One week after school was out, the girls had Girls Camp. Much scrambling was done to gather all the things needed for them to have an enjoyable time. It was an amazing experience for them. They had a great time. It was Sweetheart's first time for camp. I figured everything would be ok for her because she was going with Beauty. I had forgotten that Sweetheart is the girl who always has sleep overs at our home, and rarely spends the night away from us. I also forgot that she doesn't handle confrontation well at all. She experienced some feelings of home sick and we had to send her inhaler. Being homesick toppled with some hurt feelings and small kine drama called for a blessing. ::Sigh:: Then Mr. Incredible spent one night at camp with the girls, we rotate priesthood leaders through our ward. That made things nice but worse. Beauty had an amazing time, she fortified great friendships and made new friends too. Sweetheart ran into a picnic table, needed a doctor and her knew swelled a lot, so much that she had trouble putting her sneaker on the next day. Called for another blessing. Thankfully they were coming home the next day!
GIRLS CAMP was a success and is over with.
During the time of Girls Camp I flew to NC to throw in some work hours. It was so good seeing all my co-workers again. I really missed them. I also missed being there. It was a challenge to remember everything the first shift I pulled but quickly fell into it again by the third shift. I worked I worked 4 shifts in 3 days. The summer thunderstorms were enough for me to call it quits, get someone to work my shift and fly home a day early! UGH!!! never again, will I work two nights! It was hot and humid and I worked a 3 shifts in a row on a double gate that had 5 gates out of ONE DOOR!! Basically, it was hot as hell and it felt like hell too. The airport is under construction and until they get the new gates built, there will be 5 to 6 gates out of one door! Makes for very confused passengers and very upset crew wondering why they are not the first onese to be boarded and pushed off from the gate!
Warrior and Dash held the house down. Actually, when I arrived it looked like nothing was held down and perhaps we experienced a tornado while I was out of town. I've been playing catch up with all of my laundry, the camp laundry and the house laundry. In the mean time, it has been
Cubscout camp for Dash! He is loving it and has been alternating spending the night at a boys house from church and he at our house!
Warrior has been busy getting his wisdom teeth out. The day he came home from surgery he was a bit loopy but it did not take any of his hunger away. He ate a full on meal 3 hours later. He has been eating ever since and you would never know he even had his wisdom teeth. They have healed so well. THANKFULLY, all paperwork has finally been submitted to Salt Lake and now we play the waiting Game.
Tomorrow, the youth have a temple trip. The Mr. and I and all of our children except for Dash will be headed to the temple! That will be so exciting for me! I can't wait to be in the temple with most of my children!! The ward will have their temple trip on Saturday. I'm also making the children wake at 6am to pick blueberries which they have groaned and moaned about. But, they definitely like to eat blueberries by the handful. I hope they have a better appreciation for each berry.
I have not been blogging because I literally have 20 projects that I have started and have not finished one of them!
PROJECT ONE
1. Paint compass on my foyer wall. (all of this is completed minus the E for SouthEast
2. Paint the foyer ceiling an old world technique (all supplies are bought, I just have to do it)
3. Paint Dash's room. He's hates the balerina sleepover wall border. (I have painted the bottom half of the chair rail, blue, He loves it. (still have to peel the border paper off and paint the top half green) It's going to look so cute when it's done.
4. Finish painting kids bathroom. I have the bottom half painted. (Need to buy green paint for top half) and peel wall border off, also. Shower curtain and rug are up.
5. Sweetheart's room is almost done. (have to purchase eggplant paint and make a stencil of her bedding on 4 blank canvas' for wall decorations.
6. Beauty's room needs to be painted completely.
7. Need to re-matt the picture frames in my dining room. Pictures are up.
8. Hung drapes in dining room, need to do a sewing technique to bottom of drapes. They look like they are high waters and expecting a flood in my dining room.
9. Need to finish laundry room, I have everything. I need to hang them.
10. Need to hang the old windows that I got from a salvage in the hallway and print pictures to go in them.
11. Need to order VINYL lettering for my wall vignet in the main hallway.
12. Need to hang all of the children's blessing outfitts in the main hallway! (I'm so excited for this part!
13. I have started to clear out basement. (we are going to finish the basement)
14. I purchased a pool on craigslist. (it still lays like scrap metal in my yard)
15. I am planning an 80's party for about 60 people. (gathering party supplies)
16. Thinking about throwing a surprise party for the MR's birthday, but I don't think it's going to happen. It's in two weeks.
17. I have a settee and two very old chairs in my garage that I plan on refinishing and recovering.
18. I have an end table that is waiting for a painting technique
19. I have an office that is waiting for a make over
20. I need to decide: Do I re paint my bedroom? and keep my comforter or do I keep the paint and look for material or new bedding. (actually, I am on the hunt for the perfect material and I plan to make my own bedding complete with pin pillows and ruffle pillows)
My mind is thinking about all of these projects at the same time. I work on each project about 10 minutes a day, or think about them at least twice a day. I'm setting goals to have them done by the start of the school year. HA!! ....right.
Beauty has been driving quite a bit. Let's just say she is a good driver but if you ever need to tell her anything, she gets a bit grumpy. An emotional driver behind the wheel is not good. How can a driver know everything but not execute it??? I am no longer sitting in the passenger seat. I have relinquished that privillege to Mr. Incredible and saving our relationship! and to quote one of my favorite movies. How to lose a guy in 10 days. I love you Bennie but right now I just don't like you!
The girls and I have a lot of good days shopping with each other. Usually those days are I am the personal shopper. I pull things of the rack and they say yes or no to them. I AM NOT A PERSONAL SHOPPER! If they know what they like, then they will choose it or we go home without any clothes, and I'm quite ok with that.
Oh we both had callings in church and they will be changed next week. I need to start blogging again! But with our extremely SLOW internet service it is really making blogging NOT FUN!!! Notice the lack of pictures?? I'm not getting charged for the amount of uploads. It has cost us over $200 extra. So no pics for now. SORRY!
There are two little frustrations in my end of the woods. I haven't learned how to be effective in those areas, that is why they are frustrating. But, I know the answers will come.

Oh my gosh, I'm so tired after reading your to-do list!! You have so much energy!!!!
That's a whole lot to take on, it's probably a good think you can't be on line too much! All the changes sound fabulous, you'll have to find a way to do pictures when you're finished...but WOW on the extra $$ for uploads, didn't even realize there were still places you could be charged for that! :) Hope you find a way to enjoy the summer and your time with Warrior. Can't wait to hear what happens when the papers come to you guys.
You are seriously one busy woman!!!
You are seriously one busy woman!!!
Sounds ca-RA-zy!!!! But fun! All your projects will be fun and make your home your own once they're finished. I hope you get the charge for uploads thing taken care of -- I want to see pics!
SHEESH I WAS PUMPING THE BREAKS TO SLOW DOWN WHILE I WAS READING THIS... THE SUMMER JUST BEGUN AND YOUR FAMILY HAS ALREADY DONE A TON OF STUFFS!
I refuse to sit in the passenger seat too. I get too much anxiety and can't handle it. And teenaged girls are the GRUMPIEST behind the wheel! My son just got his permit and his daddy has to be the one to teach him. I just can't do it, my heart can't take the stress.
As for your to do list? Wow. I feel like a slug after reading yours. I feel accomplished just for oiling all the wood furniture today and cleaning the kitchen. I'd be far too overwhelmed with your list! I have a list of things to do EACH DAY and beyond that I'm toast. lol You are amazing!!!
I luv your life cause you make time for the essential and important things along with time for the fun and nice!!
You'll get it all done...just not in one day!
good to hear from you again.
Whew, I'm tired just reading your list-you're busy! This week has not been busy, that doesn't mean there isnt a lot of things that needs to get done, I'm just feeling burnt out being extremely busy the past 2 months and I just need a breather.
Don't work too hard and take a day off here and there, I learned the hard way!
Don't you realize that summer is a time for relaxing? Hahaha! ;) Hope you have fun accomplishing all your awesome goals this summer!
Gosh your are really busy! Your project list compares to mine. I am working on curtains, vinyl lettering and painting a few pieces of furniture.
