FACES of MAY 2015

It has been so nice having Beauty home with our family! She's so stubborn and independent but I know those are the things that are going to make her soar! She's a girl who has her life planned and if things go differently she has a plan for that, too.  She adjusts and bends yet is immovable and strong! I truly admire the woman she is becoming!

I love when my boys get together! It's crazy that they are 10 years apart! I worried that they are my bookends and would never be close but Warrior has always had his little brother right up under his wing! Dash adores him. They fight and talk trash to each other to the point that I have to say enough! But, even though Warrior is married he still makes time to be a big part of Dash's life! I'm not really sure if this is common in other families where siblings are 10 years apart but my heart literally swells when I think how close my children are with each other! It makes me smile from here to eternity!! Like seriously, if this is just a portion of what heaven feels like then I am so lucky to experience 1/100th of it!!! I know that these blessings didn't come without consistency and work and leading by example.  I know that somehow when Mr. Incredible were rearing these hellions we did something right!, (it probably was when we felt like we were failing and doing everything right, that God blessed our wrongs and made them work).

BEAUTY dec 2014

When Beauty steals your phone you can guarantee many pictures! These are pictures of us picking her up from the airport arriving from Hawaii and also us saying good bye to her and sending her back to college! Love her and her beautiful face! She can light up a room with just one smile! She is so smart and intelligent and a good daughter! I'm so glad she blessed my life with her light.

Beauty

This girl is stunning and amazing! She forges her own path and I look up to her in so many ways! She is strong. She is stubborn and she has tenacity.  All of these are strengths and she uses them well.  Only a few times can they all collide and prove to be problematic. Because when you get two strong, stubborn women together it either works or it doesn't! Being away at college she has had to work every day and she has supported herself fully on her own with only small supplements from home! Care packages come for some holidays and being a 6 hour time difference chatting on the phone is less spontaneous and more of a planned effort. When she's up she's either working or at school and when I'm up she's sleeping! She worries about life all too much. She worries about school about money about work about life. She takes on all of her friends ordeals and is loyal to them no matter what. She wants to fix and change the world! She changed her major and is going into Social Work! I was not so enthusiastic about that because I know it is hard. I know that she will see the face of sadness, injustice and heartache but I know she will make a glorious difference and I know she may not change the world but to others she will change their worlds! Isn't that amazing? To be able to change the world for others whom in return will be able to make the world a better place and even impact the lives of others for generations??!! Mind boggling! I miss her and I love her! She works at the PCC and she is either behind the camera or in front of the camera in traditional wear smiling with thousands of tourists each year!

She is my favorite hello and my hardest good-bye! Safe travels to the land of warm breezes and beautiful skies and people! Love you my beautiful Beauty!

Brown Eyed Girl

My beautiful girl just finished performing at the Polynesian Cultural Center. She attends BYUH. She is such a hard worker and so independent. She is beautiful and she embraces the spirit of Aloha! I am so happy that she has found good friends and her heart has been captured by her culture and her people! Hawaii has welcomed her home. She is Hawaii

This girl is so independent and strong willed and a fighter yet she has the heart of gold and of service. She has a strong intellect which can be a blessing and a downfall.  She sees things so clear and is able to look at situations through the lens of clarity taking away the emotion and chaos. I tell her she has a special talent that would lend well to counseling or being in the medical field because she can react and always make clear precise decisions and not be rattled by others emotions or what's going on around her. I know my children are not perfect and I know they have their own struggles and trials! I am so grateful for my own trials as well as their trials. I know through my own mistakes I have become stronger and more solidified in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I don't pray for my children not to have trials or mistakes. I pray that they may always know how to re-align and re-adjust.  I pray that all these things may be for their own good and they may always find light, and truth and Jesus Christ at the end of their journey. In that breath, I am truly thankful and proud of the paths that they have forged.

PROM 2012

It literally took me almost two hours to work my passwords and figure out which gmail account I have all of my blogs on. Pretty pitiful that I haven't visited this writing place in so long that I forgot all passwords, usernames and to find that Blogger has revamped its site. Fair warning this is photo heavy!

Beauty was all set to go to her big prom and then things changed and she wasn't sure she was going. However, she decided the day prior that she was still going to attend on a SINGLE ticket and just have fun with the all of her friends and not worry about the date. (Truly, I admire her for that because I don't know that I would have done the same).

We put things in gear and we found a dress a week prior. We drove out to see it, saw it, loved it, and bought it.  It was also fun finding the perfect accessories that would compliment her and her dress. Her dress is a beautiful Mori Lee dress. Very typical ball gown with lots of tuille and sequinn beating. It is Carolina Panther blue! She wanted to feel like a princess in it and she did. So, we had the prom ticket, the dress and now all we needed was a PICTURE DATE! After all, it is all about the pictures!! So, we decided on DaMarco. He was going to wear green to match his date. I said, I would buy a blue bow tie and all he would have to do is switch out ties for our pictures.

Mr. Incredible and I were quite impressed by what a well mannered behaved young man that DaMarco was. He has been invited over many times. He plays football and wrestles and just signed a 4 year scholarship for football to Minnesota!. WE are proud of you Marco! His brother currently plays at Mizzou and we hope to attend a game this year and cheer them on.

I made Beauty's wrist corsage. It was a hot pink rose centered between two gardenias which smelled absolutely amazing! D's flower lei was made with white carnations accented with hot pink tips. I wanted desperately to use more gardenias but we did not have enough blooms.

DaMarco and Beauty both wore their prom clothes to church the next morning. The flowers or her hair did not survive but they still looked stunning. DaMarco went to church with us the next morning and all I could think about was the movie Blind side and he being a fly in milk in our ward. LOL, but he was a great sport! (I may or may not have leaned over to Mr. Incredible and asked him to call me, Mrs. Tooey)
