. REESE WITHERSPOON- Legally Blonde, Walk the LINE, Just like HEAVEN
24.DWAYNE JOHNSON! -Ok, this man is a gorgeous hunk of muscle! ::swoons:: I could watch him all day and he doesn't have to say a word! Here's his movies
25. SCORPION KING, THE RUN DOWN,GRIDIRON,WALKING TALL, THE MUMMY RETURNS, GAME Plan!

I'm done and it wasn't that hard! If you grab anyone of these leave a comment and let me know so I can go read your honest answers and tastes in movies!

Monster Mommy

I haven't been my best lately. It seems like every little thing irritates and annoys me. I have yelled in a evil wicked voice that would make Joan Crawford win the Mother of the Year Award! Seriously! I am posessed and something takes over my face so that it scrunches up and I look demonic. My voice goes to an intense shrill or a deep growl. A voice that does not belong to me.
I end up hating myself afterward. The littlest things set me off, mostly it is picking up things that a 17 year old to a 8 year old should be able to take care of. Still doesn't excuse the severe emotional break downs. Mr. Incredible is begging that I medicate myself. It very well could be hormonal. I had a hyster when I was 31 or was it 32? Oh, who cares! I had a hyster.

I am stubborn. I think that I should be able to pray this away or serve it away or do something! But, it would help if I started praying, right? I have taken St. John's wort. It's an over the counter mood stabilizer. It's for depression! Depression? I'm not depressed! I just get mad as Haiti if they can't do simple constant requests. Why, is my mental condition called into play when people don't OBEY?? I have used it every so often. I still have more than half a bottle left. It does make me mellow. Spill a glass of milk and I'm chillin'! Where normally, I would be raging.
There is a new over the counter drug called SamE. When it comes on TV my family is like, "MOM, Goose, you need that!" They are laughing and joking but maybe I do need it!" What's that big Utah drug? How do you get on that? Most are members of the church and the upside is they are all skinny! SIGN ME UP for that!!! If you know what it is leave a comment and tell me more! For the most part I am happy go lucky. But I can get into my OCD swings and that is when my world and their world are off kilter! It doesn't happen often but OH when it does.
Here I am, Monster Mommy! How appropriate to be Frankenstein. I should really be the doctor!

TAG TAG TAG!

I have been tagged by Marriane! This is a fun tag because it's a no brainer. All you have to do is go to your pictures and open the 6th folder and show the 6th picture. I can do that! Here it is.

Look how young and how sweet! This was a big end of year for us! Dash, my baby had just graduated pre school and would embark on Kindergarten, Beauty, graduated from the 5th grade and would start her first year in Middle School. Warrior would start High School as a Freshman. What a year! Sweetheart was feeling a bit left out so I made her a hair bouquet and she was happy! Time goes so fast.
I have been tagged by Wonder Woman and Melinda.

I have to list 7 QUIRKS or random things about myself! Lawdy mercy, how can I just narrow it down to SEVEN! I have so many!

1. I don't like to be lightly brushed against or have my arms or body caressed. I hate that gentle touch. It totally bugs! If by chance someone brushes up against me and makes skin contact. I have to rub the feeling off.
2. When I sign my given name I have to put an exclamation point at the end, every time.
3. I do not let my lips wrap around a spoon. My spoon will never be clean.
4. The kitchen has to be CLEAN before I can cook or bake.
5. Unfolded clothes bug me in a store. Sometimes, I will refold shirts in a department store.
6. I can't drink straight from a cup at a restaurant. I need a straw.
7. If someone tells me I won't like a person, or speaks negative about a person I instantly make up my mind that I WILL LIKE that person. I automatically turn a deaf ear when people try to taint my opinion. I like to decide on my own and I like for each person to make or break their reputation by their dealings with me.

I am choosing not to tag anyone. I don't always follow rules. I look at rules as guidelines. NO, never means NO unless you have exhausted all other options. No, can always be over turned.

UTI- you UGLay!

UTI and yeah, I don't mean Universal Technical Istitute, either. I had never experienced a UTI, until after I turned 30. Some freakin' welcome to 20/10, huh?
I could feel the symptoms early Sunday morning. I love AZO! She has never let me down. I tried to deny the reality and ignored it. Got, to church said a few hail mary's and it got worse. Well, maybe because I'm not Catholic and hail mary's don't really work in the LDS religion. At that point though I was praying to about every God known to man.

I left church early to visit an Urgent Care and $50 later they confirmed what I already knew. They should really make this treatment an over the counter drug. I mean seriously, who wants to load up on antibiotics only to give themselves a yeast infection. NICE, huh? don't worry I don't have the latter. This UTI kicked my butt!

I was just wiped out! I went into work and came home early both days. I ran a fever and crashed for 3 days straight. I felt good enough and took a day trip to BOSTON! woohoo, that was fun. We left Thursday morning and came back Thursday night. I'll share pics of my trip, laterz.

Normal??

You Are 45% Normal

While some of your behavior is quite normal...
Other things you do are downright strange
You've got a little of your freak going on
But you mostly keep your weirdness to yourself

How Normal Are You? ummmm... yeah! I told ya I was different!
(is it the OCD, ADD, type A personality??)
You've got a little of your freak going on (Yeah baby, that's why Mr. Incredible is still wit me, but shhhhhhhh don't tell)
But you mostly keep your weirdness to yourself (probably not so much as I should)
Ok, so take the QUIZ and let me see what your scores are. Oh, I ranged from 55% to 45% normal. I took the quiz twice and gave you the lower score. I didn't want any FALSE pretenses going on!
How Normal Are You?

Tears of Wisdom

Hooray, Thursday was my last day of working for the week. It went great. Mr. Incredible held down the fort. (We always have each others back) We make such a good team. Children were fed and the house orderly. I had just finished working almost 40 hours in 3 days and in less than 5 hours sleep, I awoke to finish another 6 hour day. That's a lot of hours in a short time span.

I walked into each of my children's bedrooms and admired their beautiful sleeping bodies and oh how my heart ached. I had missed them so much. The last time I saw each of them awake was Monday Night, at family prayer. I was gone before they awoke each day and home after they went to bed. I would leave at 7am and get home at 11pm. The first time we saw each other again was Thursday afternoon. Only to gear up for 2 soccer practices and a JV football game.

No one complained through the week and everyone always sounded happy when I would call. I have been implementing the FlyLady. I did it years ago. I started blogging and needed to implement her schedule once again. I even have my children FLYING! This is a note I left for them. If you can make it a game they get it done.

Sweetheart came home and gave me an incredibly long hug. I love my afternoon greetings with all of the kids! I have a thing with each of them. Which can be found near the last paragraph of here, here, here and here. It is a special time of day. I think it is Sweetheart's most important time.
Sweetheart had asked about my work schedule. I told her I was thinking about working the same hours again. "OH, she replied' and then her little chin quivered and her body began to shake. Her tears moved me to tears. She told me she wants me home. I told her why I was working and she said she would rather have no Christmas than have me gone. She wants me home in the afternoon. OK, settled. no more doubles. I can still achieve the same hours and be home in the morning when they awake and in the afternoon after school. My working is purely optional and not a have to.

My babies need me and more importantly they miss me! I am never missed because I am ALWAYS HOME!! It's nice to be missed. For now, I will continue to rock my babies and be a presence in the home always. For one day my babies will leave and I will have all the time I need to reach personal goals. When I chose to have children. I chose to put their needs first. What I love is that all my babies know the importance of a mother in the home. I'm thankful that we live within our means and that our children ask for very little.

When I share the ages of my children with co-workers they never seem to understand about me only choosing to work one or two days a week. They tell me your children are older. They can take care of each other. Our children are under our charge. I didn't have children so that they could babysit one another. Some families do but it's not for our family. On occasion Warrior may have to run someone to practice or YW and Beauty may have to watch the little ones for an hour or two but nothing more.

These pics were taken 2 Easter's ago. ICK!! They are the most current of me with them. I guess I need to be in front of the camera more. NOT!

AIRPORT USAirways

Isn't my bag cute! I love that bag.
US Airways has captured me and kept me prisoner and away from my friends and family. I really like what I do for the most part. I like the challenge and dealing with different situations and people on a constant basis.

I have missed you all. I am choosing to work 48 hours in 4 days. I have been away because I have been at soccer practices and games as well as football games and taking pictures on Thursday and Friday nights. To say my schedule as been a little busy is an understatement. But, I love it. I took the summer off so that I could be with my kiddos. Now, I am ready to work. I do appreciate and like the ability to have a very flexible schedule. I can work as little or as much as I need to.

My goal this year to pay for all of Christmas out of my checks. I received another pay raise and we have been receiving $50 extra a month for customer service and on time departures, for the past 7 months! ( I work for US Airways express)
I am home when my children come home from school and in the mornings Mr. Incredible is with them until they hop on the bus.
It's a great time to pick up extra hours because its basically easy money right now. The weather is fair and offers its own problems but nothing terribly bad. Flights are not over sold and are fairly a light passenger load. Now, is a great time to travel.
Guess what?? I got to meet an Internet friend from my yahoo group. She was travelling through my city and had a small lay over. I happened to be working and we hung out for a bit! She was so fun and I absolutely love her!!! She does have a high profile job and travels a ton. I am still trying to convince her to start a blog!

ME ME ME

The Good, Bad and the Ugly!

I need to premise this thought with IT's ALL my mother's fault! She named me!!
I am SHOCKED at how accurate this name thing was! I mean dead on ACCURATE, even to the hidden flaws I thought I so meticulously covered.
Of course, I inserted my real name and then deleted it and added Mother Goose. I am still a little paranoid with all of this. Actually, I don't care if you all know my real name. I just care about my off spring. We have some serious wackos here. People at the airport call me by my first name and it always throws me off kilter. Then I remember I have my name plastered across my chest! But, its freaky and I'm very cautious of people. I do have a good read on people though, and I am rarely wrong with my first impressions! Like FREAKY never wrong. So, I do trust my intuition.

What Mother Goose Means

You are very open. You communicate well, and you connect with other people easily
You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind.
A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable. You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out. Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia. Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person. You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.

You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.

You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong.
You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know.
You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do.
You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.
You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.
You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.
You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life.
You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home.
You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.

You have the classic "Type A" personality.

Ideally, I can get along in the real world with everyone.(adaptable). But, resisting my real thoughts and feelings around people for a prolonged period of time. I need to retreat and go into my cave, energize and then I can come out to play nicely, again. I can do anything that I want to do and accomplish it. Yes, I can let my ideas get carried away. Then I am disappointed if I can not make it all happen. I am a perfectionist and I won't give up or accept it unless it is done to my satisfaction. I do not expect you to get on my frenzy, just to get out of the way and let me accomplish it. The only person I expect to help me with my frenzy is Mr. Incredible. (nice, huh?) I am a procrastinator. I do work well under pressure and do put off things until the end. I do bore easily. Once I have mastered it, I move on. I am high energy until it loses my interest. I do like to be away from home. I do not have to clean or do chores and traveling to random locations must mean my ability to get lost frequently. I'm impatient and have a low tolerance for mediocrity. I can pacify but don't ask me to sugar coat things for a prolonged period. There are very few grey areas for me. Most things are black and white. I am a good debater. I can argue anything and get you to see my point of view. I avoid confrontation by ignoring it and running away from it. But when backed in a corner I come out fighting like a lioness. But, ummm... don't mess with my goslings or you will open a whole can of WHOOP #$#. Mama Goose turns into a rabid Mama bear.

I plugged each one of my family members name in and we are all TYPE A personalities! Surprise, surprise! NOT!
Like popeye says: I yam who I yam

HONDA CBR 600 f4i

This post is just for Alice! I will have some pics of me on my bike with my helmet and my jacket. When Mr. Incredible and I were newly married he had bought a Honda CBR 600, WE enjoyed riding it all over Utah and through the canyons. I even was brave enough to drive the motorcycle all around the apartment complex and for a quick spin on the streets around the complex. Then we learned that I was prego and when it started getting uncomfortable to ride on the back of the bike it was time to sell. Mr. Incredible and I loved riding together and I was perfectly content to always be behind him. Riding double is NOT for everyone. In fact, I never ride anyone unless they are considerably lighter than I. I have driven my 2 younger children. Kai who was just under 90 pounds is uncomfortable for me to ride. I don't like to feel any shift of movement in my bike from the back end. Mr. Incredible back in Dec of 2004 had started looking at motorcycles. I knew a buy was in our near future because Mr. Incredible never browses or wastes time researching things unless his intent is to buy. He then started going to the local Honda stores. He found a HYABUSA which is the fastest rated stock street bike there was at the time to purchase. He asked me to go look at it. I loved it and was excited for him to get one. I then started hopping around on a bunch of bikes saying I want one blah blah blah. I get caught in the moment pretty easy. I even picked one out. A few days later he calls and asks if I want one. I said, NO, let's just get one and if I like riding again we can consider buying another in the summer. Valentine's Day comes and it is wet and raining outside. Mr. Incredible is at the Honda store buying his bike. He calls again and asks. I say, No don't get me one but just buy one for you. 9:30 pm comes and I hear Mr. Incredible's truck approaching our driveway. I look out the window and he has the trailer attatched with not one bike but TWO! and it is this brand new 2004 sparkling electric blue bike with chrome wheels all decked out. It was my Valentine's day present. I was excited but my heart sank slightly because this gift was just too expensive to let sit in the garage, like I did with the treadmill that was given 4 Christmas' ago. This meant I had to DO something. This meant that I HAD to LEARN how to ride and get a MOTORCYCLE license. Mr. Incredible is all about doing things with family. He never wants to do an activity alone or away from us. Hence, purchasing the 6 four wheelers two Christmas' prior. HE felt with 2 bikes we could be together and if we needed we could ride 2 of the children. Which we did when we took our bikes to Mexico Beach in Florida.

I have a personality where I will try it if I think it is fun I will give it a try. I also will do something if people say I can't do it. I can tell the most gruesome motorcycle stories with the best of them and it annoys me when people go on and on about them. Be polite tell your one story and move on. So many people out of the blue will just offer you their unsolicited advice and opinion about riding. DID I ASK? I mean, what's the purpose? Did they really think their opinion mattered to me? I am ok with a person not liking motorcycles or wanting to ever ride or own one. But, to influence and insult me I take issue with. I could see if they mattered to me. But, for total strangers or church members whom we have never had dinner with to give me their unsolicited advice, I get annoyed. Dinner means I cared enough to get to know you on a different level. Meaning a form of a friendship has started rather than just an acquaintance or friendly face I see.
I enrolled in a motorcycle drivers class and it was so fun and amazing. I earned my M class on my license and passed the driving and the written with flying colors.
I had to pick out a helmet and I am all about colors. I didn't care how cheap or how expensive the helmet was just as long as I thought it looked good. Of course, the helmet I found cost more than our mortgage payment. Then I had to find a jacket that matched my helmet. I truly wanted a pink helmet because I wanted people to know that the rider on this bike was in deed a CHICK! All of the ladies large jackets did not fit me. UGH! I needed to purchase a man's jacket. I found one that matched the stripe in my helmet. I rode a lot for me. But, I am a fair weather rider. I only ride on the most perfect days and it is hard to ride around town on a bike, unless I am just going for a joy ride or to work. You can't carry grocery bags on a cart, cart children to and fro or SHOP. Because there is no place to hold the bags. People at work loved the fact that I ride. I love riding. I get apprehensive about stopping or doing a tight turn. It comes with experience. I have not ridden my bike in almost a year. Warrior, my son, YES< GASPUH! I know, rides my bike a lot! I am not comfortable with this because it does not matter how careful you the rider is but you have to ride so defensively. Face it, it is you and the road. No metal in between. He is such a good rider. It comes to him naturally. He has had a go cart, 4 wheeler, etc since he was 6. I have chalked it up to there is no other rider I would rather have teaching Warrior and riding with Warrior than his DAD. I know riding together and their conversations afterward will only help him. Mr. Incredible rides as an adult. Probably, Warrior will continue to ride as an adult. (I hope not) But he most likely will. I take comfort in knowing that he is riding with experience by his side and getting experience than thinking that when he is 24 yrs. old he could be hopping on a bike with out anyone to teach him etc. (He would probably be married etc)
I do like my bike and I long to get back on it. I rode it a few months ago just to the store and back and I was cold! I love when Bill and I go out riding to the store or when we are on date night and stop at a restaurant. People always stare.
The longest I have ever ridden my bike at one time was for 2hours and it was uncomfortable. I may have extra padding but it didn't matter.

GoodWill Score again!

Goodwill Score again! I popped into Goodwill again and found a book shelf for less than $20. It was a salvage item from Target. Sometimes, these salvage items are great deals. Our Goodwill seems to charge a high amount for used donated furniture. Half the time, I think they have lost their minds. The book shelf fits perfectly between Sweetheart and Dash's beds. I have been wanting to paint their dresser white. I have it sanded and this shelf will go perfectly with their dresser.
The biggest score has been this set of scriptures. On the temple trip I bought Warrior another set of scriptures. It cost me just over $50 with tax for the triple combo. These scriptures are brand new. I quickly thumbed through it to ensure that pages were not torn from them. What I believe is the story behind these scriptures is there were many many blue bibles donated from some church group. I think when the southern baptist churches give their yearly speil on The Mormon church being a cult, someone purchased scriptures and then felt guilty to throw them away that they decided to donate them. One man's trash is another's treasure. Sweetheart needed scriptures again because Warrior left her scriptures out when Kekoa was a puppy and he feasted upon the word of God, literally. LOL! I bought those containers for Beauty's room. The ice blue/gray matches her room perfectly and it will keep her clutter contained and off the floor; that's the plan Target for $2.

Temple Trip 2008

The BELOVED BUS!

CHERYL and NING! I would not even have this picture if Ning didn't ask for it!
I should have taken more people's pictures/

It rained the entire time we were there that I did not pull my camera out for any temple pics! Major bummed!

Check out the amount of onions on this salad!! THIS lady clearly does not care who she is sleeping with tonight! NO matter how many times you brush your teeth, you can't get rid of the onion breath on this one! I was going to post the picture of who owned this salad but decided against it! It was too funny!

I was a little bummed about the temple trip because my sil was not going to be able to be my roomy. Wednesday night I haphazardly through my clothes together but I also shopped the entire day for new clothes and toiletries and food for the room and to share. I thought about bringing my karaoke but left it. Next year I will bring it. People were bummed that I left my blog book. I am so surprised how it has gotten around the stake that I have a blog book. I showed up bright and early to the stake center Thursday morning. I am usually one of the last to arrive and running and throwing my things on the bus. I usually have someone saving me a spot. New room assignments had been made. I did not know who I was rooming with. I roomed with JulieAnna Bishop, way kewl! I am so glad! She had me a seat next to her. I was there in time to hear the opening prayer. In 10 years I have not been there in time to hear the opening prayer. ::note to self:: miss opening prayer for next year. (just kidding) ;)

I am sad that I did not take more pictures of us having fun or in front of the temple or the bus or with all of our shopping bags! I intended on getting a massage at the hotel but that service was not offered! I was major bummed out!

THE BUS RIDE makes the entire trip for me!!! THE BUS RIDE MAKES THE ENTIRE TRIP! THE BUS RIDE MAKES THE ENTIRE TRIP!! Ok, if you couldn't tell. The bus ride is so awesome and fun for me. I talked, laughed and talked the entire 4 hours on the bus, going and coming back. It is my perfect stage. People trapped on a bus that can go nowhere except listen to me or watch me! I was truly on one. We laughed so hard and always share more than probably should be shared. But, this is where you are able to truly know each other than the smiles and well wishes that you see on Sunday. An enormous amount of food and desserts are passed up and down the bus for the entire 4 hours. I learned from last year to pass on everything and accept only 2 times. I was so sick from eating a piece of everything that I felt on a sugar high and was sick, last year. I also learned to pack water, juice and healthy things like carrot sticks, celery sticks and apple wedges because these are welcomed snacks from all the chocolate, homemade fudge, and bake goods.

We arrived to the temple and everyone changed and did sessions and then we all went to the mall afterwards for dinner. We ate at Garrison's. My dinner was to die for. I got the same thing last year. Southern style shrimp and grits. I am still trying to perfect my recipe before I can post it. This restaurant was not the sort of restaurant you would pull out a camera. Well, I might have but I chose not to. My dinner and dessert was $40. and definitely worth it.

WE then retired back to the Marriott where everyone received their room keys. Ladies then went to the pool, jacuzzi, weight room, sauna's etc. The first night I always bounce around from room to room to see what I can scarf and to listen in and get to know others even more. If I did not know who you were on the bus. I would sit in front of you, introduce myself and then ask you 20 questions about yourself. I met 8 new sisters this way! I am a bit on the crazy side and a little funny weird, when I am out of my element. I figure there should be no reason why I don't know you and why you shouldn't fall hopelessly in love with me.

We woke around 7 and caught the 8 bus. Saturday was my big day for the temple. I did 3 endowments, and sealings. Not in a row. and then we went back to our traditional place for dinner FUDRUCKERS! The table for us was huge. So, I ate my meal chatted with 8 people around me whose conversations I could hear and then made my way to 3 different areas of the tables so I could catch up on their conversations. Yeah, I love flitting around from table to table. We shopped and went to the bookstore and then to the mall.

The weekend was spent eating and shopping and doing some service. It was awesome. WE also ate a cheesecake factory and I bought a sandwich for the trip home. The Atlanta temple is so stinking hot! it was crazy. Also, while we were in a session the fire alarm went off. WE were not quite sure what to do. All was well though, a sister had burned popcorn in the microwave. Really really badly. They had to throw the top microwave Away! My hair is so porous that the stench was so bad it was in my hair and I didn't enter the cafeteria until much later.

I love the beds at the hotel! I suffer from insomnia but that night had never slept so well. I had a bed all to myself and when I awoke my mind was so clear. I need a bed like that. I was wide awake and refreshed. That is until they start the session. I was awake! I decided to slump in my seat and close my eyes and tilt my head back on the chair and repeat in my mind the words that were being said in the movie. ALL of a sudden, I hear this short snort! INSTANTLY, I sit straight up in my chair and lean over to JulieAnna and say, Was that me snoring? My body temp. raised 20 degrees, I was so hot, I was so embarrassed. Heads from the front row turned and eyes seared right into my soul! I could have died and you can bet that kept me wide awake and alert. I felt like my DOG, KEKOA!! He can lay down on the floor be wide awake and snore!! That was me, I was awake! I really wasn't asleep. I was repeating the words in my head and BOOM!

It was hot in there. It was hot for the initiatory and for the sealings. I thought I was going to pass out. Many of the women complained about being hot. The temple workers were little old sweet women who were wearing shaws in an 78 degree room!

The bus had the same issue. The front of the bus was FREEZING the middle of the bus decent and the back of the bus a sauna. I felt like I was experiencing menopause just walking from one end of the bus to the other. WE watched a movie and one of the TV screens was directly over my head. I decided to cover the screen, midway through the movie and request for money to be sent forward to be able to watch the rest of the show. 4 out of the 8 new sisters said they were glad I went and they got to know me. One said, I made her entire trip. OK, how come I can be friends and like other people in my ward but I struggle with the women in my own ward???? Would I not like those ladies if they were in my ward? I have to say that there were women from my ward that went on the temple trip and I really got to know them better and LOVED it! I have so many stories to share both funny and embarrassing but unfortunately those are only stories to be shared in real life or real time.

WOOHOO

I have shopped all day and I am packing and for our Women's Retreat/temple trip. I am going to try to get some awesome night temple pics. I am going to start a temple wall at our house. Each temple that we have been in I am going to photograph it, in Black and white! So far, I have been in the Mount Timpanoga, Washington, DC, Columbia, SC, Atlanta, GA, Honolulu, HI, Nashville, TN and Dallas FortWorth, TX. I have seen many other temples but I have not been IN them. So 7 temples will soon adorn my wall. Except, I have to figure out how I am going to go back and take those temple pics. The only hard one will be Texas to get, unless I just fly there for the day. Ohhh, since Mr. Incredible and I are making a temple committment flying to different temples would be AWESOME!!! We need to do that. All of the East coast temples would be easy to do! I am so excited!

Which Brady are you?

Ok, so I am recovering from being sick. LOL, I guess that is my excuse for posting so much today. I found this survey here and decided to take it too.

You Are Marcia Brady

Confident yet kind. Popular yet down to earth. You're a total dream girl.

You've got the total package - no wonder everyone's a little jealous of you.

Disney Princess

It came as no surprise to me that I would be this kind of princess. The description fits. Ok, now take the test and see just what kind of princess you are.

You Are Mulan!

Strong and spirited. You're no one's girly girl; actually you are very determined person with a strong sense of self. Never let go of that! The only thing that equals your sense of self is your family, but the traditions of society can always be bent to protect something or someone you love.

My favorite Salad

This is my favorite salad EVER! I pay $8 at the airport for this baby. If I ever forget to bring my lunch which is often, sadly. I am usually not prepared the night before I have to work. I have to wake at 4am and then I don't come home until around 11 that night. My work shift is 6 to 3 on Friday and 6am to 11pm on Saturdays. For the entire month of Feb. I have not had to go to work because I found some AWESOME peeps to work for me! I hope I can do the same for March. However, with our very busy summer coming up. I should actually work some days. click here.

***Thankful Thursday***

I am so thankful for our health. No one in our family is sick. It is no wonder that many are sick, here in Charlotte. We had snow and freezing rain one day and 2 days later the temps are up in the 50's. My friend Mere is sick. She is really sick. She received a blessing last night. She is still ill. I made her chicken noodle soup, tonight. I am on call, in case she needs to go to the hospital. I pray she gets to feeling better. She does so much for her family. She is one of the strongest women I know. Here is a pic of my soup. The recipe will be posted to the recipe blog.

Dedication Run

I stumbled across this site through someone who had visited my photography blogsite. I was surprised because I had not given out the photography site or mentioned to blog except it to be listed on my personal blog. I followed a link which led me to a link. I am so glad it brought me here. To marathon mommies.

If you do choose to do this with your family or with your friends please make sure to tell them. They may even be able to get 97 people total. How neat!

The ladies are running 97 miles for 97 wonderful years of our prophets life. For those of you who don't know who he is, he is a great man of faith, love and tolerance for all mankind. He has been the Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for the past 13 years. Please run a few miles for him, even if you didn't know and love him...he was a great man. Pass the word around and even put it on your blog. Email all pictures and experiences to erin.

I think it is wonderful and can't wait to be a part of this.
