I might as well start from today and work my way backwards with our holiday. We are finally back and I have been cleaning, organizing and RELAXING for the past 2 days. In the past 2 days my dork son, aka WArrior managed to get a speeding ticket and lock himself out of his truck that he received for Christmas. Last night, Spencer went to YM for church. He called and asked if he could stay after 9pm with the other ward. He wanted to play basketball with them. 40 minutes later he calls and he gets a speeding ticket. 52 in a 35. Of course, he has every excuse why it wasn't his fault. The road that he was on is 55 miles per hour, however, once you pass a certain intersection it drops to 35. GOTCHA! $75 ticket ughh.... Tonight, Warrior drove Beauty to a basketball game for middle school. He stayed to watch as well. Mr. Incredible is on his way to the Stake Center to play men's basketball but has to turn around because Warrior locks the keys in the truck. They come home to pick the spare key up only to find out that the spare does NOT work! Just tack the locksmith cost of $55. So, cost of a speeing ticket-$75, cost of lock smith-$55, cost of my son's face, when I tell him I will take payment out with his hair cut - priceless! Noooooo...... He pulls money out of his wallet to cover his damages. I do not want his Christmas money. I want to see his hair hit the floor! NO thanks, to his Uncle Steve. Warrior is convinced that his Uncle Steve loves his hair. He said, "Mom, why would uncle Steve talk with me, just me at the table and say he really likes my hair! He is so into his hair and saying it is his heritage. EVEN the football players at school are encouraging him. They are all doing the Haka and watching the hawaiian warrior chant! His hair really bugs me. However, in defense of my son, he is his mother's son. I received 3 speeding tickets within a short period of time, after getting my drivers license and have locked myself out of my car a few too many times. In fact, the vehicle I drive now is a keyless entry. I never have to worry about locking my keys in the car.

SPENCER!!! cut your hair. When you see a prophet wear his hair long, then it is appropriate. Women in Africa don't wear shirts, so if they are in the U.S. and members of the church should they not wear garments or SHIRTS because of their heritage?
I have been having a hair fight with my boys, too. they are shaggy dogs and I let them stay that way all through xmas break, but guess where we are going tomorrow? Uh huh, the barber!

Thanks Alison, I know my blog has been lacking something fierce. Cynthia, yes, we did have a good and very busy holiday season this year. I see you had a great one too. I need spencer to just get his hair trimmed or styled. I don't mind his hair so much as it just needs to be styled. WE also go by the FTSOY book and during our tithing settlement I tried to get the Bishop to side with me on convincing him to cut his hair. The bishop said he liked it and it is still at the collar.
Too funny! I believe if a prophet could get their hair to grow at all they would be happy and it would be longer, but they are saving themselves the embarrassment of a comb over. LOL! He will point out many prophets of old with long hair. Why did they have long hair and beards? Because of tradition and heritage. Not because they didn't have the means to cut their hair. I know that you are trying to help. I WANT IT SHAPED and CUT too!! If I really wanted it cut, it would be cut. However, it is acceptable in the church and in the polynesian culture to even have body tatoos. It is a ritual and an honor when bestowed among certain Samoan's. Also, they can wear there custom clothing to church both here in the states and in Tonga or Samoa. The men wear "skirts" or sarongs. He wants to cut his hair when he is a senior before his mission! I don't believe it will go that long. I am just hoping his hair is my biggest battle to contend with.
Spencer is so good looking he could wear his hair any way he wanted and still be a hot catch. He looks like a professional football player....I'm sure the girls are talking about how hot he is!!!
this is spencer lol im on cause my mom is asleep shhhh!..... well ya i understand about my hair i just want it till football is over next yearthen off it goes and its all about a mission lol and i keep it out of my face and everything so that is how i get by with my dad that is probably the only other reason its still long because he is on my side... and thanx aunt gretchen lol.... and not bragging but yep they talk about it lol ....
