Meet Mildred

It was a cold dreary wet day and our home was filled with solemn and gloom. Our home was barely lit and out on our front porch we heard someone approaching with heavy footsteps followed by a gigantic thud. The door bell chimed! Instantly, every one, including the dog, made a mad dash to the door. I know we broke an olympic or world guiness book of record for times. Four heads were clamoring for the door. We open the door and shrills of delight are heard as we quickly run back inside with a huge brown box in hand. "Who is it from? what can it be? what is it??"
Why did YOU get something mommy, it's not your birthday?" Well, those little boogers stole a bit of my thunder as they ravished through the halloween lights, the halloween hair bows, the lighted pumpkin that changes many hues and the flashing spooky light but the bubble wrap was ALL MINE! OH how I adore BUBBLE WRAP!
PURPLE DIVA I won this from her blog!
But the greatest sweetest surprise was the Diva knows how to dance straight into my heart! She gave me something to REMIND me of HER each time I look at it!

It's purrrfectly purple!
First, every year for the past 8 years I have had an ornament exchange. Our ornaments are all handmade or some type of self craft and if there are 25 people in attendance you make 25 ornaments and you go home with 25 different ornaments. It's like a cookie exchange.
This ornament will always remind me of the purple diva because it's purple, DUH!

But there was a larger package wrapped ever so carefully in my beloved bubble wrap. What is it? SAY IT AIN'T SO!! It's the witch!

As I carefully unwrapped her and freed her from her bubble bath. I perched her up on my mantle and beckoned her to talk with me.

We exchanged our formalities.
and we instantaneously found we were one in heart! She loves to pull pranks on youngsters. ME TOO, She loves to sit by the window on an icy day and watch people biff it. She secretly giggles when she sees someone almost trip. Oh, she's BAD!
She was so engaging and had me enthralled from her snaggle tooth to her ever so coiffed hair. There was something in her eyes that told on her that she wasn't always a witch.

She told me her name was Mildred but I could call her Millie because she knew I was a witch with extreme powers when she witnessed me evoke my wishes by just the twitch of an eyebrow and a peirce harsh glance towards the little people and it it threw them into instant obedience and no more fighting was to be heard! "Impressive!",

"That? that's nothing, wait til you see me raise one eyebrow, what that makes them do?"

She shrilled, "Oh, I can hardly wait."

So Millie and I were sitting back chewing the fat and I couldn't help but adore her.
I love her face!

I know some protested against her face but she's endearing to me! She's a part of me. From the moment I saw her she had me sinning! coveting and requesting where can I get one?? Very few items propell me to such emotions.

I don't like her one bit. (oh, but I do)

I think she caught me cursing her gorgeous slim lean long legs.

But, I quickly recovered when I questioned, "Where ever did you buy your stockings?"
Thank goodness she is a witch after fashion, that had her chatting for another hour!
Mr. Scarecrow loved the new lights I put around the fire place garland but I think he was even happier with Millie being added to the mix.

Move over sweetie, there's a NEW WITCH in town!

OH OHHHH

How do you feel about that Mr. Scarecrow??

YEAH, THOUGHT SO!!
Thank you AGAIN! PURPLE DIVA
