This sweet girl chose to be baptized last week. She has been attending our church for some time and went to Youth Conference. She was introduced to the Gospel by this young man. He has been a good example to her and even though quiet, he excels in soccer and is class valedictorian. Smart, athletic and a good missionary. I have both of them for Sunday School.
It was beautiful to be a part of this girls special day. She was "golden". I am so happy for her. Our church building has well water and something is going on with the filter. I felt sad for her, she was the only one in her family who chose to be baptized. We had investigators there as well. Her heart had the right spirit. She said,"I'm going in clean and coming out dirty.(sorta) She felt wonderful after. She is so sweet. I was just basking in her joy after her baptism. She will always remember this special day.
Dash will be baptized next week. I am not looking forward to him being in this water.
Sunday after church we brought home this little man! He and Warrior have always had a special bond. He adores Warrior. However, he spent most of his time with Dash and Sweetheart. He fit right in with the rest of us. He would tell my goslings that they were his Big brother or Sister. I was mom and Mr. Incredible was dad. It was fun having a young one in the house again. Dash, makes a wonderful big brother. He spent the night. The next day I got to watch his baby brother for a few hours.
Warrior gave him a ride in his pick up truck that had a DVD player in it and loud speakers. He thought it was a blast and wanted to go FAST! I guess driving in a standard feels fast. Or maybe, it's Warriors shifting capabilities. LOL
you can kind of see the TV screen

I have the hots for Warrior. Don't tell Todd. ;)
How awesome that you have been able to follow this sweet girl's conversion - congrats to her!! And good luck with baptism prep - hope they can do something about the water by then??? Congrats Dash on such a big step!!
I love stories like that. It melts my heart when they are getting baptized for all the right reasons even if the water is dirty. And it looks really not inviting for sure.
I am sorta with red. He is so darn cute. That warrior. I can see why the boy is intriqued. Such a great picture of his new pal. Love it.
Let us know how the baptism goes. Yeah.
I guess getting baptized is getting baptized no matter where or what kind of water it's in. Sean told me a funny story of a baptism on his mission that made me laugh. They had to bribe the mayor to send the fire dept up with a pumper truck to get water from the river to the baptismal font the day before, then the day of they went there and there were at least 30 frogs in it, so one of the missionaries got in butt naked to get the frogs out (it wasn't his baptism so he didn't get in with his clothes on), not many people could say they've been skinny dipping in a baptismal font.
I love those pictures of warrior in his truck with that cute little man. He is darling. They both are.. hehehe. Warrior has a sweet ride man!
I am leaving you with a memory anyway even though you said not to. Getting to know you over the computer was way fun, always laughing my butt off at your posts (too bad I still have so much of it left, my butt, you know). Of course our late night phone calls and laughing until the wee hours of the morning with you. Thinking of how sweet you were when your friend moved out here and you had us meet so she would have a friend out here (I was horrible and have not kept in touch with her at all, I'm sorry) You sent me flowers to say thank you. Meeting you for the first time, I was nervous too cause it's always different meeting someone in person even if you've been friends for a long time. I'm so happy we are friends, I think you are so awesome, you never fail to make me laugh!
ROFL, that was really long, I could have split that all up and left you a million comments.
Wow!! That water is nasty...That is sweet about her baptism story. I love it. Are they dating or just friends?
I can't believe dash will be getting baptized too. Is is already time?
Thanks for the sweet comments about school on my blog...you made me cry then laugh...turn around...every now and then I fall apart!
S. is so cute with that little man. Miss you guys.
I think Reds comment is SOOOO funny! Seeing how Rachel and Warrior went to prom I better not echo that!
That water.... wow! Well, my guess is the last person was mighty sinful and left a LOT of dirt! Just kidding, hope the filter works SOON!!!
Okay, in all seriousness, congratulations on the baptism. She looks like a sweetheart!
You are so sweet to let this cute little boy sleep over. Looks like you all gave him a super fun night!
That is beautiful- the baptism, not the water, good thing no matter what water their in, the outcome is still the same. Our father in heaven had a big smile on his face that day, and probably a good laugh too. Congrats Dash- I will pray for a clean water, just so I don't have to look at that photo again.. he he..
ps, dumb question, I tried cleaning my lens with my breath and then a cloth, just smears now, how do you really clean a lens? I would look on computer, but that would take away my blogging time.
Red cracks me up! But he is DANG handsome! oh, baby!
That is so cool about the baptism... what a good YM he is! I bet they love having your for their SS teacher!!!
you all are so funny about Warrior. He is kind of beefy. G, we are all so sad that you won't be able to come for Dash's baptism. majorly bummed! He will be baptized on Saturday.
this happens to the fonts in australia too.. Atleast 3 wards i have been too have water that colour... I think we dont baptise enough .. heee heee that the pipes go yuck...
man, maybe you could have dash baptized elsewhere? i have seen people baptized in the ocean, a river, and even a hot tub once! guess what? we have a private well and we dug deep...and my water looks like that every time i fill my bath tub!!! i'm just used to it. whatever is in that water is really good for my skin. how weird is that? your son is so good-looking and so sweet. YIKES!! BIKES!!
I guess it is better than getting baptized in a river...maybe...slightly.
