Christmas Day, oh what a day!! What a way to wake up and see a blanket of white snow! WE had a fresh heavy snow. It was beautiful. It looked like something out of the movies. I believe I heard Santa leaving our roof top at about 4am. The children did not wake until 8am. They were so exhausted from all the partying. They awoke and were so excited to go running down the stairs to see what goodies were left to them. This year, instead of having them wait anxiously at the top of the stairs until I am set up with the video camera and digital camera; I decided to just let them have at it and we would not document this year. (Watch this year, be the year that our children said they got nothing for Christmas) Nahh, they wouldn't do that! But just in case, I have this blog. Warrior has decided that he is changing his entire wardrobe from urban, big shirts, saggy pants to become the Abercombie&Fitch model or the American Eagle poster boy. He announced that he wanted such clothing like Holister or the look of. So, this of course made his mom, whistle Dixie! All of his clothes did not come from these stores but most definitely the style was there. He also said he wanted to give it his own little twist. So, can we be urban preppy?? He looks so good in jeans that fit him and shirts that show his muscles off! He is a big boy. He also received the new air Jordan Nike's that were on pre order, and a HOT PICK UP TRUCK! This truck needs a post of its own. So, I won't go into any further detail. He received a truck. That was the majority of his Christmas. He has his own debit card account. It is not linked to our account but we have the capabilities of checking how much money he is spending, an email will come to us if anything of adult nature is purchased, and we can add money to his account and limit how much money he is allowed to spend. It is his own account. He will be responsible for balancing and he can deposit his checks into this. He can take money out at any ATM and use this card like a debit/charge card. Because of his previous gifts we started him off with $250.00. Beauty asked for a new phone. She got the Rumor. This is a pretty fancy phone. Sadly, it was on back order so the new phone that was in her stocking was the Upstage. Sprint said she could keep this phone for 30 days and trade it out for the Rumor when it comes in. She received a lot of clothes, jewelery and perfume and 3 jackets and the same debit card. Her card had $500.00 on it. (Warrior wasn't too happy until we reminded him of the pick up truck, in NC. Sweetheart and Dash well they received everything they asked for. Dash wanted Heely's, timberland's, clothes, PSP, and a remote control car, a few games for Wii and robotron, a spider man hover and too many other cool things that I have already forgotten. He loves Pokemon cards. I like them too because he has learned how to add and subtract so quickly. He needs to add and subtract points in order to play. My brothers and sister and cousins and parents pretty much took care of his wish list. Beauty, got this cool MP3 player and it plays movies too, clothes, DS games, Dreamstar, a life size bubble gum machine, Build a Bear things, and clothes, webkinz, board games, nail polish manicure set, with a nail dryer. The children rarely are inside playing or watching TV so these hand held electronics are perfect for when we travel in the car or are flying on the plane. Dash and Sweetheart unwrapped their gifts but once breakfast was eaten they quickly changed their clothes to go out and ride the snowmobiles that were beckoning them. They didn't play with many of their gifts until we got home. My parents have 5 snowmobiles for everyone to ride. They are fast but our children have been on motorized vehicles since they could walk. They would ride the snowmobiles for as long as they could as often as they could. I grew up with 3 wheelers, dirt bikes, go carts. They were safe and knew all the rules. I took the easy way out for my gifts. Everyone got visa cards. I like these better than store cards because they can use a visa at ANY store. Nieces and Nephews got $50 cards. It was easy to pack and wrap. My sister gave each of my children $50. I want this to be a tradition. I brought all of the cousins out 2 days after Christmas so that they could spend their loot! They had so much fun and got so much for their money! I love after Christmas sales. I want to do this next year! I loved taking my niece and nephew out with my children and everyone got along so well! I love them. I had so much fun with them and they get along so well with each other. It was sad for everyone because our time was coming to an end.

umm...wow. you all spend more on one kid than we do on all 6!!!!!
Everything is relative. Christmas is a big deal for my side of the family. We have a Christmas account that can be set up just for funds to be put aside. The trick is not to dip into it. The first 2 were spoiled and it was quantity over quality. Kai asked for 5 things this year and it totalled less than $125.00. So, anything over those 5 things were just icing on the cake to her. Aden asked for 5 things as well but they were higher ticket items, psp, timberlands, heelys and remote control car. The younger 2 have been conditioned to think about what they buy. If they think they will give it away, throw it away or break in 6 months than they rarely ask for it. I like that they think of the longevity of an item.
