Happy Birthday Sweetheart!

Sweetheart requested a funfetti cake for her birthday. I wanted to make this an extra special cute cake but time got away from me. I figured it was best just to ensure you had a cake on your birthday than being late and no cake!

Today is Sweetheart's 10th birthday. She has had a great day. We woke up this morning and we had YM/YW's youth basketball to go to. Everyone sang happy birthday and we had eaten her birthday cookies. Sweetheart, is not a huge fan of cake. She will eat it, though. We will be going to Nakato's to celebrate her birthday dinner. She loves that place. She likes how they cook in front of you.

She is 10 years old. Time just seems to go by so fast. I have had such precious and wonderful memories because she has been in my life. I am so blessed by her. She is such an intricate part of our family. She balances us and is a caregiver and the one who can always makes us laugh or who is there wanting a hug. She does things willingly. Just ask her once and she obeys. She is obedient.

Obedience can be such a wonderful talent and gift and at times it can be a hinderance too. Because she obeys and always wants to please and make others happy sometimes she puts herself last and her wants go to the side. I think this is why we are so willing to dote on her whatever her heart desires. She is always so conscious of money and how it may put another person out. These are the qualities that pull at her mom and dad's heartstrings that compel us to do what it takes to make her deepest desires and wishes come true.
