We arrived 2 Sundays ago and set up shop for a week at a Marriott Suites hotel. I could seriously get used to someone coming in and cleaning, making my bed and providing fresh towels daily. Even though we had a kitchen I did not cook while we were there.

The children started school on a Thursday. Sweetheart loved the first day of school. I picked her up and she was bubbly and had new BFF's and a boys who liked her! Dash loved his first day of school. When he got into the car he beamed, "They have gym EVERYDAY!, I love this school". Beauty got into the car and was quiet. I was so excited to hear how her first day went, because this morning she was so excited to go! Sadly, it didn't go so well and before she could utter a word she was in tears. At that moment, my heart sank and I was fighting back tears as well. Being ever so encouraging and trying to understand I told her tomorrow is another day. The kids are just trying to figure you out and where you fit in and where they fit in. She said they were nice but uninviting. She resolved with a good attitude and wouldn't let it get her down but would try even harder.

Friday, Second day of school. Same as the first. Only Beauty entered the car and climbed to the far bench and sobbed. I stopped the car and got out and held her and could feel her chest heave and my shoulder soak from the tears that fell from her mascara ran eyes. I ached like I have never ached before. Mr. Incredible and I had prayed like we had never before that this transition would be easy for her. In between sobs, she cried out, " WE prayed for the right ward not the right school". I told her, "we prayed that everything would be right, give it time. It has only been two days." As she wiped her tears away and regained her composure she climbed back into the car and sat with her thoughts.
I quickly texted Mr. I and said, text the Bishop we need the YW ASAP! tears flowing hard. I don't understand this pain because my parents still live in the same house I grew up in. Within minutes someone was texting Beauty telling her she understood and had recently moved 8 months ago. It definitely helped.
Monday came and Beauty went to seminary! She loves it and loves the teacher! Mr. Incredible brought her to school and she couldn't open the door. She turned to him with eyes filled with tears and he drove off with both of them in the car. He said, they sat and talked for a bit and drove around the circle once again and he watched his little girl, approach another day of uncertainty and he was the one the drove off with tears in his eyes. She rode the bus home this time and her spirits were a bit happier and she said she had gotten a few girls telephone numbers! "Thank you, Lord!"
We also unloaded that big beast of a trailer and are into our home! I never want to move again and if I do, we are paying for movers! I don't care how much we save!
TUESDAY TUESDAY TUESDAY ohhhh BLESSED TUESDAY! Everyone off to school and everyone arrived home HAPPY! Beauty walked through the doors and she was singing! WHAT? I was afraid to look, it really was, She was singing and happy and bubbly! Instant prayers of gratitude going up. So, see all Beauty needed was 4 days less than a week and life was good again. Because she had such a rocky start I think Mr. Incredible and I spent a small fortune outfitting her. If she was conniving she could have road that gravy train a bit longer because we would have bought her dang near the world! SOooooo glad, she isn't conniving! (that would be me, I'm just sayin...)
My goal was to have the entire house unpacked and lived in by Sunday. I had to fly back to NC on Wednesday and that took the entire day. On Sunday we had our first dinner party. We had our Bishop's family of 6 over! They are a pretty neat family. I really like the two of them! It went over well and I was decorated in every area except for the bathrooms! Yeah, I rock! I know!! I love how the kitchen functions! I still hate that it isn't a gas stove. The children will finish out the rest of the week and then it will be spring break and WARRIOR will be home! The entire house is ecstatic!
NEXT BLOG will be SPRING BREAK!
