Ok, so it is time to eat. WE ate a little after 1pm. The food kept coming and coming. WE had Turkey, but of course, gravy, rolls, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, well the casserole, green bean casserole, corn, stuffed celery with peanutbutter and cream cheese, olives, pickles, deviled eggs, dressing, a fruit compode and it covered a long table and all of the counters in my kitchen. We had 9 pies! 2 pecan pies, 2 pumpkin pies, apple pie, apple crumb pie, and a blueberry pie. Each of these pies were all made homemade. GUESS what? Not a single picture of these beautiful most delicious pies! It is the day after and we only have 3 pies left! We had 2 huge tubs of cool whip, poppyseed bread, cupcakes, and cake! I heard the average person gains 5 to 7 pounds over the holiday season! WELL if you happen to be SOLOMON we decided that the average SOLOMON gains 5 to 7 pounds PER holiday or each time we all get together! What would the remedy be? either move closer, or not get together. I think we should just ditch the latter. The food was yummy and we stuff ourselves so badly one day a year, is probably why I NEVER want to lay eyes on another Thanksgiving meal for another YEAR! In the words of Martha Stewart, "It's a Good Thing." The children's table was set and so was the adult table we had china and goblet glasses for the adults and the children ate on our every day dinner plates with fancy "plastic" goblets which the stems lit up. These were compliments of Ernst&Young from last years Christmas company party.
