Monster Mommy

I haven't been my best lately. It seems like every little thing irritates and annoys me. I have yelled in a evil wicked voice that would make Joan Crawford win the Mother of the Year Award! Seriously! I am posessed and something takes over my face so that it scrunches up and I look demonic. My voice goes to an intense shrill or a deep growl. A voice that does not belong to me.
I end up hating myself afterward. The littlest things set me off, mostly it is picking up things that a 17 year old to a 8 year old should be able to take care of. Still doesn't excuse the severe emotional break downs. Mr. Incredible is begging that I medicate myself. It very well could be hormonal. I had a hyster when I was 31 or was it 32? Oh, who cares! I had a hyster.

I am stubborn. I think that I should be able to pray this away or serve it away or do something! But, it would help if I started praying, right? I have taken St. John's wort. It's an over the counter mood stabilizer. It's for depression! Depression? I'm not depressed! I just get mad as Haiti if they can't do simple constant requests. Why, is my mental condition called into play when people don't OBEY?? I have used it every so often. I still have more than half a bottle left. It does make me mellow. Spill a glass of milk and I'm chillin'! Where normally, I would be raging.
There is a new over the counter drug called SamE. When it comes on TV my family is like, "MOM, Goose, you need that!" They are laughing and joking but maybe I do need it!" What's that big Utah drug? How do you get on that? Most are members of the church and the upside is they are all skinny! SIGN ME UP for that!!! If you know what it is leave a comment and tell me more! For the most part I am happy go lucky. But I can get into my OCD swings and that is when my world and their world are off kilter! It doesn't happen often but OH when it does.
Here I am, Monster Mommy! How appropriate to be Frankenstein. I should really be the doctor!

TRICK bike

It was fun to share this post, "Dragged through the Dirt", I thought I would share another Goose moment.
Warrior had recently celebrated his 8th birthday and he received a sweet "trick" bike. It was complete with front and rear pegs. Warrior had asked, begged and pleaded for a bike jump and finally his incessant pleas wore down my impish fears. It looked a lot like this bike!

Warrior involved me in all of his miniscule and grande accomplishments on his bike. "Look mom, no hands", Look mom, no feet. Look, Mom, I'm standing, Look mom, I'm standing with NO hands". As the days went by he grew bolder, more confident and more skillful. His enthusiasm was infectious. It spread through the house like a cheese fart on a hot summer day. (yeah, bask in that for a moment). (compliments of Mr. Incredible) I won't be asking him for any more analogies.
He had two older boys who were at the house teaching him some bike jumps. They started with the basics and then they got all fancy. I watched and praised the boys as they did their stunts. They flattered me and gave me a false sense of confidence.
"You can do this Mrs. Goose, You can do it! It's not hard. Here watch" The words echoed and were chanted over and over. A bit more coaxing and a few more demonstrations of exactly how I needed to perform this jump.

I went for it, with trepidation. I mounted the bike like a seasoned bull rider. I was focussed. I was determined. I approached the jump and I quickly slammed on the brakes and came to an impressive tire skidding halt.

"I'm scared, I'm a chicken", I cried.

the boys in unison, "You can do it, just go over it".

"ok", I hesitantly responded.

Up the driveway I pedal encouraging and convincing myself every inch of the way that indeed I could do it.

Deep breath in, blow it out, hands gripped on handle bars so tightly that my knuckles are white.
I build up speed, I approach the jump and this time I do not chicken out.
The second my front wheel comes off the jump it plummets and drives itself immediately to the ground. There is no soaring. Well, unless you count my body. The front bike wheel hit the ground directly in front of the jump. My body propelled itself completely over the handle bars and my chest rolled over the front wheel and hit the ground in front of the bike with such force and such power that I thought the earth shook. I basically did a head over heals complete body twist in the air. My body hit the ground with a breath jolting force. It knocked the wind out of me. BUT it definitely did not knock my pride. I put my faith in a metal object and was under the false belief that a bike named monGOOSE would not fail me.
GOOSE and Mongoose are completely different and there is NO LOVE there!
The boys came running to the end of the drive. I immediately got up, laughing barely. "Are you alright, Mrs. Goose, Are you alright Mrs. Goose"? Mom, are you ok?
Yeah, I squeaked out. I couldn't talk, I tried to walk, but I just had to bend over and get some air. I was hurting but I had 3 boys intensely looking at me.

Sadly, there was a Scott's lawn man treating my neighbors yard.
He saw it and he yells out, Mam, are you alright?.
I scowl at him and wave him off like a pestering fly.
NO more jumps for me. They didn't bother to tell me that I needed to make sure that my bike pedals were up and not down. My pedal had snagged the jump! "GEE THANKS"
I imagined it looked similar to this.

Sweet Dreams

(I know you 'll be reading this) Mr. Incredible is out of town tonight. He is in Charleston! Oh how I love Charleston. It holds so many good memories for us as a family! We would escape when our children were young enough where pulling them out of school was no big deal and when Saturdays were not filled with ball games. He is doing some really fascintating work there. I would love to tell ya but then I'd have to kill ya. Seriously, my blog early on got the NIXAY from the COOMPANAY! Do you know they actually pay people to visit each link that mentions certain business names? Well, they do.

Dear Mr. Incredible,

Today was a busy day bringing the children to soccer practices which started at 6pm and finished at 8:30 pm.

We took full advantage of you being out of town

and chose to eat out.

I know you can expense your meals but do you think you can expense ours?

jk,(no really can you?) KIDDING!
You would have been so proud of Dash today.

He is nothing short of AMAZING!

Sweetheart had a great practice!

I love to watch her play in her element with girls her own age. I wish you were there tonight. The weather here was FREEZING!

Warrior has taken his place as reigning priesthood leader

in our HOME.

He is so much more patient.

He is more tolerant and EXTRA kind to the younger two.
BEAUTY has been such
a GREAT help.
Everyone has been more kind to EACH other.

we had gathered in FAMILY prayer and

YOU were truly missed.

A sweet prayer and blessing

was made on your behalf.

I know you will feel extra LOVE,

support

and guidance

while you are

AWAY from us.

I do MISS you terribly

I anxiously AWAIT your return!

I'll be seeing you and LOVING you in my sweet slumber.

Hurry back to us! Be SAFE!

All my love, MG

Dragged through the Dirt

He's my boy!

Last night I thought it would be fun to take our HUGE English MASTIFF out to the soccer fields. I'm chillin in my lawn chair looking all cute and dog is sitting nicely beside me. You don't take our puppy anywhere without wanting to be noticed.
I mean he isn't exactly tiny. He has gorgeous markings, he is large in stature and never mind the fact that he weighs 170lbs. Give or take a few pounds depending on when he has last eaten. He is big. He is strong. He truly is a gentle giant. It is the nature of his breed.

Beautiful dog and I settle in and he is sitting ever so obedient next to me. I notice that another dog and his pet are walking towards us. I don't frett, my dog is more human than k-9. I turn my attention back to the practice fields sitting ever so proper. Less than 3 minutes later I found myself flipped over backwards from my chair, legs in the air, and then dragged on my back. Thankfully, I gained enough sense to flip over belly side and try to wiggle my hand out of the leash. I couldn't do it. I was dragged at least 7 feet. I tried pulling against him but he kept propelling me forward. I tried desperately to pull my arm out of the loop but to no avail. I was being dragged like a rag doll with no hopes of stopping. Finally, the k-9 gods above took pitty on my plight and it ends as I look up and see the other dog with his pet stairing directly above me. I know that man was trying desperately to stifle his laughter as I hear, "Are you all right?" I quickly get to my feet. I instinctively retort, "Yeah, I'm fine". In a tone, leave me alone, go away I never want to see you again, and if you do see me out do not acknowledge me. I was wanted to dye!. My butt was just dragged across a field where parents, coaches and a hundred kids were practicing. One girl saw and she couldn't even finish her drill she dropped to the ground laughing!

Mortified, embarrassed and hair all a ruffle I do what any good dog owner would do. I get up and beat the mother living daylights out of my dog! OF COURSE, I didn't! What do you take me for? When I did regain my senses. I reprimanded my dog and yanked his chain hard enough to rattle his word that there was no mistake he had messed up. But, I know the chain rattling was to no avail seeing that it was nothing for him to drag my big butt across the field. I am not a tiny woman. I'm polynessian, Tongan Hawaiian. (need I say more?)
Yes, I see a few light bulbs going off upon this realization.

YES! DOG is BIG and STRONG
I told you that!
I have learned a few lessons. 1. Looking cute with dog is being haughty and haughty means your naughty. You will be humbled.
2. He ruined a beautiful white linen blouse that is still soaking in woolite. Don't take dog out looking good.
3. Never over estimate the control your pet has over YOU and
4. Do not loop your arm into the leash. You won't be able to let go.
To his defense the other dog was a hot lookin' biotch, in k-9 world. Being called a Bee with an itch is a good thing when you are a dog!. She had long white beautiful hair, that seemed to flow in the wind. She had sparkly clear eyes and she had a wet black nose that just glistened in the sunlight. I'm sure her scent was enough to drive any stud crazy. Her tongue was a gorgeous victoria secret pink. Who could blame my boy?? I mean Victoria Secret. Come on! Just the mere mention of VS has many salivating. I couldn't really be upset with my boy.
The biggest humiliation came from Dash. He was bent over laughing. I thought he would pee himself. I can most definitely laugh at myself but I can only take so much. He was relentless. He kept giving me a play by play and was overly animated that it drew more attention to me! Yes, I would like to move on and forget this moment! Not, Dash, he would rather revel in this moment and recount the events and tell me over and over again how HULL LAREE OUS I looked. He wanted the news people to be there. He wanted it captured on film. He wanted to win the grand prize on Home Funniest Videos. Much to my chagrin, I know I would have won. Have any of you seen the video where the lady is on a beach and she is parasailing?? Remember her ending, she gets dragged through the sand and then realizes she is in the air and sprawls out like nothing happened?? That was kind of sorta me. And picture the boat as my dog!
I never laughed so hard in my life and I just youtubed it and found it and I am laughing so hard I can barely see! So, to my dear son, Dash. I can only imagine the sight you saw and you are forgiven. Santa will be coming this year! LOL, if you click on the link, it will bring you to the parasailing lady and you can really feel the moment like Dash and I!

Look at his MASSIVE muscles

His paws are GIGANTIC

His neck is IGNORMOUS

He likes to pretend he doesn't SEE me

BUT... If I say a juicy 5 letter word, He changes his tune.
T R E A T

He starts salivating like nobody's bizness

You called

P S Y C H E No, I don't play mean games like that. But, I think 'em.

He'll get over it!

....or maybe not.

TAG TAG TAG!

I have been tagged by Marriane! This is a fun tag because it's a no brainer. All you have to do is go to your pictures and open the 6th folder and show the 6th picture. I can do that! Here it is.

Look how young and how sweet! This was a big end of year for us! Dash, my baby had just graduated pre school and would embark on Kindergarten, Beauty, graduated from the 5th grade and would start her first year in Middle School. Warrior would start High School as a Freshman. What a year! Sweetheart was feeling a bit left out so I made her a hair bouquet and she was happy! Time goes so fast.
I have been tagged by Wonder Woman and Melinda.

I have to list 7 QUIRKS or random things about myself! Lawdy mercy, how can I just narrow it down to SEVEN! I have so many!

1. I don't like to be lightly brushed against or have my arms or body caressed. I hate that gentle touch. It totally bugs! If by chance someone brushes up against me and makes skin contact. I have to rub the feeling off.
2. When I sign my given name I have to put an exclamation point at the end, every time.
3. I do not let my lips wrap around a spoon. My spoon will never be clean.
4. The kitchen has to be CLEAN before I can cook or bake.
5. Unfolded clothes bug me in a store. Sometimes, I will refold shirts in a department store.
6. I can't drink straight from a cup at a restaurant. I need a straw.
7. If someone tells me I won't like a person, or speaks negative about a person I instantly make up my mind that I WILL LIKE that person. I automatically turn a deaf ear when people try to taint my opinion. I like to decide on my own and I like for each person to make or break their reputation by their dealings with me.

I am choosing not to tag anyone. I don't always follow rules. I look at rules as guidelines. NO, never means NO unless you have exhausted all other options. No, can always be over turned.

UTI- you UGLay!

UTI and yeah, I don't mean Universal Technical Istitute, either. I had never experienced a UTI, until after I turned 30. Some freakin' welcome to 20/10, huh?
I could feel the symptoms early Sunday morning. I love AZO! She has never let me down. I tried to deny the reality and ignored it. Got, to church said a few hail mary's and it got worse. Well, maybe because I'm not Catholic and hail mary's don't really work in the LDS religion. At that point though I was praying to about every God known to man.

I left church early to visit an Urgent Care and $50 later they confirmed what I already knew. They should really make this treatment an over the counter drug. I mean seriously, who wants to load up on antibiotics only to give themselves a yeast infection. NICE, huh? don't worry I don't have the latter. This UTI kicked my butt!

I was just wiped out! I went into work and came home early both days. I ran a fever and crashed for 3 days straight. I felt good enough and took a day trip to BOSTON! woohoo, that was fun. We left Thursday morning and came back Thursday night. I'll share pics of my trip, laterz.

Normal??

You Are 45% Normal

While some of your behavior is quite normal...
Other things you do are downright strange
You've got a little of your freak going on
But you mostly keep your weirdness to yourself

How Normal Are You? ummmm... yeah! I told ya I was different!
(is it the OCD, ADD, type A personality??)
You've got a little of your freak going on (Yeah baby, that's why Mr. Incredible is still wit me, but shhhhhhhh don't tell)
But you mostly keep your weirdness to yourself (probably not so much as I should)
Ok, so take the QUIZ and let me see what your scores are. Oh, I ranged from 55% to 45% normal. I took the quiz twice and gave you the lower score. I didn't want any FALSE pretenses going on!
How Normal Are You?

Tears of Wisdom

Hooray, Thursday was my last day of working for the week. It went great. Mr. Incredible held down the fort. (We always have each others back) We make such a good team. Children were fed and the house orderly. I had just finished working almost 40 hours in 3 days and in less than 5 hours sleep, I awoke to finish another 6 hour day. That's a lot of hours in a short time span.

I walked into each of my children's bedrooms and admired their beautiful sleeping bodies and oh how my heart ached. I had missed them so much. The last time I saw each of them awake was Monday Night, at family prayer. I was gone before they awoke each day and home after they went to bed. I would leave at 7am and get home at 11pm. The first time we saw each other again was Thursday afternoon. Only to gear up for 2 soccer practices and a JV football game.

No one complained through the week and everyone always sounded happy when I would call. I have been implementing the FlyLady. I did it years ago. I started blogging and needed to implement her schedule once again. I even have my children FLYING! This is a note I left for them. If you can make it a game they get it done.

Sweetheart came home and gave me an incredibly long hug. I love my afternoon greetings with all of the kids! I have a thing with each of them. Which can be found near the last paragraph of here, here, here and here. It is a special time of day. I think it is Sweetheart's most important time.
Sweetheart had asked about my work schedule. I told her I was thinking about working the same hours again. "OH, she replied' and then her little chin quivered and her body began to shake. Her tears moved me to tears. She told me she wants me home. I told her why I was working and she said she would rather have no Christmas than have me gone. She wants me home in the afternoon. OK, settled. no more doubles. I can still achieve the same hours and be home in the morning when they awake and in the afternoon after school. My working is purely optional and not a have to.

My babies need me and more importantly they miss me! I am never missed because I am ALWAYS HOME!! It's nice to be missed. For now, I will continue to rock my babies and be a presence in the home always. For one day my babies will leave and I will have all the time I need to reach personal goals. When I chose to have children. I chose to put their needs first. What I love is that all my babies know the importance of a mother in the home. I'm thankful that we live within our means and that our children ask for very little.

When I share the ages of my children with co-workers they never seem to understand about me only choosing to work one or two days a week. They tell me your children are older. They can take care of each other. Our children are under our charge. I didn't have children so that they could babysit one another. Some families do but it's not for our family. On occasion Warrior may have to run someone to practice or YW and Beauty may have to watch the little ones for an hour or two but nothing more.

These pics were taken 2 Easter's ago. ICK!! They are the most current of me with them. I guess I need to be in front of the camera more. NOT!

AIRPORT USAirways

Isn't my bag cute! I love that bag.
US Airways has captured me and kept me prisoner and away from my friends and family. I really like what I do for the most part. I like the challenge and dealing with different situations and people on a constant basis.

I have missed you all. I am choosing to work 48 hours in 4 days. I have been away because I have been at soccer practices and games as well as football games and taking pictures on Thursday and Friday nights. To say my schedule as been a little busy is an understatement. But, I love it. I took the summer off so that I could be with my kiddos. Now, I am ready to work. I do appreciate and like the ability to have a very flexible schedule. I can work as little or as much as I need to.

My goal this year to pay for all of Christmas out of my checks. I received another pay raise and we have been receiving $50 extra a month for customer service and on time departures, for the past 7 months! ( I work for US Airways express)
I am home when my children come home from school and in the mornings Mr. Incredible is with them until they hop on the bus.
It's a great time to pick up extra hours because its basically easy money right now. The weather is fair and offers its own problems but nothing terribly bad. Flights are not over sold and are fairly a light passenger load. Now, is a great time to travel.
Guess what?? I got to meet an Internet friend from my yahoo group. She was travelling through my city and had a small lay over. I happened to be working and we hung out for a bit! She was so fun and I absolutely love her!!! She does have a high profile job and travels a ton. I am still trying to convince her to start a blog!

ME ME ME

The Good, Bad and the Ugly!

I need to premise this thought with IT's ALL my mother's fault! She named me!!
I am SHOCKED at how accurate this name thing was! I mean dead on ACCURATE, even to the hidden flaws I thought I so meticulously covered.
Of course, I inserted my real name and then deleted it and added Mother Goose. I am still a little paranoid with all of this. Actually, I don't care if you all know my real name. I just care about my off spring. We have some serious wackos here. People at the airport call me by my first name and it always throws me off kilter. Then I remember I have my name plastered across my chest! But, its freaky and I'm very cautious of people. I do have a good read on people though, and I am rarely wrong with my first impressions! Like FREAKY never wrong. So, I do trust my intuition.

What Mother Goose Means

You are very open. You communicate well, and you connect with other people easily
You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind.
A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable. You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out. Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia. Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person. You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.

You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.

You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong.
You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know.
You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do.
You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.
You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.
You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.
You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life.
You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home.
You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.

You have the classic "Type A" personality.

Ideally, I can get along in the real world with everyone.(adaptable). But, resisting my real thoughts and feelings around people for a prolonged period of time. I need to retreat and go into my cave, energize and then I can come out to play nicely, again. I can do anything that I want to do and accomplish it. Yes, I can let my ideas get carried away. Then I am disappointed if I can not make it all happen. I am a perfectionist and I won't give up or accept it unless it is done to my satisfaction. I do not expect you to get on my frenzy, just to get out of the way and let me accomplish it. The only person I expect to help me with my frenzy is Mr. Incredible. (nice, huh?) I am a procrastinator. I do work well under pressure and do put off things until the end. I do bore easily. Once I have mastered it, I move on. I am high energy until it loses my interest. I do like to be away from home. I do not have to clean or do chores and traveling to random locations must mean my ability to get lost frequently. I'm impatient and have a low tolerance for mediocrity. I can pacify but don't ask me to sugar coat things for a prolonged period. There are very few grey areas for me. Most things are black and white. I am a good debater. I can argue anything and get you to see my point of view. I avoid confrontation by ignoring it and running away from it. But when backed in a corner I come out fighting like a lioness. But, ummm... don't mess with my goslings or you will open a whole can of WHOOP #$#. Mama Goose turns into a rabid Mama bear.

I plugged each one of my family members name in and we are all TYPE A personalities! Surprise, surprise! NOT!

TRIP BACK IN TIME!!!

WARNING: Please empty your bladder before proceeding to view::
and do not go here unless you are vain and have time to kill.
I found this link off of Mindi's blog. I put in a ton of knee slappin' pictures and I hope you enjoy them as much as my family does! LOL

1990
I really did have hair like this in high school. Remember getting out the blow dryer and using an entire can of aqua net hair spray, because aqua net was the closest thing that resembled liquid starch in a sprayer? And my hair was that color too, I used a whole bottle of SunIn, thinking if I made my hair blonde which turned to bozo brass orange people might take me for WHITE! LOL, ignorant I know!

1994 Yeah, I never ever permed my hair but this pic reminds me of the Tongan singing group The Jets. Remember them?? Sing it with me:: que music:: "you found out, I got a crush on you." This just SCREAMS eighties to me.

1968 Ok, I am really digging this year. I can't tell if I like the hair cut or that I look extremely THIN and I have a gorgeous GIRAFFE neck! I'm doing flips over this one with my flippy hair!

1966 Ok, I have paid for worse hairdos than this!

1950 verge of a laugh but not ghastly. I can feel a little June Cleaver and Mrs. Cunningham oozing around in the tight pinwheel curls. Ok, this is funny.

I must request that you put your drinks down and swallow remove anything you may have in your mouth. I do not want to be responsible for anyone choking and causing the first related death by blogging.

1964 HEY, I threw in a WINK for ya! You know I'm sexy! This reminds me of the Saturday Night Live's Church lady!

1960, to this day I still have issues with my glasses sitting correctly on my honker!
roflrofl this pic is killin'!!

But please wait... I have just two more!!! OH lawdy marcy what the heck is in that rats nest up on top?? And holy toledo batman how many pounds have I just gained?
1962

I think I would like to revisit 1968 please, and give me back my twiggy body!
Oh much better!

I did save the best for last in my humble opinion. It gives me night mares. Me, no likey. But, I do like how it instills fits of laughter around here and how my children are none too kind. I like how I can hear those precious belly laughs and the plea of neighborhood kids pounding at my door begging to see what my children are talking about. This is the most hideous hairdo and picture! I just had to share it with you all and I hope you click here and share in the fun too.

R U Ready??

R U sure?

WAIT FOR IT!!!

I will consider myself thanked for the stomache workout I just gave you. I will expect a check in the mail!

1986 BOO I mean scary BOO not somebody's Boo.

4 count them FOUR Meme's

Why 4, well haven't you realized it's ALL ABOUT ME!,
I found this on Devri's blog as well as Merrianne's. I thought I would play along.

You Belong in 1983

Wild, over the top, and just a little bit cheesy. You're colorful at night - and successful during the day.

You Are a Red Velvet Cake

Rich, decadent, and sensual.

You have a deep appeal that transcends all trends.

You are the definition of passion: intense, adventurous, and seductive.

Mr. Incredible took the test! Yes, he will take an occassional test for me if I beg plead and make illicit sweet promises for later.
He is strawberry cake! Lucky for him I love ALL CAKE!

You Are Strawberry Cake

Fresh, sassy, and romantic.

You're a total flirt, who never would turn down a sugary treat.

Occasionally you're a bit moody - but you usually stay sweet!

I'm a Chevrolet Corvette!

You're a classic - powerful, athletic, and competitive. You're all about winning the race and getting the job done. While you have a practical everyday side, you get wild when anyone pushes your pedal. You hate to lose, but you hardly ever do.
