When they go hunting in our back yard, all the boys go. Even Kekoa has his moment of victory. Kekoa is not interested in deer at all. He doesn't care for the smell of blood or the sight of raw meat. He prefers his meat cooked, and so do I.
Mr. Incredible has bow hunted before many times and this year we have 3 or 4 deer that has been processed for the year in our fridge! When deer meat is processed correctly you will have no taste of wild or an inclination that you are eating anything other than beef except it is less fatty and much better for you!
Dash has a hunting bow as well. I know this little deer was just a yearling but Dash was happy to help clean it completely and you know what? He eats up just as good as a larger deer and possibly a bit more tender. Mr. Incredible has gotten most of our deer this year from our land, and yes they were much bigger!
It may look like Kekoa is chewing on the deer but he is grabbing the strap
that hangs the deer and is helping raise it! LOL
It was a clean shot. No prolonged suffering occurred and all meat was harvested.

My mom is 82 and has been healthy her whole life...reason? she was raised on deer meat.
I wish I had access to some. It is a lot healthier.
I miss having some deer meat on hand. We are out! And Hubby has not been able to go for a couple of years.
