Dash is 15

My little baby is 15! I can't believe how much has happened in his 15 years! His absolute favorite is cheesecake and reeses and oreos! Usually, I will make him an oreo ice cream cake but he requested a cheesecake! AMAZING, its the my go to recipe! I am sure it is on the recipe blog! His gift this year was he wanted to switch game stations and go from the XBOX to the PS4, which means all new games! UGH!! The PS4 is also pretty pricey, so this was his high ticket present!

I sure love this boy of mine! He is not a boy of many words but he is kind and he observes. He silently does what is right and treats people well.  He does things without any announcement. He just quietly serves.  He is still a perfectionist and worries so much about what others think of him or perceives him. He is an immaculate dresser and a shoe-a-holic! If there is ever money to be invested. I am giving it to Dash! He is my entrepreneur! He will always have what he needs.  This kid wheels and deals like nobody's business.  I used to worry about my kids trading their things. Because in the past they always came out with the short end of the stick.  He trades what makes him happy and the other happy.  He comes home with clothes and shoes and trades his things out as well.  He is worse than a girl, in situations like this.  Sweetheart will say he starts off with his clothes and in the bathroom he will come out not wearing one piece of clothing that is his from his socks to his shoes!

Sweetheart's Birthday 17

We went to Maggiano's for her birthday and went next door to Cheese Cake Factory for dessert.
Warrior and Warrior Princess met us there and we also had her boyfriend Callan with us! I think they dated for 3wks! That is a good record for Sweetheart! Our waitress was this sweet old Russian woman and I felt so sad for her. Her service wasn't great but I'm sure she hard times forced her out into the work field. Callan's mom Lisa is a nice woman and I am glad that their family values are very much like our own.  Happy Birthday Sweetheart! Oh, a great highlight of the night was I realized my shirt was on inside out and I had to walk swiftly to the restroom to take care of the issue!

Birthday Lunch and Lunch

I was invited to a luncheon by the lady in the far back on the right hand side! Her name is Jenny! Notice all the gifts on the counter?? Yeah, well Jenny through herself a birthday party that she does every year for the past 3 or 4 years and no one told me!! So, I was the only one without a GIFT!!
SO NOT COOL!! Surely, girl code was broken!

Jenny made an amazing birthday luncheon and it was really nice being able to meet and get to know new ladies! Happy Birthday Jenny!

WE also had another luncheon with Jenny, she left before we could take a picture with her.  Friendship and strengthening each other is what these lunches are about! Fun ladies.

Happy 13th Baby Girl

On Feb. 9th my youngest daughter stepped into being a teenager! We had such an amazing day. Her birthday fell on a weekday so she could celebrate with only one close friend. Sweetheart wanted a big birthday party and wanted to invite boys. But, as her special day approached her feet got cold and she decided for more presents and no friends. She even chose to have her special dinner at home. (as a side note she has only had two big birthday bashes. One when she was 4 and the other when she turned 8, so she is due a birthday bash.

Her room was decorated with streamers and balloons. She had friends dropping off gifts throughout the day.

She had her requested birthday dinner. WE had made from scratch chicken alfredo, caesar salad, fresh baked rolls, and her own birthday goblet and sparkling cider.

Then we had birthday cake. Which I will never buy a cake or anything from Sarah's bakery in Chesterfield. We threw half a cake of each in the trash! BLEH, puke, NASTY!!! and to think I paid $28 for two 5 inch rounds, undecorated! I'm just saying. See, it pays to be prepared. I ran out of time to make her a cake. I had spent the entire day shopping! Her friend Abby decorated the cakes with some tube frosting.

But she did have some fun gifts to open. She wanted her room re-decorated.

Then she opened an Ed Hardy shirt

Followed by a True Religion skirt

But her most favorite gift hands down was from her daddy. She got an ultra small, smaller
than an Ipad, fits in my purse computer! It's pretty sweet and I think I have claimed it. (That is when she's not home and needing it).

So, we wish you a very happy 13th birthday and pray that you go easy on your old parents, through your teenage years! and she's wearing new buckle jeans, she had a new shirt on until she stole that shirt from school today! She has to be up at 5am so I placed her outfit outside her door, so I could get some shut eye.

Each day you continue to grow into a beautiful young woman! You have a beautiful smile and personality.

My heart breaks if ever you are sad and I would do anything to keep that smile on your face. Our family is complete because you are in it! Thank you for being such a good daughter, sister, and friend.

Birthday Car- Saab

Beauty received a beautiful convertible car 2 months before her 16th birthday. I didn't want to share because I was waiting for the climax of her actual day. It never came because Warrior and Dash were in a car accident one month after we bought her car.

The shop owner whom we bought her first car from had another car EXACTLY like hers only it was a standard. He and the Mr. worked out a great deal. Mr. Incredible purchased another car, basically for its frame and they gutted it and took the good from her car and changed it out. They used her seats, CD player and convertible top. They tried to get it done for her birthday but when they replaced the convertible top with a newer top, it had some glitches.

Needless to say, everyone is so happy and Beauty is a wonderful driver. She had originally learned how to drive a standard on Warrior's truck and now it's just a matter of getting use to her car! I love that she loves her car and I can even ride with her without biting my tongue and holding my breath!

Congrats! and hopefully in a week she will be able to take the test, parallel park and she can drive herself to seminary, and do all the errands and running that needs to be done.
Check her out driving in wide open spaces! OK... traffic issues. If this doesn't test a new driver, new car and in stop and go traffic with driving a SHIFT stick! I don't know what will. Please take note of the adult daycare bus.... Yep, they are searching for me.

Comments are turned off. I thought life would slow down but has only gotten busier. I feel badly for not getting to your blogs. I have accepted this new season in my life and that has truly helped the feelings of being overwhelmed. What a beautiful season it is. Hope it is the same for you and yours. Luv, MG
