Sweetheart, her middle name means Diamond from heaven in Hawaiian. She truly is one of the most precious gem stones to be had. She fills our home with joy and laughter and is the child that you go to if you want something done, with no complaints. We have to be careful that we don't go to her to do things just because we know we will not get a hassle. She has the carefree, OH well, such is life kind of attitude. She is a bit shy at first but is not afraid to attempt something. She will try it, even if she cant do it perfectly. She has the great gift to be able to laugh at herself and to laugh with others. Sweetheart, went to Hawaii when she was two years old and has insisted on being called her middle name, ever since. All of the children have Hawaiian middle names. If they choose to be called by their Hawaiian names it is up to them. She has lots of attitude and spunk and definitely is a tough strong girl with sensitive feelings. I love how loving and kind she is. She always seems to stick up for the underdog and at times can seem to be a bit self-righteous especially if she thinks what you are doing is wrong. An Autistic boy was in her class last year and she always stood up for him and let children know that it was not nice to make fun of him. He is in Sweetheart's class again this year because he wanted to go with her. He always tugs her hair when it is in a pony tail and tell her she has a bump in her hair. She never tires to tell him, "It's in a pony tail, Isaac". She doesn't like injustice. She had some of the most amazing coaches last year for soccer. They were so patient with her and encouraging. Some days at practice she wouldn't run or do the drills and it would send her daddy and I in absolute livid fits! (we aren't going to pay that much money to watch her twiddle across the field) Her coaches ever encouraging and lovers of the game, brought a shy insecure girl out of her shell to make her self confident and a HAUS on the soccer fields. Sadly, this year we are without her same coaches but her spirit and love of the sport has kept her playing! She truly enjoys soccer. She plays the entire game and is winded at times. Sweetheart, has already scored a goal and has many assists with her team. They are 5 and 1! So, they are proving to have a very successful year as well! Sweetheart's coach wants them to go on and play indoor soccer for the winter. She has the most infectious laugh.
One of the things I love about Sweetheart is she is my lil'me. She always asks me if she can get me a drink or bring me something. She is easy going and very flexible with plans. Having her lay next to me in bed or on the couch, is one of the most soothing things to me. I can feel the stresses of the day fade away and peace come to my soul. It's our thing when she comes home from school. She is so comical. I can find humor, laughter and joy just thinking of her!
