WARRIOR's GRADUATION

Warrior was worried he wouldn't have a lot of leis. He had candy leis, money leis and flower leis. I think he had plenty of leis. He recieved leis from ohana in Hawaii and in Florida as well as NY and NC. What a great time.

Life has been a whirlwind. The last day of school, elementary graduation, High School graduation, parties and family visiting, along with a big youth conference trip to Palmyra.
:: phew::
Sweetheart had her graduation ceremony and we all went and cheered and celebrated.

Graduation for Warrior was on Friday, June 12th. We had the entire first row filled and we were cheering away. Everyone was very respectable and honorable when it came to hearing their child's name announced.

I like that they gave parents, friends and relatives the opportunity to cheer loudly and frantically at the beginning when they walked through the collisium. The ceremonies began.

The ceremony took an hour. ONE GLORIOUS HOUR, no long boring valedictorian speeches. They were great. Warrior graduated from a high school that was split his junior year to 5 smaller schools under one main name. (effort to receive more money from the government). WE heard 5 wonderful 5 minute valedictorian talks. Then from each school the names of the students were read as they walked across. We cheered loudly, proudly and respectfully. All awards, grants and scholarships were given earlier in a school assembly.

All of the Solomon cousins were able to watch their Warrior walk the stage. It was great to see his grandparents, aunts and uncles cheer for him.

WE will be there for each of their graduations too. One of my brothers and cousin was also able to be there for graduation. SO SAD, SO SAD!! I had messed the graduation date up when telling my family. It was a very last minute catch. I told everyone he GRADUATATED on SATURDAY!!! It was really Friday night. We were bummed they couldn't be there. They made plans to arrive on Saturday. DARN IT!!
Receiving his diploma (a tissue moment)

But, everyone was there for our Saturday celebrations. Warrior had limited invitations to send out. He hand picked who the graduation cards would be sent to. He had 50. So, if you were one of the 50 who received a graduation announcement, you truly made an impact or a memory in his life. Thank you to each of you who received one. If you did not receive one it is because we didn't have your address and just didn't have enough to send out.

Family and friends have been so generous in their gift giving to Warrior. He will be starting out college with a good foot and looking well dressed.

My mom and dad has done so much for Warrior and for our family, our hearts are filled with gratitude and joy and are so thankful for all that they have done for us during this time as well as everyone's thoughts and prayers.

Our support and foundation have been the gospel and family. What two wonderful rocks to be between!
We had a graduation party for Warrior. Family were invited we only invited a handful personally and Mr. Incredible thought it would be nice to put out an invite to the ward. We weren't planning on ward members to show. We knew Warrior would want to leave and attend his friends farewells also. Warrior graced us long enough to say the blessing on the food and then he returned when it was time to close it down. We closed up shop right at 7pm so we could get on a GOOD GAME of BALL in the gym. It worked out perfect.

Definitely think he was being paranoid about the leis...don't ever think I've seen more at ANY one given graduation...even when there was more than one Polynesian graduating. :)
