A KID again

Remember that commercial where the mom and daughter go to Disney and as the mom walks past the window she transforms to a child. Meaning kid at heart. A friend of mine called and asked if we could have a play date? A what? A play date with no children. I was completely on board with that. This is what we did. We went to carowinds and rode every adult ride.
DROPZONE is definitely one of my rides of choice. It scares me. I can not control my emotions or breath. I always have to ride it again and again, with my failed attempts to master my body. I highly recommend a visit to the restrooms before you experience this ride.

Click here to see the rides. It was so much and we topped the day off with funnel cakes. (eyes rolling to the back of my head, good). WE did not ride Thunder Road and Xtreme Skyflyer because Thunder Road is under renovations and Skyflyer cost extra money. WE also rode on the family rides, found here. The super soaker and white waterfalls was F - U - N ! with a capital F. The water section is a blast but we stuck with all of the rides and we will do the water section with the children next week! Thanks for so much fun! I felt like a kid again.

The more I check your blog the more I like you, I wish we lived closer so I could go on adult rides with ya, my husband might be Tongan, but he is a whimp when it comes to the scary rides, and btw, you are good women for taking the dog in, we had a dog, we just sold it on craigslist, nobody took care of it, and funny thing, my husband looked at your blog and read about your huge dog, and he laughed and said, hmmm- wonder if she wants to sell her dog, I'm hungry.. ok not so funny, you know those tongans, eating everything...

That is so fun! I love grown up playdates. It's always good to do something that makes us feel alive!

I LOVE my "playdates" with my girlfriends. When I come home my cheeks hurt and so does my wallet! But it's so much fun. I don't think I could've lasted the rides though. Getting on swings at the park make me motion sick. I hear that comes with age.

Does this mean I can't be a kid at heart?

That sounds like so much dang fun! We went to Lagoon on Friday, but had 4 adults and 6 kids, it was a lot of fun. I was the adult that took the kids on rides and was so glad that this year they were tall enough to do the fun ones. Connor was a champ and rode the Colossus 4 times.
The books I'm reading are the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, they are good, sometimes slow but a warning I'd have to rate them an R.
Glad you had so much fun, You'd be a great person to have a playdate like that with!
