GO PANTHERS......(we live in NC but we don't cheer the panthers)

Dash was asked by his friend Amir to spend the night saturday night with him. Normally, we do not allow our children to spend the night at friends homes on Saturdays. However, I said that Dash could spend the night with his friend at his house and we would pick him up at noon so he could go to church. Jaime, Amir's mom had said that their family has season tickets to the Panthers but they have been unable to attend any games because of their busy schedules and Sunday they would be going to the game and had an extra seat for Dash. Not to mention they were playing against the 49ers and this could be their only chance at WINNING. It is very rare that our family will go, let alone pay for pro football tickets. Heck, Mr. Incredible is an assistant coach for high school and I think it was purely motivational so that our ENTIRE family could attend the games for free. ::seriously:: Anyways, at $5 a head, for a football game. I am thankful that Mr. Incredible does coach, because multiply that over the season and it is a shiny dime or two. I conceded and allowed Aden to spend the night with his friend and go to the football game. Dash's two biggest dreams are to attend a professional football game and a professional baseball game. He would love to see the Yankees and the Braves, and the Mets play. Having my mommy goggles and ears on, and being a frugal tight wad all I saw was an opportunity to make one of these things happen for him and it would cost us zero. (Oh, I should add that Amir, is the brother of Kira, who brought Sweetheart to the Hannah Montana show). Isn't it funny how the Lord answers frivolous prayers? I want everything for my children. I want their deepest desires to come true and I will try my best to make it happen for them. Some things may never happen but at least they would know that their parents were behind them supporting and helping them. The only way that we go to any type of professional game is because we are given free tickets, either through work or friends. We could probably afford it. If we chose to put our money there, but there are so many other things to spend our money on. Like, food, gas, heat etc. LOL) I am thankful that our children's deepest frivolous desires at the close of this year have come true for them. I am thankful that they have such generous friends and good friends. I am thankful that my children can be examples to their friends and share with them what they believe. I am thankful that my children are grateful and see the blessings that they have and the blessings that come to them. I am thankful. I will post pictures later!
